- It has taken much longer than expected to post this latest update. Additions include traffic control lights as well as the building, programming and installation of electronic platform destination boards and construction of a central railway station modelled on the Sydney Central Station building.
Below are some technical details:
Model Scale: HO
Train system control: DCC
Train automation software: TrainController
Moving vehicles: Faller Car System
Cyclists & yacht: Magnorail
Building Lights: LED bulbs and SMD LEDs
Bar and Grill Sign: NeoPixels (providing rainbow colour cycle effect)
Shop Front Lights: Miller Engineering
Room lights controllers: Over 10 Arduino Uno microprocessors
Sound Effects 4 Arduino Uno microprocessors each with mini MP3 player play sounds for lake, church chimes, hotel music, platform announcements
Drive-In controller: Raspberry Pi (Buster with Kodi) microcomputer
Drive-In Voice Activation: Software based on GassistPi by Shivasiddharth
Platform screens: 3D printed screen cases with screens controlled by 4 Arduino Nano microprocessors linked to an Arduino reading DCC signals from TrainController
Train traffic signals: 3D printed posts with LEDs controlled by 8 Arduino Uno microprocessors reading DCC signals from TrainController
Central Station Construction: Scratch-built, laser cut styrene and 3mm MDF, 3D printed balustrades
Central Station Effects: Lighting controlled by 6 Arduino microprocessors, one of which also generates the clock chimes. A NodeMCU microprocessor connects to the home WiFi to connect to the internet (NTP server) to access internet time in order to set the correct time for the chimes.
Videoing details:
Overhead view: WiFi security camera
Scenery views: Smartphone & other cameras
Cab view: DJI Osmo Pocket camera

Well done
Good job Brian! There are a lot pieces of this layout that I like. Well done.
Great Brian,
The additional animation and multiple train and transport animation is most impressive.
Wonderful modelrailway,very good animations!
Pretty neat stuff. Thanks for posting.
Very entertaining video Brian. You must have had fun making it! Nice to see all the animations coming together. - Clyde MagnorailOz
Who makes the bicycles. This is superb
Some technical details are noted in the description above, including a note about the bicycles and yacht being sourced from Magnorail. Thay have dealerships in different countries so you will need to check on the web to find your nearest dealer.
The poor DHL driver. Haha!
Very good beutiful.
What did you use for your water?
I used blue plastic sheeting, similar to www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003255865248.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.49.44011ee2CS1wR6&algo_pvid=4c9094ed-82e5-4088-b872-992f9da75770&algo_exp_id=4c9094ed-82e5-4088-b872-992f9da75770-24&pdp_npi=3%40dis%21AUD%216.7%215.02%21%21%21%21%21%4021021d7b16838423275287345d0786%2112000024877143783%21sea%21AU%21230838409&curPageLogUid=9xuY2PQ2uoSh
You have gone to so much trouble, so why are your vehicles on the wrong side of the road?
They must be just about the smallest e-bikes ever, eh? GREAT. The only detail lacking is any drivers in the cabs, or passengers in coaches. ( retired BR train disgruntled train driver).

Good pickup. The vehicles are from the Faller Car System range and so are designed for European driving i.e. on the right side of the road. Since I use their bus with doors on the right side of the vehicles, I thought that it would be a little silly if it stopped in the bus stop with the doors facing the road rather than the kerbside.
