Awesome tip! We have always used a knife. Can you share a link to the types of gloves that work best? Thanks!

That's an excellent question, Jonesohms! We have the gloves available on our website and they come in three sizes. You can find them here mid-way down the page: www.floraldesigninstitute.com/collections/basic-tools They work so well and help to keep your roses in good shape for floral designs. With a knife, you risk nicking the rose and causing a wound on the stem. Thank you very much for stopping by to watch our latest Tulip Tuesday Tip. We hope you will visit us again soon and we wish you the very best in all that you do!

I also take them off one by one while listening to music. 200 roses from Florabundance will be coming my way soon. I just ordered the gloves to save time for designing. Will you have the leather thumb guards in stock again. Now, that’s what I need. 😅. Thank you as always🌹

Hello Lady Eliza! Someone else mentioned that they take the thorns off one by one as well so you are not alone in this approach. How lovely to have an order of 200 roses from Florabundance coming to you, and we hope you enjoy working with them. We are hoping to get more leather thumb guards in very soon, and you can always give the office a call at 1-503-223-8089 or an e-mail at rose@floraldesigninstitute.com if you have questions about when. We'll be happy to help as much as possible. Wishing you delightful designing soon and hope you have a splendid week. P.S. Thank you for taking the time to watch our Tulip Tuesday Tip!

Don’t laugh. I remove them one by one. So soothing. Cheaper than therapy. 😅

You are not alone, Cosima! Many floral designers do this although it can slow you down in those busy production periods. It is soothing though and we are glad you enjoy doing it. Thank you for visiting us today for this Tulip Tuesday Tip. We hope you are doing well and look forward to seeing you again soon. Best wishes for your week and may it be a stellar one in every way possible!
