I will say it is a breath of fresh air to know it's sitting at 300k across all platforms, that's much bigger then something like TF2 Which is what I assume the devs thought the player base would be (not saying that out of disrespect I just think during cb-ob then got to see how popular this game already is)

Honestly I’m easy to please for next season, if it’s the same as S2 (cool BP, new map, new mode, and something new for each class) then I’ll be more than happy.
Above and beyond would be, imo, a more lore heavy update to get to know the sponsors and some career progression around that. Make put some faces to the names we hear so often, specially Sophia and whatever is going ok with Volpe’s new tech

The thing i want the most rn is an overhaul to the cashout gamemode. My number one change would be to add an extra 10sec to a cashout when it gets stolen within the last 10 seconds (to prevent last minute shield body block strats). 2nd i would like to see them tweak the final round, right now it feels like a running simulator to get to the cashout (make spawns closer and respawns faster but cashout time shorter?). 3rd, i want them to add some overtime when holding a vault, so many games are a guaranteed loss at 40 sec left when no vault is tapped (boring/frustrating). 4th is fixing some pain points on some maps, like the hospital on seoul or elevator cashouts (not fun imo). Yeah I think as well once a team gets so far ahead in that mode they can essentially troll or determine who qualifies into the next round. Third partying is super annoying in ranked, and I would actually play Terminal Attack over cashout if it was ranked just to avoid that. I do agree though there could be a few tweaking that mode because there’s so much that can happen especially when you play in Diamond

It’s just that my brain is for some reason always working on 150% speed and I keep coming up with thoughts or ideas that would be good to talk about, then ofc keeping the work on my community server etc. I know it’s unhealthy but I’ll work on it at some point :)
No.1 QoL feature for me would be a sepearate UI button in the "game search section" for "find quickest game" searching for selected gamemodes a la Titanfall 2.Separate search for each gamemode splits thr playerbase and is a design oversight.
Ohhh damn okay yeah I think that idea is a first for me, it would definitely help give back some time just spend in the menu screen, and sometimes I swear that estimated queue isn’t that accurate.
However, since the updates in EU at least matchmaking has gotten faster, but for other regions like OCE for example, I’d think that would help a tonne

Yeah exactly that, I think people have a lot of other games they want to grind too so I don’t blame them, even when you personally hit a goal of let’s say Diamond 4, what’s the incentive to grind again?
What we really need is an option to save the skins that we create And please don’t add a cap to the amount of skins. that we can create and save.
Because it’s really annoying when I’m making a new outfit and let’s say I wanna change my outfit again. I would have to find all of the clothing options all over again. and that gets really annoying.

Yeah a small and fair change for sure. I was thinking being able to go one step further and be able to “showcase” your outfits and skins to your friends, just a small community addition as I love taking inspiration and ideas, also seeing what people like running :)

KBM support on console: Embark is pretty open about most questions, but for some reason KBM support is just out of the window..?We haven't gotten an actual answer on whether it'll return to console, and it's exhausting to keep hoping only to be disappointed by each new update without it.
Yeah I remember they added that in then removed it and I think they shadow removed it too without mentioning in patch notes. I would say input based matchmaking could resolve a lot of those issues is controller console players don’t want to play vs keyboard console players, but not sure on the core reason why they removed it
We can look into KBM again in the future and see if/when we can get it back in… most important is that we can make a great implementation of the feature for the players... ._.
Mnk support for console in a game like the finals would be way too OP against other controller players. It would give an unfair advantage to those who have an mnk and know how to use one(which there aren’t many console players who can play mnk correctly or at all). I have 100 hours on console and 200 on pc. I get 20 bombs nightly with mnk. Just wouldn’t be fair in roller dominated lobbies

Honestly I'm really hoping to see more optimizations to the game, I have a lot of friends who can't even run the game at all low settings, even on modern hardware, like a 4060 for example.

