How many times did Azir get nerfed in a row? First it was like the E got the shield taken off, then the knockup got reduced, then knockup was removed, the ult got a soldier removed, the speed buff through ult was removed for all allies, soldiers got an early game nerf. It was like 4-6 patches in a row of continuous Azir nerfs. Maybe a break between one or two but damn. He really didn't need to get gutted. He was fine with the E knockup imo even if it made him a noob trap/all in machine.
(EDIT: Then the ult couldn't reach behind Azir as far as it used to but I think that got put back in, as well as the amount of soldiers Azir could have out at once was reduced but that was 'overturned' from what I remember)
Remember he had 2 passives? He used to get att speed as his ap grew...
(Or get ap with att speed, not sure)
BEST LEE SIN LAN yea yea ap gave him attack speed. I think they just gave that to his towers tho. The more AP you have, the more damage the towers do

Oh, yes, this was it, I really miss that passive, I dont know if we can even call a passive what he has now(Its literally an active)
And his W at turret get removed, his soldiers got nerfed AGAIN, his Wall time got reduced extremely
Y is dis in my recommended after 4 years
almost in every pro game until he got nerfed so hard

But yeah, the nerfs really hit him hard and made him more of a supporty control mage since they took away lots of his damage making him focus on perfect insecs and perfect because then your team can do damage you don't have until level 18 and your wall only lasts 3 seconds.

azir is weaker now but he is still op if you know how to play him. Ive been spamming him in plat 2 84% win rate. Im an azir main. After you get nashors and rylais you can basically own every team fight. azir's sieging and defence potential is op as fk cuz you can chunk out anyone even tanks with void
I'm actually pissed that so many people are blaming nerfs on why they can't play him but in reality maybe you're just not good at him? like honestly, he's still doing a shit ton of dmg in my games, still making massive plays and his early game is fuckin insane if you don't waste all your fuckin mana in one go like seriously if you were good at him you wouldn't complain about the nerfs.
The nerfs were enough to make it so for him to really do anything he would have to snowball and outplay on every single kill wich becomes so unpractical it's almost not worth playing. He still had good dps it's just that so many champions did his job better than him and when assassin metas are around it means you have to deal with zed, wich if I'm not wrong is azirs worst lane matchup.
TLDR: too many champs did his job better than him.
They show bjergsen doing the redmercy trick but dont show where he gives credit rip
