I can't beging to tell you how much your uploads are helping me. I'm probably the brokest indie filmmaker on the face of the Earth, but your lessons have shown me that even with a limited budget, you can get great results by adhering to the basics of filmmaking. Thanks for all that you do. Subscribed.
thank you so much for this work.....am an independent film maker and writer I started with with writing but NO idea about filming , courses like this have given me hope ....as I try imbed film making with my career as a teacher for chemistry and physics here in UGANDA....GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
Thanks! I'm making my first film very soon that's going to be part of a trilogy. I never even considered going to film school because I'm making films purely for the passion and art of it. Making them with influences of my own in the styles of films I like. While film schools demand that you abide by their standards. With their main intention being the success, recognition and making statements. Which I don't care about any of that. The type of films I love would be laughed at by film schools. This way I can learn what I need in order to improve my own vision without being told what to do or what to like.
Pay attention to classical movies, like "12 angry men". Or for example some Ingmar Bergman works, especially tv version of "Fanny and Alexander" - certain moments felt like a dance of different layers upon layers upon layers, actors was like a theatrical curtain that unraveled next key element after another.
Sincerely speaking I can't really explain you are too much ❤❤❤ already Getting my script ready hoping to make it a film when i am financially stable keep making my dream 😊❤
wow this gets recommended to me while I’m actually on set working on a new short film that will soon be a feature film 😮 DEFINITELY WATCHING THIS TONIGHT
Please make a video about focus pulling there are so many film making channels in TH-cam but no one don't tell about this precisely. However this is one of the most important aspects of film making.Anyway I like your videos your videos your videos are detailed and easy to understand love from India
We’re happy you’re enjoying our tutorials. We have an entire tutorial on focus pulling and focusing techniques in the paid course at FilmSkills. You can view this lesson in our subscription, the Camera and Lens Master Course, or FilmSkills Unlimited.
Actually, we didn’t. One of my colleagues, Bob Trim, produced an entire course on FilmSkills for DIT and color grading in da Vinci. You can see it in the FilmSkills course catalog.

This is 10 times better than going to filmschool
That's why I developed it - to help filmmakers learn from the best in the industry without having to go to film school!
@@FilmSkills wish I knew about it before I went to filmschool 😅
@kąlsjzj I worked as an assistant on 2 seasons of a local tv series, but no particular notable work
@@MarkFilipAnthony congratulations frnd, if you are taking initiative then that is notable enough. Oneday you will be successful👍

8:24 is that Jim Halbert in the background?
wow 1080p!
I enjoyed this a lot. Very helpful as a director and indie filmmaker. Thank you!
Very nice....just curious that you have omitted DI or Col-or correction...like it’s not mentioned in your brochure...

@@FilmSkills ok thanks
superb!
Thanks a lot!
Educative
Nice
Awesome
Cool
I need more educative rehearsal movies so I can learn how to direct
I’ve directed 11 short films and one commercial. I never did anything these people are talking about
Maybe that's why neither you or your "films" show up when I google you.
