From my first favorite to my newest favorite, the Petzl Tikka Headlamp is built to impress and be simple. It just works was what I always used, and hope to continue to say about it into the future. Great job Petzl!

A review with no nightime beam test ? Maybe if you cut the intro down by 90% and didn't discuss color option of light bodies you might have room to fit that in

Do they still have an integrated emergency whistle? All previous versions had one (maybe not that very old one, but the last 2 editions did).
Yes that emergency whistle is still on the strap!
this appears to be an older tikka model, the newer one (sold in 2024) has a different battery compartment
I had the tikka xp 2 with the slider that slid up over the light to turn it to a flood light. I just lost it for good and am having trouble finding a new light that has all the same functions, fits the handle bar accessory and as user friendly.
My tikka is red and won’t go back to normal.
i just wish there was a headlamp with the low settings on a separate button so you dont have to blind anyone cycling through the 1000 lumen and strobe functions...
Exactly. This button is terrible! It works like 80 percent of the time, it's a bad design. The Black Diamond headlights are even worse! Especially the dimming function is unusable. Why don't they keep it simple? On and off, maybe a separate function-button, but please no fancy useless functions. This is rubbish!

Did I just watch a headlights review where none of them were even turned on? Really?
I got the new Tikka model and I think it is crap, it is supposed to put out 300 lumens on the brightest setting. My mate has a Ridge Monkey VRH300 that puts out 200 lumens max and the bloody thing is brighter than the Tikka. So lumens must be another word for bollocks.
Wasted 3.5 minutes of my time hearing the crap story before I get the information I need for this Headlamp. Left the video at 3:50. Bye!
