You're an impressively competent driver, to say the least. Very calm too. Did you talk to the "nein" lady afterwards? I bet she had a good sense of humor.
I know I'm watching a good driver when I can see the car responding to the minute steering, brake and throttle inputs. That chassis looks highly responsive and clearly taking advantage of the weight transfer mid-corner is a lot of fun. Really great video Robert!
Awsome drive, great commentary too. I am just about to take delivery of one off the very last A110’s in Australia. Due to no side airbags, this car no longer meets our regulations, however on the plus side in 3 years the total number of cars imported is exactly 110 (very fitting) . So very rare to ever see one on the road here. Really enjoy all your videos, keep up the great work and mix of cars too. Absolutely loved your classic BMW day drive - wow! Cheers from Brisbane
More great driving and another great video: I noticed you still had the car in ‘sport’ - holding the red button a second time will switch to ‘race’ which will automatically disengage TCS and prevent the car from auto-shifting up when it hits redline (apologies if you already knew this) thanks for more great content
Great vid! May I ask what your experiences of the base car vs the S model was like? Did you notice the extra power and stiffness? Also was the S louder? I have driven only the S, not had a chance to drive a base car, so am unsure if it’s worth the higher price! Thanks!
You would just change the camper of the car not the spring rates or bushings or anything. This way the character of the non s version would be retained, while turn in becomes more direct and untersteer would be replaced by oversteer.
@@foccachia camber is mostly mid corner grip, but that makes sense, I think I just misunderstood what he said in the video, thanks So from what I understand now the car just needs a more agressive alingment
Is it easier to drift than a cayman? I was on track with my 987 S and only way i could get it sideways was trailbraking. It was a big wide circuit but the power and grip just didnt let me drift easily. It would be possinle with proper weight shifting, but im not that good.
Similar with this. Just on power this car wouldn't go sideways in the dry. Too balanced and too much grip. You need to use weight transfer to your advantage, and then it will happily keep the drift.
Is it possible to set the steering wheel resistance? (I know it's electric) When I had a test drive my main complain was that. I can turn the steering wheel like a volvo family car. (But the road feedback was kinda good)
If I on the exit of the corner... just a little... NO! I do have to laugh a bit at Chris Harris etc. car reviews because no, not even most most tracks can you get your car sideways without grief.
It looks like an Audi, from the rear at least. Renault have been trying to look "more German" for a while now. [Compare to the rear of an Audi A7 and you will see. In case you didn't know, both Renault and Peugeot made public their intent to design their cars to imitate the style of German cars]
Leaving a like because I love your content, but this car is shit in an honest opinion. Driven it many times and it's cheap and shitty. A 370z beats it without a doubt.
I really like the 370z for what it is, but isn’t it about 400 kg heavier than the a110 ? I doubt that a stock 370z would have any chance to keep up with a stock alpine on any track. That said, I would still prefer to buy the Nissan as it’s much less expensive and probably much more robust, while still fun to drive.
@@Altesego1 Go to see Best Motoring... always the 370z nismo is last, they overheating, brakes are weak and they eat oil... Of course the weight is a lot, resalue value??? I need to continue?

She was actually very nice and understanding - just no drifting allowed.

This just motivated me to go driving tomorrow big time, only a few days left till winter tyres go on, thank you!
Wieder mal ein Mega Video, hab glaub vor 3 Jahren oder so abonniert, und gefühlt wird jedes Video immer und immer besser.
Smooooooooooth brother... just smooth. U understand so many things.
I have an A110 pure with geometry tweaks (more front camber and slight toe in)…wow! Great video.
Simon, are those the LIFE geometry tweaks? Which one did you go for (there are four) and what do you think?
Can you adjust the camber in the front?
When Mrs Caroline Bugatti says NEIN! to you…
You better listen! 😉
Another great car that we don't get in North America.

Channel is so underrated!
Always good work! This one gave me friday feeling! 🍻👍
Very nice color
Sehr geiles Video, freue mich schon auf den GR Yaris
I love this video. Great fun, great job. You are an amazing driver too. Thank you!
What a beautifully colored A110
What a hoot to drive this little pearl.
Great video, more Alpine A110 content please
Haha love the beginning.... Get yelled by the Trackboss
Awesome Video! The beginning is really funny haha. Good driving and you show whats the car all about.
So much room for activities 😂😂😂
Love this car

Cool driver and car
7:00 wouldn't that just make it a self-made A110s? Probably better on track, but at that point it maybe makes more sense to just go fo the S
Awesome video btw, always looking forward to your uploads, always great driving, cinematography, interesting cars and not talking BS lmao

Boo. I wanted to see the telling off.
Very nice car to drive
Very cool!
Cooles viedeo und mega geile drift s 👍
i'm thinking about getting an alpine or converting an mx5 ND2 for the track. What do you think?

I mean, light car gives light steering, and as long as the feedback is there, hm
But I haven't driven one yet, but I really want to
It gets a bit heavier in sport/track mode
@@miutzyh I used it only in that mode :D and it was a 110S.
cool!
Oh ja 'drifting ist verboten'. I see that marshalls in France are also lot of fun.
Bleu Paon !

Nicht mal ein bisschen? NEIN! :D :D :D
You can also use it on Nürburgring ;) th-cam.com/video/McLWB2CP15A/w-d-xo.html
Marshals always have to ruin the fun 😤
Amusant mais pas efficace

Okay, crazy, i don't see Audi in it.
Sources ? I just eared about they were trying to make care more high end.
Audi? 😂 I see a A110 in modern!
Um, what?
