Those who don't accept this, have to accept losing to either Trump or Biden, and giving the next largest party a long shot chance. If they don't replace Biden for the election with someone within the ballpark of Jon Stewart, I'm voting Libertarian, as much as I used to make fun of their policies.

Why do we have to save democracy every 4 years? Why can't democracy save me for once.
We need better practices. We need nonpartisan caucuses which vet candidates based on grifters, corporate bought politicians and those who lack ethical policy. I wish, we could have a whole country which could automatically do this on their own, and push someone else past Biden, but we don't have that. We need ranked choice voting, in a way, that one vote is one vote, and a second choice doesn't get diluted by however they choose to be 1/2 or 1/4 a vote. Second choice needs to be if first candidate loses.
We need ranked choice voting in primaries, and run offs for general elections. Or a pre general election, where the general election has only 2 candidates and NOTA none of the above.

Kamala, although a bit of a socially awkward goofball, is also a very competent woman at the same time. Michelle Obama has made it clear she doesn't want the job so that case is closed. Kamala can do the POTUS job but will have some painful speeches and interactions perhaps worse that Joe Biden's old foot in mouth moments. She's the best option for replacing Biden and can easily get his campaign funding. What's untested is how she would do in a debate against Trump. Hillary Clinton is DOA. Others who are being proposed as a Joe replacement should just be vetted to see if they'll take the VP post and back her up.

No one is mentioning Martin O'Malley, the two-time governor of Maryland. He's likable, had a good record of getting to the root of problems that voters were concerned about, and is currently working to make Social Security more efficient and user friendly.

The problem with that is there's just not enough time to set up a whole election apparatus. You'd be starting from scratch with four months to go. If Kamala is the choice she can continue using the Biden-Harris apparatus including the $300 million the campaign is sitting on. That money can't just be transferred to whoever the new candidate is, and starting fundraising now would be a disaster especially when you're going up against a fundraising machine in Trump.
