Those expandable batons are so useful! I have a bunch that are spring loaded. Honestly I was hoping you found a way to make the whole fuel unit self contained, but seeing from Instagram that you built this in about a day or so, it's still very impressive. The plasma CNC makes the metal work look so neat and clean, I need to get something like that in my shop!
Inwas hoping for the canisters that you could pop in the handle that charged the flame... also the dripping flame like phosphorus would’ve been awesome
Fun fact: In the book series Hiccup is an INCREDIBLE sword fighter. Like, he won the highest status you can get as a sword fighter in-universe at thirteen years old and has regularly beaten grown adults twice his size - often literally. Of course, his first few fights don’t go so well (in fact, the first one helped Snotlout with an assassination attempt on him) but he quickly learns. In fact, it’s the only thing on the pirate training program (he’s training to be a Viking) he’s actually good at.
@@Dinosaursof Actually, the handle is large enough that they could probably have put 2 small canisters of fuel in it if they tried. Making the sword completely self contained. And it would still last long enough for a fight or maybe several. It also wouldn't be difficult to carry a few canisters with you. As an added bonus, it would be possible to turn this into a sharp sword, although is would be a bit heavier. edit: It won't be collapsible if you make it sharp.

as a hardcore httyd fan I instantly clicked on this build. Some fan critique though: Hiccup's Inferno uses Monstrous Nightmare Gel which is a propane gel, so the build isn't that off with it's flame fuel. This gel coats the blade, kind of like a lubricant. All it takes is a spark, and the blade is ignited. The other end sprays a mixture of Ammonium Nitrate and Anhydrous Hydrazine (Zippleback Gas), which is explodes with a large green fog of smoke. The fuel for both ends are stored in small, film canister sized containers that Hiccup stores on his boot. These canisters can be inserted and rejected with a press of a button. There are also two lighters on each end of the blade that sets fire to each compound. Overall I really enjoyed seeing this video, and I really hope to see some more builds like this. *oh crap I went into too much detail hAHAha*
