Oh my goodness Nicola! Never feel you shouldn’t share bits of your life w us! Remember of course we love the stitching information and inspiration and seeing all the lovely things …. But for so many of us who don’t have loads of stitchy friends nearby , sitting down w you via Flosstube is like having you there at the dinning room table With us and we are just chatting! It just feels normal! Loved hearing about your experience laying flowers and the trip back towards home. One of my favorite things on a trip to the UK was a stay at a lovely country Inn/house. The food was delightful the setting idyllic so of course that’s what I am picturing as you describe it.. also than you so much Hands Across The Sea for the free chart commemorating the Queen and the new king. It was all so well done. Solemn yet celebratory and so breathtakingly beautiful. A calm feeling came over me and I felt that Queen Elizabeth was definitely there in spirit. I've been an anglophile since long before I knew the word. I've visited your beautiful country twice and look forward to doing so again. I know you are proud of your country and well you should be. I am so very proud for you!

I noticed at Attic Needleworks and at Sue’s Etsy shop you couldn’t get the magnet for the Natty pins shipped overseas. Do you know if that is the postal rules as I have a needleminder I’m wanting to post to a friend in London? I truly enjoyed seeing all your gifts, fripperies, sparklies and linens. I also loved hearing your personal travels and about the Queen❤. I’ll be getting up early to watch the funeral tomorrow morning.😢
After you talked so much about Minnie Mcbean’s fripperies, when I woke up the other day (in Texas) I was pleased to see that some things were left in the shop from her posting and I was able to snag a few items! Super excited to receive them. I hope your doggie’s eye gets better. My late dog didn’t have eye problems but she shook herself into two ear hematomas that turned out to be a bloody, painful mess for her. So I do sympathize.

Although I am American, I can see very easily the impact she had on my life. Never a Christmas went by without The Queens speech, all newscasts were watched when she appeared, and every magazine read. It’s very much like losing my Grandmother all over again, she has always been there. I do think King Charles lll will do a wonderful job, he has had the very best of teachers. I am very sorry for your and all of Britain’s loss.

We travelled 1 1/2 hours each way to a Veterinary Opthamologist. Such an amazing Specialty. ❤️
