In this video we compare the JBL Boombox to the JBL Xtreme 2. I know... There is a big difference in size and so on, but I know that many of you want to know the difference in sound quality!
To match the loudness of the JBL Boombox and the JBL Xtreme 2, both are playing at different volume-steps.
For example: When the Boombox is playing at about 50% volume, the Xtreme 2 has to play at about 70% volume to keep up!

Boombox has WAY better mids, damn. Xtreme and Xtreme 2's highs take over most of the mids (still epic for their size, probably the best out there for that size/weight as well to be honest).
The Xtreme 2 Is actually the better balanced and tuned speaker here, lol
Imo Xtreme 2 actually sounded more balanced. Boombox had too much of treble coming out of its larger tweeters.

Hey Techkiste erstmal ein lob für die tollen Tests. Ich habe mit vor kurzem den jbl charge 4 geholt, allerdings bin ich mit klang / lautstärke / und akku nicht so zufrieden. Da ich den Lautsprecher für die Arbeit geholt habe und es dort ziemlich laut ist, brauche ich einen Bluetooth Lautsprecher der lauter ist als der Charge 4. Ich liebäugel nun mit dem extrem 2, allerdings weis ich nicht ob der ausreicht. Gibt es noch andere Alternativen zu dem? Größer als extrem 2 sollte der Lautsprecher nicht sein, also sollte noch in den Rucksack passen. Vielleicht kannst du oder jemand aus deiner community mir einen empfehlen.

Overall , Teufel rockster cross , and the boombox , which one has Better sound quality ?
Rockster Cross has more power overall and a more punchy bass. The Xtreme2 has a more natural sound and sounds (with firmware 2.0) up to 70% volume nicer to me. At high volume the Xteme 2 loses bass, the Cross keeps more bass at high volume...
@@techkistenet thanks , the cross is not sold in my country so I can not try it . How is about the boombox when comparing to the rockster cross ?
The Boombox has a lot more punch and is louder. But at low volume it sounds a little bit thin and has a hissing noise...
I cant decide between xtreme 2 and the first boombox,the price difference in my country is only around 100eur . Ive tried the boombox and it just blows the xtreme 2 out of the water for me.But ive noticed that a lot of people get that hissing sound on low sound/battery level on the boombox. Can somebody help ?
I just got the extreme 2. I love it. It has some hissing also but does not realy matter at all. The extreme is better if you are planning to go out whit the speaker because of its size and weight its easy to carry. I literally carry it everywhere I go now.
But here comes the but. I will probably also buy the boombox sometime just for its bass haha. But go for the extreme incase you want to fit a speaker in your bag.

If you have charge series and want to upgrade then yes. According to some youtubers the sound maybe better at xtreme 2, but its not that loud compare to charge 3-4. I don't know. Maybe the update will help

and? there is a small price gap, so this video shows what you're potentially paying more for

My problem is, that I have to use copyright-free songs on youtube. That‘s why I decided to use those songs
