This was one of those projects that looks deceptively simple and also has a huge impact on making a garden area look complete. After several years of research I landed on Straight Curve corten steel edging and have to say that it was totally worth the grueling work of installing 250 linear feet of it. I was so happy to find Straight Curve, it's actually an Australia based company and is fairly new to the US market. It a great range of simple, clean steel edging products. I'm sure we'll be seeing it used as it gets out there! I can't wait for the steel to start getting it's patina soon.
I paid for this product, I'm simply recommending it as a great product and the owners of the US distribution company were so helpful with planning my order. I'm using Straight Curve products in 3 separate areas in this season's renovation projects.
I used both the flexible and rigidline products

I get my music & sound fx from Soundstripe, when I was a new TH-camr I wanted a custom feel to my soundtracks without the crazy cost of some of the big licensing companies that charge by song, with Soundstripe-it’s one monthly or annual fee and unlimited access to their library which I find full of cool, contemporary and interesting options. I love the disclaimer at the beginning. The edging is amazing, but the progress in the street side garden is even more amazing. I couldn’t take my eyes off it. Congratulations on an amazing installation. 👏🏻👏🏻

i couldn't believe it myself when I watched the video from last year, so many of the plants were so tiny! I think having a full season with irrigation and good mulch really helped them establish.

steel is so classy for edging. Every time I'm down at the mansions on Bellvue Ave in Newport (RI), I admire it and wish I had it in my own home. This and Victorian/Edwardian iron fences I geek out over. Great job on the installation!

So happy to see Straightcurve is available in the US now. Their product line looks great compared to other edging companies.
Well done on this project!!! I'll be back again to refer to this video for tips. Thank you!

Your neighbors are lucky to have such a beautiful public garden to enjoy. The edging looks fantastic-I can’t imagine trying to tackle that project. I have a hard enough time edging my garden beds in a straight line.

Oh my gosh! Your sidewalk flower beds are amazing! I didn’t realize you had so much garden space on the outside fence line! Just beautiful!

aw thanks, yes the outside the fence gardens are pretty large-maybe 2500 square feet. I installed these plants last July so it's been great seeing them start to fill in. We definitely lost a few things and will need to add to some areas but the neighbors love seeing it. Here's the video from last summer:th-cam.com/video/vby09qy4Rh4/w-d-xo.html

that's a huge pet peeve of mine, even if channels get things for free, I wish they'd talk about the real costs just so people can be informed about what projects cost!

You're like me. I do alot of stop, stand there, stare at it, and think. 🤣 That might be my favorite part of working on stuff actually.

Great tips here Sullivan. I need to replace the aluminum edging we put in 11 years ago and this brand looks like a great option.

I really have loved everything I’ve tried from them, I got a few samples of their wall panels to try making crushed stone steps. They have a trade discount as well and I spoke the wife in the duo that started importing the line-she’s great and very helpful!

Use concrete to secure the inside of the edging.

Too permanent for me, we will have to do sidewalk work at some point and need to remove sections but good tip for other applications!

Why do videographers use "music" that turns off half their viewers. Can't watch

    • @Sullivan_Owen
      @Sullivan_Owen  ปีที่แล้ว

Well Barry, if there was no music at all there would be more comments about it being too quiet or boring. There is a mute button for audio as well as one for such commenters. Cheers!
