After burning in my headphones for 10 consecutive years, I am now able to hear the whispers of the gods beyond the the veil of the cosmos. I am also now insane.
I left this on via my desktop PC. About an hour in my wife calls me and says, "babe I think your computer is about to blow up or something!" LUL I'm dying
Believe it or not this actually works. I've had some gaming headphones I've used maybe 2 or 3 times in the past 2+ years do they weren't even close to broken in. I felt like experimenting with one of these break in tracks and see if I could perceive any improvement or difference. Prior to running the burn in track I listened to 1 musical track and the headphones had a strong boxey sound. Ran the burn in for an hour and proceeded to check expecting no decernible difference and to my surprise the boxey sound character was gone. I listened to the same track that I did prior to the "burn in". I've been playing guitar for 20+ years and speaker break in is definitely real. I felt like experimenting with this rather unused headphones and have to admit, this makes a difference.
Audio A+. it was like I went to the moon and back...it’s also great to hid the wireless headphones around the office to break them in. Then act like everyone else is going insane hearing things.

Thank you so much for this excellent Burn In Track. The difference is more than remarkeble - got my Rowen Symphony S10 paired with the Mastersound Dueundici playing this the whole weekend. Wife and the kids went to her parents, but it's definitely worth it. Finally the magic of vinyl unfolds it's full potential. Same for the JBL Charge 2 of my son, just magnificant - like whole new setup!
@@tomc6593 yes, ive tried on a few of my audio equipment, speakers, headphones, IEM, I really do not think it is purely placebo. I think it loosens up the new drivers, a not so great analogy would be warming up a car when you just started it.

How long did you let them burn and how do you like them? I am debating the Philips Fidelio X2 and I know people were saying these were really good. The X2, DT 880 and DT 990 are all ones i'm considering.
Been burning them in everyday whilst at work doing 12 hour shifts. They sound good for games and films. Music is ok but i do would like more bass. Very comfortable to wear. Looking for a portable headphone with more bass. Heard dt770 have more bass.
I think the main thing i'm worried about is going to be the bass and comfort level. I have a set of Creative Aurvana Live! that are pretty fantastic but the bass isn't crisp or deep enough. Have you been using this and pink noise to break them in?

Burning in some cheap over-ears all the same type and keeping some others as a reference. This does work perfectly for me. "Unburned" they sound like they were fallen into water or something :)
Not sure if breaking in head phones is necessary --- the research goes both ways. Some manufactures recommend it, others say it is a myth. I figure it can't hurt and may help. Nothing to lose. THANKS for making this. I started it and went to dinner. Finished soon after getting home.

my left headphones have been deteriorating in volume (headphones used to be balance L and R). After the 1st burn in for about 1 minute, the balance has now restored. My L and R are now equal again
Had just played this half way on my iPhone 8 Plus speakers at one click before max volume to see what would happen. Now I’m actually hearing decent bass for a phone and plenty of treble. It also seams to spit out more details. I’m in disbelief...
Burning in is definitely real though i'm not sure about doing it for 30 hours. If you were no listen to headphones fresh out of the box they do sound slightly different than they will after burning in for about 25 minutes ish. In my experience it usually lets the bass breathe a little more when you burn in.

If you are unsure if burn in has any effect, just burn one speaker in or burn the headphones in with the balance control set to one side. You can then listen to each speaker seperately and check the sound or try the headphones by wearing them the right way round and then the wrong way round. If it _does_ have an effect, you will have to burn the other speaker or 'phone in so it can then match the first one. I don't know what the result of this will be but I am so intrigued that when I buy some new speakers soon - I want to try it.
Thanks for this. Clearly some are very ignorant about the value of this. My High End DAC just died, so running this through my preamp/processor now. Never used the USB Circuits in this before, Wish it was 8 hours min, as the pre/pro will not play DSD, which is my burn in CD's format. Guys, it can take over 300 hours for electronics to burn in. Not opinion, simple fact.
+odessit777 If I was you, I'd rather be heading to the hospital for sanity and brain/skull damage first, I'm almost positive that thing shorted in your ears causing you temporary (if not medicated permanent) deafness. Then head to the Apple store.
I have used Sony, JLab, Mpow, Skullcandy, Apple, Bose and taotronics headphones (both over ear, in ear canal, bone conducting) used Volume 1/2 increased 2x every hour and then finally max at the last 30 include a subwoofer break in 10-80hz and you'll have beautiful loud treble and superior Booming back in all this track is fire asf for burning in headphones have been using for 4 years and still will thanks 👍

My Audioquest headphones sounded like complete garbage until they were burned in. Now they are fantastic.