Really? Hmmm that's strange I haven't had any issues with this and I don't think I've heard my community talking about 4060's not being able to run the game. Has your friends reached out to the support? (Not the Discord, the website) they are pretty good at helping out with requests and fixed some things my friend had a while back.
I’m on a 3070 and run this game at 1440p with consistent 120fps so idk what’s going on with your friends pc
100%. I get its a pretty graphically taxing game cuz of all the destruction and UE5, but sometimes my game just _chugs_ man. Apparently you used to get like 200+ FPS in the alpha and it even ran consistantly smooth in the open beta too so I don't know what happened.
If your friend is unable to run the game on a 4060, then this is a clear issue of bottlenecking. Have them upgrade their processor to be able to work at the same pace with the 4060. I have a 4060 as well with an i5 13600K. I get between 190 to 200 FPS on medium graphics settings.

Thanks for the video. What I'd like to see is more detailed statistics. For instance, how many light/medium/heavy matches you've played, win percentages per class, kill/death ratio over time, per day, and more such stats. I think it should be easy to implement because I find the current statistics very minimal.
Ohhh 1000% this is something I asked about before but I really like this idea splitting per class etc etc, thank you, will feature this in my next bigger video!
I want a mute toggle and key bind for the open mic voice chat mode. It’s not always convenient to push a button to shout to your team mid-fight, but always open can be frustrating for teammates too. I would like a toggle state along with bindable options including F1-F24.
Ohhhh like a "clutch key" or something haha, yeah I agree with you, pressing a bind to temporarily mute is pretty much needed because sometimes you just wanna full focus and you might have that info they are relaying. Good suggestion!!

Yessss, community is very important in this game to build up, because right now it’s pretty much relying only on Discord, but maybe I want to simply talk in game and not do all that adding on other software etc etc
The notion of "we won't run out of weapons for diamond" kinda irks me. Really hope that the game dosent become oversaturated with weapons and gadgets.
Also kinda surprised the supposed highly competative teased thing is ruby. I always thought it any future rank that supercedes diamons wouldve been topaz. Yellow being the identifying color of the finals and all.
Ahhh I like that, it's an interesting angle I didn't think about topaz... hmmm, maybe it's for something else then? Not sure... But yeah I don't know if the plan for Embark is to go with a "new weapon each season" then that statement WOULD be true, but opens a can of worms for sure down the line. I don't think I mind it that much, as sometimes I do just like shooting a different rifle, pistol etc, but gadgets is another question... I would love if there was a tournament mode where the map changed each round. It’s something I’ve thought about since the release trailer where you can hear the announcer say “this group dominated the rooftops of Monaco, and joined at their league in skyway stadium” considering that trailer also had a teaser about CNS maybe it’s not too far off
Very well constructed video. I appreciate you being clear and concise. I’m a casual player that enjoys competitive games (plat 1) Love the game, can’t say enough good things about the devs. I’m unable to hear in game voice chat (series x). Apparently it’s a known issue for some players. Hopefully it’s resolved soon as it’s very frustrating. For season 3, in the new terminal game type, maybe our health could be fully rejuvenated instead of partially. I think everyone likes the possibility of winning a two or three v 1 battle if you’re the last man standing. Hard to do with only a fraction of health.
Thank you for the kind words! Yes I’ve heard across the board that Xbox Series X are having issues and I do think the devs are working on a fix for that soon, but don’t quote me on it. Usually in big patches, the devs manage to iron out a lot of those bugs so I think season 3 is only 30 days or so away, but I think it could be fixed by then
I'm hoping for a new mode to come next season as well. Whether it would be a "capture the flag" styled mode, or something similar to oddball from Halo. With an item that a team has to hold in order to score points. Dropping it on the floor won't score any points. I could see this working with like "mini cash out machine" with a set amount of cash. Team with the most cash wins when the mini cash out is empty or the match timer ends.
Yessss! CTF or run it back with some nostalgia with a "rush" mode or something, definitely what I'm looking to see be added/expanded upon in the game. Oddball again, another nostalgia classic and I agree with you that it would fit suuuuper well with this game, good ideas!
@@THiiXY Ooooo rush would be an amazing idea! Especially considering the size of the maps and the existing cash out points. They would just need to arrange a good route through the maps.

3:26 yesterday morning i got falsely banned from the video reports system, embark just looks at one video of a lucky shot or someone using audio to find an enemy and ban them for cheating. their support isnt any help right now, and i cant even defend myself.
Hmmm sorry to hear that :( Yeah I think reporting is quite iffy right now, because video reports are ONLY really helpful when it's 100% obvious cheating, so I don't think it's fair to ban someone based off of ONE play, as that's pretty unfair. I will make this a topic to mention and bring to light for you because that's a big issue.

