Bronze Utensils are actually very healthy to eat in, whereas it is equally injurious if the bronze use is impure
Bronze is a mixture of 88% copper and 12% tin. So choosing pure bronze is must. "Bronze (Kansa) Increases Intelligence" is written in Ayurveda. It also purifies the food and even cures acidity if kept in it for a while. Note: - Foods like pickle, curd, etc. should not keep in it.
Kansa utensils has been used for centuries for it's great properties.Kansa is mentioned in Ayurveda as kitchenware which has great medicinal properties. It is supposed to enhance immunity, is a good conductor of heat, and is known to purify food.Kansa is mixture of copper and Tin.The best proportion to manufacture utensils is 78% copper and 22% Tin.Kansa is usually used to eat food and drink water on a daily basis which helps enhancing the gut health.To test the purity of the metal, it should make a resonating sound similar to chimes that generate spiritual vibrations like the ones used in temples. Pure kansa is easy to maintain since it does not tarnish like copper or brass as it is corrosion resistant. However, it will lose its richness if exposed to air and moisture for a prolonged duration.Kansa dining ware has been used since the period of Samhita Kala and it brings phenomenal changes in human life.

The water stored in Kansa doesn’t become stale. Also, the metal helps in preventing water borne diseases like diarrhoea, dysentery, jaundice etc.Cleaning Instruction:In a small dish,combine equal parts flour and salt.Add white vinegar to the flour/salt mixture, using a few drops at a time until a soft paste forms (should be the consistency of toothpaste).Apply the paste to your bronze item using your hands (with the rubber gloves) or with a small polishing cloth
Note: Food Like Pickles, Curd etc. should not keep in it.Curd and sour substances should not be kept in brass and copper as the sour substances are acidic in nature and react with the metallic surface of the brass and copper to form some toxic compound which may be unfit for health.
