I think in all all fairness, Kevin is most likely the best chef this season. He's absolutely head chef material. But the constant losing his team had and the already successful career he has back home, I think he just lost motivation this season and almost wanted to go home.
I found his self appreciation annoying after a while. He could talk the talk but they made him walk the walk way before the end. Mia gave notice here that she was a force to be reckoned with... the blue team totally underestimated the red.
Honestly, those people bullied him because they still remember him as one of the assholes from Season 8 along with Russell. But, Trev is honestly way mature here in this season and he handled those bullies well.
I died of laughter in "Hell's Raiders", Episode 3 when Jen was kicked out mid-service. Though, it is a pitty that Jen was not given such treatment back in Season 4, the one that everyone in my family loved to hate.

Tbf, Kevin lacked motivation in this season due to already finding huge success since S6 ended. I think the man has every right to brag after making it to the final 2 with two injured feet
Kevins lackluster performance later in this season is still sad to me. He has all the potential and skill but he got in his own head too much and that costed him.
Had Kevin cooked and been inspired to the best of his abilities, i believe he would've smokes anyone infront of him. He is an exceptional chef and a leader, but he didn't care.

Not even middle of the pack, Kevin just barely managed to leave after Jen and Scott, that is embarrassing enough for a successful man who didn't need HK anymore. He's not the only one, like Motto kept getting knocked down whenever his undeserved arrogance was on full display, or how T exited quickly because Meghan wasn't there to carry the team and Heather wasn't willing to be her punching bag the way other S14 red team members were. And of course the less said about Scott and Jen the better.
@2:05 as Bret serves a soup made with CANNED tomatoes in a SOUP challenge! Like two challenges later. At least Jen did not get a one star across the board!
And to think that Jen’s rice salad from her original season may behave been better than her “Ragged A**” Pork Chop. Well, every season has to have their Total Letdowns, like Robyn’s “Salty Skin Salmon” from last season.
Actually, she was cooking crab risotto back on her season 4 but her rice is raw. Also, she was working at Garde Manger at that time and they work on cold food station mostly on desserts.

i can't deal with the "veterans" kissing each other's asses and acting all high and mighty this season. especially when they keep messing up dishes despite all their eXpErIenCe under ramsay.