The ability to change the opacity of the objective markers would be an awesome feature to add, it is so hard to see sometimes

one of the biggest things i desperately want for the game is more usage of the currency that players get in order to buy guns. Once you’ve collected them all, they’re just completely useless and wont have another use til a new gun drops.
I feel like it would be cool if we could convert those coins into one that can be used in the item other item shop. While sure, id understand if the conversion rate is low, it would be cool if they rewarded high skill players!
If they truly wanted to make it high skill to use them, having a game mode which works identically to the tournament. The only difference being that the winners get a few of the other coins used in the item shop. Additionally, it could costs around 3k of the other coins to enter. I feel as if would make a very interesting experience which would finally allow some of the players who simply cant afford items to collect them with hard work and dedication.

Also your idea I really like, it was close to what I was mentioning or talking about for the future ideas of the VR's and I think Embark already have an idea for what they will use in Season 3, but allowing them to be spent into skins is something I think we can all agree would work pretty well.
Tournament rewards for them though? I didn't think of that, and I do think this would be cool if they made it so community nights could reward you with those VR's but I like the concept of "putting it into a wider pool for entry fees" that's a sound concept, I'll reference this comment when I do the video, thanks!!

Yeah even though I like the Season 2 theme a lot I really enjoyed that kind of Season 1 Red theme it felt a lot more like it was closer to the game. I will say that background killed my eyes though lol

@@THiiXY Yeah, and though I haven't tried the terminal attack mode and therefore don't really have an opinion on it yet, I think it should stay, as it gives players more options, as previously mentioned. A bad example of this is apex. Apex has 2 battle royale modes, 1 ranked mode and one multiplayer playlist where the game-mode keeps switching every 10 mins...this is extremely lackluster and players have to literally log on at exact times to play the multiplayer mode that they want to play. Also, do you plan on making more videos with the bongo drums? If so, I can't wait!
Ahaha of course, I'm actually recording a video today with the bongo drums! :D 100% agree, gamemodes do mostly only have a positive to bring in new players. The only negatives is that if the current playerbase doesn't like it as much, then they aren't as happy but I think at this early stage, it's fine.

You know I’ve heard this a lot and I actually don’t oppose to the idea, it would give you something else to grind towards and also who doesn’t like decking out a weapon?
I think if “balance” is a concept then either make it cosmetic OR globally nerf all the weapons across the board (yes another nerf I know but hang on) so that the attachments added onto the gun would make it close to what we have now, with some variations like faster ads if you choose XYZ or maybe slightly faster rate of fire etc (compared to what the gun was like before a global nerf and cosmetics).
Just an idea maybe a bad one someone might have a better take
I think that a propulsion grenade would be a great addition. It wouldn’t do any damage, but It could clear debris making it easier for longer range guns to get angles or so that such debris don’t get in the way when taking the cashout. It could also be used to push players away from the box or throw them off the map, or be used on yourself for movement. Honestly I think it could be a little too good, so if I were to add it in I would make it have a small slash radius on player targets, meaning you would have to be accurate when throwing at them. Either way I think it could be a great addition as very well all around gadjet, but I don’t know what class would have it. Maybe light because right now their meta gadgets are mainly for kills so that would make the class more supportive, but tbh I would be jealous of the gadget as a medium main lol.😂

Hahah no I love hearing the ideas! I think propulsion grenade would be a great idea, especially when we have classes being able to “manipulate” the cashout (mediums dematerialiser / heavy gravity) so maybe some love for lights in that area but stun is quite useful for a cancel tool, however movement, that’s a real helpful addition.

