I love this. She owns the space around her. She uses her sense of balance to bring the physics of the world into her performance, helping us to engage with her own experience.
I never quite understood dance as an art form until just a couple of years ago when I, due to a fleeting relationship with a woman who was a dancer, made the conscious decision to learn more about it. In order to better understand her passion for dance, I consciously made the decision to learn more about it. I soon realized that dance was central to her identity as a person. Amy's performance here, as well as her classical one, was one of the first that truly made dance "click" for me. Since then, only a few performances have had such an emotional impact on me. It still feels truly remarkable to me, and I struggle to find the right words to describe it. Although the relationship is long over, my interest in dance remains. It has truly had a small, yet life-changing influence on me. I would like to express my gratitude and say thank you for that.
Boof! Just walking onto the stage, telling a capturing story about what life throws at you and how to gain your own power while risking to break...and walks off like nothing happened. My, that's some spirit. Gonna watch her way.
I watched this on the day but the feed was bad and it kept jumping ...i missed so much of it ...glad this popped up as I was scrolling ...not a huge fan of contemporary ballet but loved her in both styles ❤ 🇦🇺❣🇦🇺
Honestly Amy Ronnefeldt's true strength is in contemporary dance. I watched her Paquita classical dance and I didn't see Paquita, only a smug, arrogant Queen Nisia from the now-defunct King Candaules ballet. Her choice of costume may had contributed to this image, especially with the towering crown she chose. On the other hand, the contemporary dance was clear and concise, which is why I feel that she succeeded in capturing the essence of the word suppress. That's why her best chances of stardom does not lie with any of the big dance companies; she would be more suited to a small dance troupe that specializes in works of contemporary dance.
I do not understand why you think not seeing the characterization you wanted means she is is poor classical dancer, she was amazing. So she has proven she can do both which wsa also shown in her being one of the winners.

This is just exquisite. Not only technically, but a dancer that expressed the emotion of the dance. And that pause at 1:49, perfection.
That beginning touch on shoulder was everything ✨
That was quite haunting and beautiful all at once. So very lovely.
I have Goosebumps from watching such a beautiful performance.
That beauty and grace I’ve never seen anything like it!
Just so brilliant Amy, I was emotionally deeply touched while mesmerized with your movement technique. Thank you 🙏🌸✨
So exquisite and sensitive.
It brought tears to my eyes.
Wow..🎉...dance to passion... Flutter of my heart .❤️❤️❤️🐈
⭐☺️❤️
Wow. What else can I say? I'm reminded a bit of Wendy Whelan. But she's got her own thing going on. Exquisite.
I was never a fan of ballet, but these performances are absolutely riveting.
Her lines are so clean and the movement is perfect creating beautiful shapes and twists immaculate dance and very emotional
Love this part the most 0:45

Belle musique ,belle danseuse ,mais on perçoit dans la chorégraphie une certaine pathologie ...par moment anxiogène comme souvent de nos jours ...
