I think Birdman (2014) can be considered a great use of eye trace, mainly due to how a shot is seemingly continuous throughout the film, allowing for the full control of the direction.
All the movies that use (direct the eye) are great, and awesome. Stunning vision Studiobinder so thanks for this video very much. Plz keep doing videos forever and ever...(the Shining)
Great video, explaining film techniques : eye tracing character are very important for audience especially the main protagonist or antagonist... Btw 👍👍congrats StudioBinder for hitting 133000 subscribers
i think the detail is also need to be consider in thia subject. when there is too much detail on the background for example, it could drive the audience to look at it. and that's happen in makoto shinkai films, Kotonoha no Niwa, the backgrouns so detail same as the character coloring style, so both of those aspect just blending and doesn't give the audience a direction to see.
Hear it from me... This channel Wil reach millions of subscribers. Best film making content I have watched in TH-cam so far. Thank you for sharing the knowledge

Motion (of the camera or actors/materials), Position ( where the actors are looking at) and Colour (to draw the viewers eyes) - Eye Trace. Eye trace - when a Director intentionally draws the viewer's eyes to a portion of the frame. They direct their eyes. How they go about this is what gives them their unique style. The best directors don't leave anything to chance as they use cinematic techniques to draw your eyes to portions of the frame and place important information there, so the viewers see exactly what the director wants them to see. It is one of the most important lessons a filmmaker can learn.
Thank you for this.. I thought eye trace was when a character turns to look at certain person in a group and the camera cuts that... Is there any name for this kind of cut?
The Eye Trace - intentionally drawing viewer's eyes to portion of frame. Director in charge of directing viewer's eyes. Style comes from how they direct viewer's eye. 1:04 Three main methods to direct eyes of viewer: motion, positioning, color 2:01 Motion (camera movement, props, actors) 2:42 Positioning (where subjects are placed in established view) 3:32: Color (how contrasts can draw the eye) Use these methods to highlight the shot's focus. (2:56 different kinds of shot categories)
What about composition? it can be said that is position but is not. Secondary elements could lead the eye by it's direction, like tree branches or perspective lines, etc.

One of the simplest techniques, yet one of the most powerful.
Definitely. Eye-trace is simple, but extremely effective when you're guiding the eyes of a viewer across a frame. Glad you found it valuable!

Mad Max: Fury Road is the Holy Grail of eye trace
Thx.
very good, but in fact, there are a lot more points, like Contrast, emotions, etc............. its rly up to a scene^^
The storyboard feel free to use?

Need idea..😍😍
What is the film at 5:13? Thx
Why old films habe such a gentle and smooth-calm image-language? Modern videos and TH-cam I find very annoying.
You guys are fucking legends, I thank you so much for what you do.

nice
Thanks for the comment.
I first I thought the narrator said "Shitler's list" in my mind I'm like
"did Spielberg make a comedy making fun of hitler? Lol"
Thank you #krutikaanimationstudio
king
Does anyone know who the narrator is?
