Alot of people are buying it for the MF DOOM reference..
damn. i was staring at that doom book at the lcs on saturday. There were like 10 copies but i passed on it cause of the cover price lol. I guess Not all was lost though. Went to the antique shop on sunday and unearthed a nice mid grade copy of Metal Men #1 (1963) for $5

Oh man, I read most of that that book the other day; couldn’t get through it. It’s pretty bad; but I’ve now listed it on ebay for $35… 🤷♂️
I love customers that favor modern books. Means my back issues will continue to stay affordable for me.
$6.99 for a new book is crazy. Big reason I don't buy new books. Fairly large gamble...plus I'm broke as F lol

MF DOOM is my favorite rapper, so that’s why I got a copy of Doom. I had no idea how difficult it could be to buy a comic book.
Good read. Picked up the Wolf cover by accident at cover price.

I am going to stop buying new books in favor of buying tried and true older back issues.

Just snagged one for 13 bucks after shipping and I thought I was overpaying lol, this is crazy
I saw the price spike on the 17th and waited till today to see how many copies of cover A were left and he had 8. So I asked my LCS if there were up for grabs and he said yes so I grabbed 5 out of the 8 copies and I did the same for Strange Academy Blood Hunt 1 the Doaly cover since he still had 3 on the shelves. I talked to the other 2 LCS owners and they still have multiple copies of those books for cover. I'll wait till Friday and see if they sell out.

I put Doctor Doom on my FOC list, the A cover and the Granov variant. If ordered through FOC my shop gives a 10% discount, so got them both for less than cover. (-0.70) Happy about that, ordered them because I Iove the character and have really liked Hickman's Ultimate Universe work. Never expected the book to get hot. Not interested in selling. Did read the story and enjoyed it but confess to being a little confused by the ending. Will read it again. BTW, the book was oversized, so $6.99 is not unheard of.
Got last issue at LCS on Friday late afternoon. Impulse buy. Crazy prices. Glad I grabbed it.
