Nice, i am following this series since the beginning and was wondering when you would try Beef. Thank you for this series, its really interesting, please keep it up.
Nice, Beef is one of the three new C/C++ alternative with a promising prospects, since you have done Rust, Zig and Odin, I would love if you would also do ATS2, although ATS3 seems to be on the way.
Hi Mike, your videos are some of the best out there and I love soaking in all the knowledge that you share. I am myself a bits and pieces programmer (I can figure out the difference between C, C++ or python code) but not a regular. I have recently taken up embedded programming as a hobby and I think I have got my calling. I want to learn a very modern programming language and implement them in whatever I do. Which of the RUST, Zig, Odin, V lang and D lang or any other modern lang would you recommend if the world were to start programming now? Thank you for all the great videos that you upload here. Your enthusiasm is what made me look into programming more seriously🙏
Cheers, thank you for the kind words! I really like the D language these days -- I think it could be a great language to start in as well. That's my biased opinion however. So choose whichever language excites you -- most have good resources on the web or on TH-cam otherwise.
It's amazing how much effort programmers put into creating stunning looking games but hardly any effort in creating a decent GUI for their applications.
@@MikeShah You're right. It takes an economic toll on Apple to pay all the accountants and Brink truck drivers to haul the hundreds of billions of dollars to the bank.
@@MikeShah C# is ubiquitous in the gaming industry as a scripting language - but there are some game engines (eg. Stride) that are written in the latest C#/.Net which is pretty cool for a managed language.
@@GaryChike Stride looks quite nice! I've seen this a few times, a really nice rendering engine www.stride3d.net/ (I also remember some other C# game engine from a bit ago -- might have been named something Blade or Slash3D that was .net with a subscription model. Unfortunately didn't pan out for them -- but was nice during the XNA days)

Ooo, I haven't heard of beef in ages. Didn't know it was still actively being used

Cheers! Ah yes, I know some folks working on ATS actually. I'll consider it!
@@MikeShah Thank you Mike!

Surf 🦞and Turf 🐄 (Lobster and Beef) - now, I'm hungry! 😋
Someone should make a game engine with Lobster and Beef and keep the animal naming like call it 'Gamefarm' or something lol.
@@twenty-fifth420 LOL 🤣

Any economic cost spent on GUIs I would assume is less time on the product. That said, I like VIM :)

Well, Mike, you might as well review another language that has C#-inspired syntax: Vala
I'm thinking after looking at Beef I probably even need to revisit C# 🤣

would love to see a video about nelua
Indeed, would be interesting!
Interesting, thanks for putting it on my radar!
🎉 Finally 😅
