My story is so similar to Jinger’s. In my teens, I attended a legalistic church, which left me spiritually wounded. Legalism is binding and akin to spiritual slavery; it neither brings freedom nor happiness. I am so happy God lovingly opened my eyes and taught me that He is grace, love and mercy. He is a loving God. 🙏🏼🫶🏼

I'm so glad she is speaking on the fear that Christian adults tend to instill in children that have know proper biblical knowledge. They use God more as a weapon than a savior. It's not until you grow up and learn and read the Bible and build a personal relationship on your own with God. That you know that some adults will use anything to control.

I also grew up in a big family (not as big as yours, though) and was homeschooled and can relate with almost everything you talked about. Thank you for sharing your story.

This woman is a necessary voice, unfortunately over the years we have seen religious leaders distorting the word of God causing fear, guilt and shame and this moves us away from God, because we create an image of a bad father, but God is a good father. The Christian faith is NOT an unbearable burden full of perfectionism.

How can you have a relationship with a God that you're frightened of.?
And if you're being threatened by the same very God that if I don't worship this God, I'm going to go to hell. well that's compulsion. That's not unconditional love. That's nothing to do with Jesus Christ The people that are deconstructing are huge followers of the Bible. people say that deconstruction they're losing their faith.. no no no no just the opposite they're gaining their faith. because to be in fear and indoctrination that is a compulsion You're being made to do something. A parent that beats their child that child can't truly love that parent. because he's afraid of that parent. Authoritarian parents that want their children to think a certain way walk a certain way talk a certain way they'll grow up to have very resentful angry children who will not have nothing to do with them. Because they're afraid of that parent and they'll never establish bonds. When you teach children that if they go and be gay they're going to go to hell that's child abuse. And all these gay children are huge Bible readers to a compulsion they're compulsively been reading the Bible all the days of their life not like their straight counterparts even more so because their lives depended on it because of stigmatation from the likes of Kirk. I'm praying for y'all We are family and this is your family on the other side not evil spiritual warfare This is your family and your family consists of LGBT children and that's a reality. Now what y'all do with that reality well we're all looking at it watching it for the last 15 years We're watching it It's playing out for the whole world to see. Just don't know how it's going to end. But remember this we are all family whether you like it or not and if you're going to go to heaven you're going to go to heaven with the family. Cuz I don't believe in a hell. And if there is a hell this has become pretty much close to a hell We're to make the kingdom on earth the kingdom of Jesus is inside of us and we're to live it out daily love your neighbor as you would love one another love yourself and love one another This is the highest commandment of all the prophets they all fall on this. ❤🏳️‍🌈😇🙏