#1 Season 3 Feature: The return of Unranked Tournament
Most of my friend group stopped playing-or even uninstalled-when Unranked Tournament was removed. Unranked Tournament was an excellent way for people of different skill levels to experience the fun of a tournament without the sweat or risk of de-ranking found in Ranked.
The game is called THE FINALS, but there is only a single mode in the entire game where you can even reach THE FINALS. This is a crime.
It’s small but I want to be able to save and quickly swap custom outfits lol, I got too much drip to fit on 6 loadouts
Trueeee!! I think it would be cool to experiment with being able to showcase our outfits at some point down the line, just a small addition but I love checking out peoples drip :D
Thixy please. It feels you are the only one who can help. I have tried going into the discord, leave tickets and suggestions. For Xbox series x the voice chat hasn’t been working for the past months. I love this game and I am a competitive player but the lack of this feature working has made me very frustrated to the point that I don’t want to play anymore. I know this is not only me as I see other people on Xbox with the same problem. I don’t know why it’s not acknowledged or fixed but I’m tired boss. I don’t know what to do other than just stop playing.
No you’re 100% right to feel annoyed, and I would be too especially if you can’t comm in ranked for example. I’ll pass on this issue to the developers as I’ve heard it quite a few times now and see what they say, but I agree that the lack of communication or acknowledgment is annoying as a console player too. I hear you.

I really hope they add static crosshairs in season 3. It's so frustrating on certain weapons to have your sights on them but your bullets going elsewhere.
Yeah I think in the Reddit AMA they were looking into "more customisable crosshairs" I don't know if/how static xhairs will be implamented though
i really wish that embark made the unlock system better like doubling the amount the VRs you get to unlock more gadgets/weapons because for me who hasn't unlocked every item it feels like a super long grind

after playing the game for a while i got used to it in game but what i don't understand is why no text chat in the menu or why when i add someone as friend in the game there no steam friend request has been send like comn bro this a basic stuff and yeah u can't add someone to the party unless you are party leader. very weird decision making regarding this topic
Yeah I agree with you, there’s been so many times where I had a good team-mate and added them but we wasn’t able to co-ordinate setting up a schedule for when we would play next, so yeah this feature would be suuuper helpful
For season 3, I want to see a real match maker. Unlike the one we have right now where it seems that all randoms are always bad and all enemy teams are the most coordinated. I also want a real ranked system. The one we have right now only gets competitive when you reach plat. Even then, it's the whole "whoever plays longer, ranks up" kinda deal which I'm not a bug fan of.
About the video, your reasoning about the replay system being close to impossible to create or maintain is very sound. But, if Embark cracked the code for moving destruction server-side, then it's Embark who will pull some Voodoo magic and suddenly surprise the world again.
Personally for me, this season doesn't have much left to offer. I'm excited to see where the game goes in the next season and beyond.

Yeah and I also think that it’s important to distinguish between breaks as well, I’m sure the developers know that not everyone is going to play this game all day everyday and sometimes, especially when you’ve completed your personal objectives like achieving Diamond or the contracts. I think Embark stated that they were looking into improving ranked for Season 3, so I’m looking forward to seeing how that plays out. I agree with you, if Embark have already pulled voodoo magic then I can’t count them out doing it again at some point lol

Haha thank you!! Yeah it would be funny if they made a CNS hacked mode where they show all the values and meshes that it takes to run destruction in the game just so we would see how crazy it is lol
Kill cams are the worst, let me explain. If you have found a great spot to defend your cash out while also staying hidden, the kill can will show your exact location as soon as you get your first kill. It completely ruins the advantages of being strategic for where you hide.
Also let’s say you are on 1hp and manage to get a kill while hidden in a corner somewhere. That player who just died will see you kill can and instantly tell his teammates where you are.
It changed the flow of the game in a negative way.

one of the issue with having no replay is that neither them have some, so when it comes to manual banning they're pretty bad at it, lost 3 accounts to that ( top 1k leaderboard with light )
Yeah I'm sorry to hear, and I agree with you that if you're an exceptional player at the game, then you don't have solid proof like a VOD it's kind of hard to get out of that hole, which is just really annoying.

Yeah this is a cool idea, I think I asked them about it at one point and it was a mixed response, because I don't think we'd really want to see Peter Griffins running around the arena lol but maybe suttle things for sure sounds cool!

I think something changed with SBMM because my gaming experience went from being competitive and fun with games varying in difficulty to a party of pro players where I can't kill anyone and everyone seems like a cheater. I've been playing on Xbox since the game came out and I honestly don't know if I'll continue playing it.

I basically never use voice, and I'm still pretty meh about text chat. I'd rather they flesh out pings and call outs, those I like.
For season 3 I wish they could do something about quitters. It doesn't need to be harsh, just a light deterrent to encourage people to keep trying. Maybe an xp bonus that you lose when you quit or something. I dunno.
But having your team fall apart after getting wiped once or losing a cashout just sucks.

