My guess is that Hank III is both the link to the past AND the future of music...after all these years he is STILL ahead of the curve - and exactly what we need today. Pure Gold
It's amazing how III looks so much like his grandpa. The bent knees, the slightly crooked posture at the top of his spine. I mean it's almost haunting to watch III perform. I think the music world was truly given a gift for a 2nd time and the industry is totally ignoring it or totally shinning it like his fat ass dad, Hank Jr. I mean when your own kid has this talent that you cannot deny WHO CARES IF YOURE NOT SUPPOSE TO SAY THE F WORD IN COUNTRY MUSIC?!?! Embrace your kid and the talent he has. He was never going to tarnish the name of Hank William's. That's why hes been sent to here TWICE!!! His grandpa did some things ppl gasped at in the 40s and look how he has been celebrated since then. Nothing shocks us anymore so the country world should have let III do his own thing and they should have embraced him. Shelton, if you read this! Dont let the mother fucking machine use your name and the great music you have given us to push country music when the watered down bullshit starts dying out and you're gone. That's what the fuck they will do. Do NOT let them profit from you when you're gone brother! If they want a piece of you they can do it while you're still here and let you do your own think and change the direction of country music. You fucking deserve it!!@

Fuck yeah Hank111 your the man...The only country I listen to is Hank3 ,those poor bastards, DAC..It took me 7 years 39 days to turn my ways around and only 1 day to fuck it up again...
My band FallenLine opened for Hank and Ass Jack sometime between 01-03 at Fitzgeralds in Houston Tx... They were really nice guys! We hopped on the Chimaira / Lamb Of God tour the next day, but I will never forget that show! They came out and played a traditional old time country set, they took a break, all the old people left and a huge group of misfits filtered in... Hank comes back without his hat, and I was shocked to see a bright green mohawk down to his ass... GREAT SHOW! If you get the chance, go see em!!!!
Hank 111 and band are the BEST ever! keep on doing what You do so great. love and admiration to You and all! Keep rocking, that Hellbilly, Punk coming to all of Us. TY.
Saw him at The Horseshoe in 2001 opening for Reverend Horton Heat and he really sounded good. I hope if he comes through Toronto he'll be at the Opera House cause they got a big stage and his whole band would have lots of room. From the video's I watched of him he's a showman that we don't see a lot in music and he really gives it his all. Keep up the good work Hank III.
I witnessed this 2 night's in a row when he played the rail club in fort Worth Texas and helped load him in and out with my buddy Bobby tilletson from warbeast hung with Hank on his bus after the set cool shit

Hank 3 my daddy sang your grandpas song's to a T. Daddy was from Booneville, ms and he left home at 13 to sing country songs on a carnival circuit and they paid him good money to do Hank songs his name is Cotton Flanagan, daddy played your grandpa's song's and the ones he wrote and recorded daddy kept the country and family tradition alive and we would be invited back stage when all the country legends played and my daddys band would open up and back up the national artist's every saturday night when they would come to Chicago and my daddy appeared weekly on a show broadcast across the Nation called THE BARNDANCE and daddy's song called The Rockdale Boogie sold close to 500,000 copys in 1952 and my daddy knew every Hank Williams song like it was in his soul, daddy got me and my sister Debbie Lee on stage and singing when i was 6 and my sister was 11 and my Daddy resembled your grand pa and it was scary. i truly believed in country music from the time i was 6 and i started played drums in my daddys band when i was 11 back in 1972. we had house gigs fri,sat and sunday jam sessions at every place we played so than when i was 14 i learned how to play bass cause where i came from in joliet il it was hard to find a singing bass player and i have been playing bass ever since im now 56 years old and i wanna thank your grand pa and your daddy and your self for keeping the country music that i grew up on alive. i lived in Nashville for 8 years and i was involved in a very bad car accident last dec 16 and im now finally being able to take a couple of steps but im still in a 24/7 care unit in joliet il called symphony nursing and rehab cause i cant walk and today is Jul 9th and i believe music has kept me going cause i should of died in that accident cause i had head trauma my right leg was broken in 5 places from my knee to my hip and i have titanium plate in my leg and 24 screws holding my leg together my bone in my leg looked like broken tree branches cause my leg was crushed and i lost 4 pints of blood and i broke my pelvic bone in half and i had two fractured hips broken nose and a chipped tooth lol and i have rods and screws in my back from a 3 level fusion with an artificial disc replaced in my back and i had to have a blood transfusion in the hospital and i was in a Coma for 62 hours well thats my story in the last year and i had a heart attack in september before the accident and i have a stint in my heart....god bless you hank 3rd for keeping country alive and i would love maybe a call or text from you in the near future i met your bassman at roberts in nashville a couple of times he's awesome Thank you so much for everything you do Ernie 615-974-0073... and hopefully i will be back doing shows again by the fall...god bless you...
Imagine if he did a homage to Sr and toured only playing his songs and dressing like him. Not for profit or ego, but to honor him. They wouldn't be able to sell enough tickets. Kinda like what happened when Jr drove the Wrangler 3 car. What a zoo Daytona was in the pits and garage area.
Shelton. Been watch n u from afar, praying for a visit, if u remember a dark haired girl with braids n ur grandpa's hat fields!!. C u soon, never know.
Damn I wish I could have been there. I don't know if it's cool to compare but he's just as awesome as his grandpa! No offence, now that I watched till the end ... he may be even more awesome! The whole band.
If Hank Williams had ADHD he soothed it down with alcohol, Hank Williams 3 doesn't drink like that. I imagine this is exactly how Hank Williams would be completely sober. A couple of balads would be nice. Or some covers of Hank Williams, even ones Jr. already did, because his version of those songs would be awesome rerecorded too.
