This song reminds me of my mum, and snowy days,,,she used to listen to it and watch the snow lightly falling down,,, your performance is absolutely breath taking…. A very difficult song,,, may be one day I can learn it. Thank you for sharing this. 👏👏👏👏❤️
I've watched this at least 10 times now. My teacher thinks I can learn this. Ya, right! This is so awesome. Please post more videos Mr. Niemczuk, and thank you for this little gem!
Very good ! I played this piece several times but not faster than half the speed. Thank you for the clear emphasis which make it sound like the orchestra version. I will try to learn it this way.
WOW it's the first time I'm listening to this piece as the solo piano! Excellent interpretation (and piano translation)! It's so difficult to pick up such a piece on a hammered instrument like the piano! You brought out all the voices of a full orchestra, so magically and bold! And the accents and syncopations were all well-preserved perfectly! Very bright, I'm listening to this many times! Thank you 🌹
SO WONDERFUL AS ALWAYS, MAESTRO!!!!! Thank you for my favourite Grieg and for an excellent performance, I've added this great video to my public playlists called "My Favourite Classical Music" and "Mr.Grzegorz Niemczuk", again my best regards, have a nice relaxing weekend. Joanna
Beautiful piece and played beautifully! I'm 52 and played that part on piano but easier version in front of public! I was so excited! :-) Thank for sharing Mr Niemczuk.
A beautiful rendering of the piece. The contrats, the tempo, the sensitivity and the very clear emphasis on piano and pianissimo, forte and fortissimo make this piece a real delight. J.L
You are a wonderfully accomplished pianist! Nuances, impeccable clean technique yet magically expressive, sense of rhythm and a perfect pedal and una-corda play (I was looking at your feet too)! Not to mention those Bechstein that are a timber marvel!
Excellent performance! Am looking for Grieg pieces to play an drought make me definitely want to choose that one! I am also a high level pianist and enjoy playing piano.
Hi! Wonderful. I’ve just discovered your channel whilst going through a very old (1930s) music anthology I got second hand yesterday. I’m reading along to each piece when I find a video to match. Glad to have found you. Looking forward to your future videos. Have a great weekend
Thank you for sharing your talent with us. Beautifully played. The Bechstein is a wonderful instrument. How does the Bechstein compare to a Steinway D? If only I knew how to play.
Hello again, may I use 2 minutes of this piece for a video?? I only need the sound, your beautiful sound, Anitra's dance fits the Halloween spirits, sort of, I'll need 2 minutes of your rendition for sound effects editing, I will post the link to this performance in my video obviously if you allow me use 2 minutes of your playing, that was beautifully played, bravoooooo 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
@@gregniemczuk thank you 😃, I'll post here the link to the video with the sound effects when it's done, I still have to draw everything, animate everything, add special pixels effects and this will take over a week to be ready. Peer Gynt was also my mum's favorite piece ❤️ as was Chopin her favorite composer, I don't have parents nor baby sister anymore, they died in a very tragic way, unfortunately, that is why I've stopped playing as a pro. Thank you for letting me use those 2 minutes 👍👍👍👌👌👌😊
Great song and performance! Really makes me feel sad about how there is so much repetitive BS on the radio and something like this isn't played over and over instead of, say, [insert generic pop song here]!
I'm here cuz I'm writing a paper and trying to find out who the HECK ..are peer gynt and what anita has to do with it 🤔🙁 it's frustrating because I can't find anything...i live in the boon docks of Texas...not much classical down hither
The witness ruined this song for me, the bonus area is so INFURIATING!!! I have to finish randomized puzzles before the song finishes up, there are like 20, and every time I get close it ends.
I played this tune at age 9 for a recital - thought it was another year but then remembered the dress my Mom bought me for it and was third grade. My teacher wanted to make me a prodigy. But he got divorced and left. Future teachers did not challenge me enough to want me to stick with piano.
It was not your future teachers - it is you yourself and your parents - who didn't push you enough so that you missed your chance. Learning music at this level is not fun for 10 year old - it is a hard work and only the most determined succeed.
boi i hopeu knoq i can play this song so much betters thans yuses. Im only 54 yeaars yung and i can sacue u tight pants jogstrap looking well kempt skumbags out the water
The melody is always beautiful.

Awwwwew, beautiful memory. I'm so happy I brought it!
I did it as a duo so it wasn't too bad but it was fun :)
Adoro esta composição! Parabéns!
Yo tambien.

Bruce Hansen ain’t too hard. Kinda tricky to keep the rhythm consistent but you can do it
Just practice hard and you can do it!
A+
You can do it! Start slow 👍

Sehr schön!
Po tym co uslyszalem jest pan dla mnie wyjatkowo utalentowanym pianista.

Beautiful!!
I know how hard it is to learn, cause I am learning this in the moment. Respect.
Max Mustermann Yeah that's right
Agreed.
I have been learning to play this song for a few weeks now, this vid helped me find the feeling of the real dance and now I am playing way better

Fabulous performance! 💜

Bechstein ❤
Ah I love this interpretation!!! I'm playing this as a duet and it's really fun
You are a wonderfully accomplished pianist! Nuances, impeccable clean technique yet magically expressive, sense of rhythm and a perfect pedal and una-corda play (I was looking at your feet too)! Not to mention those Bechstein that are a timber marvel!
There’s so many pianos omg
Excellent performance! Am looking for Grieg pieces to play an drought make me definitely want to choose that one! I am also a high level pianist and enjoy playing piano.
Very nice rendering and expression.
Fabulous!
This is incredible! Even though I cannot play the piano (I play percussion)this seems really cool!
Excellent!
I remember learning this a few years ago. It's been so long...
This piece is so pretty! Well done!
I love the way you play!

Incredible this is so hard to play it 😨
Panie Grzegorzu.... Czy to jest wersja Urtext czy jakies arrangement? Bardzo bym prosil o odpowiedz .... serdecznie pozdrawiam
Dzień dobry. To urtext, wersja Griega. Peters.
@@gregniemczuk super... sprobujemy ;-)
I can’t play that quick although this song is really awesome 👏
☺💟💟💟💟
Quest For Glory IV FTW
I was playing it when I was 14 at music school... too difficult for me ...
*_amazing!!_*

+1 sub this is great!
Is the transcription of Grigory Ginzburg?
No, it's the original Grieg's version.
BRAVO!!!!!!

odplywam !
I can play this but after watching this I realize i am playing the piece much to slowly
Anyone else familiar with the part at 0:17-0:20? Sounds a bit like the Harry Potter movies to me? :D
The witness ruined this song for me, the bonus area is so INFURIATING!!! I have to finish randomized puzzles before the song finishes up, there are like 20, and every time I get close it ends.
As a 12 year old learning this its hard with small hands...💀
Ikr ;-;
But im 15 , my hands are still smol tough lol
I feel you, but you can do it.
got here from joy luck club haha
Same
Same! I'm reading it right now
Same, reading the book right now 🎶🎶🎶😍😍
Very nice technique...but I did not liked the tempo...it's been played soooo fast... It should have been played in "Mazurka" tempo...:/
To fast to fast 😮
Sooooooooooooooo lange🤔🤔

Unfortunately, too mechanical of a version for me -- no feeling... This song needs to snatch your breath away!
Thanks for the comment. Gosh, that was like 10 years ago!! I definitely play it better now 😀😀😀😀😀😀
@@gregniemczuk would love to hear your progress...
Great
