The pickup truck merging at the last second on the Ft Pitt bridge is the most realistic thing in this video and that’s saying a lot given what an amazing job you’ve done so far!
Since I live in a smaller city in PA larger cities like this have always been fascinating to me, with Pittsburgh being the most accessible, I've only been there a few times but when I was there, it was awesome, so this is super cool to see! I've always loved the complexity and density of downtown and surrounding areas. So this is impressive!
As a frequent visitor and former resident of Pittsburgh, this quite honestly looks like the real thing. Complete with frequent lane changes, weaving, and tailgating... you would actually think you were in the car with a real Yinzer! 😂
In reality, I-376 is Pittsburgh's busiest highway in terms of traffic volume. I-376 is an auxillary route of I-76 Eastern that passes through Pittsburgh with it's original route completed in 1972. It's extension was completed in 2009 as it leaves Pittsburgh and connects the airport. It becomes a toll road after crossing the Ohio River and meets I-76 Eastern again in Big Beaver, PA (a Pittsburgh suburb) and travels through New Castle, PA where the tolled section ends. The last free section is between New Castle, PA and southwestern Mercer County, PA where it meets I-80. The I-376 Ext. is what I call an alternate route of I-79. It's weird why it's still signed as I-376, even though it's long since 2009 and connects it's parent route twice.
Wow…Color me seriously impressed! You did not pick an easy city to model, and this really looks impressive! BTW…I’m from Cleveland (Go Browns lol!!!!) and I really loved the drive out from Downtown on Blvd of the Allies to Phipps Conservatory/Carnegie Museum last time I visited PGH. It has a great view of the Southside Flats. Pittsburgh is a really cool city…very dense walkable neighborhoods in the center of town with some really interesting terrain. I really hope you can fill things in enough before you hit building limits. I’d love to see more!
Thank you so much for the kind words! Means a lot coming from a fellow creator like yourself! Cleveland was another city on my short list for this recreation/revitalization project by the way. My goal is to bring various city planning and beautifying techniques and improve transit in Rust Belt cities. Still a lot of work left to do with Pittsburgh first though!
I used to drive this route every day commuting from Monroeville to Greentree. The only thing keeping this from being 100% accurate is the lack of traffic... They don't call it "the parkway" for nothing. Also, @5:50 I can't tell you how many times someone did that exact same maneuver in front of me at that very spot. Amazing work!
That's a good idea! I'll have to go back and do more work on the South Hills soon. I have a few videos planned in between, but I want to detail around the T lines pretty heavily, and Dormont is on my list for neighborhoods to complete soon
Nah mate that BMW on the right at 0:45 should have immediately turned to the left lane and proceed to drive with agro speed. That would be realism. JK, nice city man really cool

Where should I drive through in Pittsburgh next? Hope you enjoyed!
I'd love to see you take 28 south from Aspinwall then take 579 to Seventh Ave. I love that view of the city from the Veterans Bridge.
@@csestini Great idea, thank you! I have a lot of work left to do on 28 but will definitely be posting that in the future

The truck merging at 5:50 was so accurate for how traffic works on that stupid interchange. Haha. Good work.
Thanks!

That drive inbound from the squirrel hill tunnels...as a regular commuter...you nailed it 👌

So good! As for where to go next, may i suggest Dormont? The Dor-Stop was always an excellent place to get breakfast!