Equip wheel doesn’t sound bad, I was thinking maybe allowing us to set an instant placement when hitting a bind too, like quick cast, if I want to demat below I could just hit Q, and it would demat at the quickest possible time when pulling that ability out (obviously instantly doing it would be wild without a pull out animation ahha)

100% that's why I said I didn't want it to be strict. Obviously there's limits and boundaries to over-step but simply having a bit of, what we call in the UK, "banter" isn't bad at all.

Hmmmm good question! I think that having a new class would be really difficult, like would they just make "super light" or "super heavy" lol Idk maybe you have some cool suggestions! I think some more skills being added to the game is always a positive, as long as it doesn't deviate away from what makes the game fun. VALORANT and R6 for example sometimes had those additions that I really didn't like and started to lose interest with them

Yeah it's a wierd topic, I did a full video on this before where it feels like they don't really discuss these things in the patch notes so we understand but I think the era around CB2 with some adjustments we have now like Recon out etc would be fun to at least try. I don't really mind the balancing right now, I still play pretty well with light, but I will admit to you that I don't play light ranked right now.

I haven’t played a game with wall running / bouncing but I feel I’d enjoy seeing it play out in THE FINALS, a mechanic that I’d love to get into mastering :)
As someone that soloQ'd to D3, Really don't like the idea of there being top 500 skins in the game, maybe top 1000-2000.
A lot of those are players that literally only play this game everyday, they stream the game because it's their job, they're on every single day with a 3-stack and while sure there should be a fun way to reward players, it shouldn't be at the cost of excluding skins from players who just don't have the same time to spend on a game that punishes soloQ players.
the ones who didn't reach diamond also excluded from some skins, and it's not a problem

The difference between diamond 4 and diamond 2 is like comparing bronze players to plat players, the difference between diamond 1 and top 500 is even bigger. Ottr has hit diamond soloQ almost a dozen times this season, done it as 100% throwing knife light, melee builds, he's even hit diamond soloQ in a single stream.
The difference is that anyone who has some dedication can soloQ to diamond in this game. You can be quite good at this game but top 500 demands a 3-stack and for you to grind this game for a pretty long time as there's hundreds or even thousands of other players that are also trying to reach that position.
I think when I said “top 500” it was just a general estimate, maybe once you reach Diamond, you then have a new objective based task to do such as “win X tournaments” “win 2 tournaments in a row” “win x tournaments whilst having 4 respawn coins left over as a team” I don’t know just some ideas but I do think that once matchmaking is in a better place, then rewarding the grind would be nice. However you could say that the “top 500” is pretty gatekept because it’s only squads etc? I don’t know but I know some damn good players in this game haha
@@Sjon_E you already can't have a skins from previous season if you didn't get it. It is the same restriction from having some skins, as you have mentioned in first comment. How is a special skin for TOP500 or any other TOP(something) is different?
@@subminorthreat The difference is that getting to top 500 requires a wild amount of time investment, and a consistent 3-stack, many people simply can't do because they have lives. This has nothing to do with the fact that you can't get previous skins, I accept that, I didn't play then, so sure, I can't get them, it kinda sucks but it's not like I'm playing the game only to be told "sorry you don't have 100s hours to grind away at a chance to be top 500, no skin for you"
Now if the ruby skins were always available and only unlocked with a ranked currency that you got on each win or how many rounds you've won (or something like this), sure, that would be cool.
The difference is that many players can hit diamond soloq. Hitting top 500 is like going from little league to the world series.

Why would anyone wanna use voice chat they don’t even use voice coms in game, so now we gotta deal with a game with iffy aim assist on certain consoles and now we gotta deal with people having to sit in a corner to text out what the feel, when talking is spray quicker, no fps game should have text to talk, NOONE is asking for this , just ad quick chat using in game voice, go here, enemy there, follow me etc.

Personally, I would like to see some of the temporary game modes like this no respond/heal mechanic staying in the game. But the finals has taken me away from wanting to play siege as well as Fortnite 100%.
Yeah for sure they bring this mode back, it was just an initial test first before rolling out a "finished/adjusted" version, I'm hoping this in ranked too honestly.
