@IndieDeve -> For 1996 standards, the graphics were off the hook. I first saw Sega's Wave Runner (Model 2), along with Namco's Aqua Jet (Super System 22) and Konami's Wave Shark (a.k.a Jet Wave) when I bought my GamePro magazine back in December of 1996. I was truly hyped by this idea of jet-skiing games, I lost my mind to them. From the moment I saw them, those games infatuated me. And back then I never thought that the water looked like asphalt, not for a moment. When I saw Wave Race on N64 back in 1997, it looked good, but I've already had grown a soft spot for Namco Aqua Jet and Sega's Wave Runner. Never got to experience either of them though, since my local arcaded were quite limited as what kind of cabinets they could feature. Those were the times of the '90s...
Can you play this arcade game that was about shoot monster and fishes in the sea , in the gamebyou had to swim in diferents scenarios , i dont remenber the name :(
If you go off a jump and, while airborne, repeatedly rotate the handlebars left and right really fast, your guy will shake his ass side to side. My dad and I thought it was funny.
While Wave Race has the better gameplay. Wave Runner has better graphics. That being said I do think AM1 Games feel less refined than AM2 or AM3 Games.
Its so obvious how the ai slows down at the end of the lap to let you win 😂 At Sega Touring Car Championship they did have no mercy. And you got more for your money than this thing
Great memories of an amazing period in my childhood.
I remember playing this game at Chuck E. Cheese when I was little.
Same
I agree with your motion. Good times.
I only played this game a couple times at Chuck E Cheeses. But I mostly played SCUD Race there.
Bro I thought I was tripping. I recently got wave race 64 after years and I kept feeling like I played wave in a arcade years ago
Yes
Core memory unlocked!!!!! How I miss this game at magic johnson theatre back in the 90s!!!
It feels like I am at the arcade playing games
Wave Runner

In fact, a Taiwanese TV show actually use this arcade as a challenge to their guest.
chuck e. cheese in 2003 what a memory
I miss playing this game in the late 90’s/early 00’s at my local Chi lie cheese, I’m pretty sure the best I got was 3rd place lol
This was my JAM growing up!
This and the old Jurassic Park were tied for my most favorite games at Chuck E. Cheese
0:46 - what waves? Looks sheet metal flat to me.
Well, the ramps DO say "Wave" on them.
This almost made me cry I haven’t seen this since I was 6 years old
The graphics are very good however the water is straight like asphalt.
It seems technology superior to n64 but the Wave Racer water is far superior.

Wow! Nick! What a nice game than you ever seen this game
What did you download to emulate this game? Game files?
You would need the Model 2 emulator to play it, and the game is called waverunr.zip. I can't directly link you to it.
he made the imposible to posible, he can get in 1st in EXPERT MODE
I remember this game was hard as hell when I was a kid on the Sega Genesis
Cap. It never came out on the sega genesis. Not even as a bootleg. Arcade exclusive
@@HipsterBlackMetalOfficial I confused this with Wave Race and that was on the N64 my mistake both are pretty similar
I've played this at Chuck E. Cheese since I was little!

You mean Ocean Hunter? They played that before.
You don't proceed to monetize anything?
Yes?
@@arronmunroe But why not?
It should be monetized, actually.
No. Don't give him bad ideas. Video games are not about profit for play. No Josuke-kun. That's a bad Josuke-kun.
Any chance to get rid of the texture flickering?
I'm not aware of a way to do that. Unfortunately, this emulator isn't still being worked on.
@@arronmunroe Yes, I know.. A pitty..
How on Earth did you get this running? Mame throws a fit when I try.
This was played with the Model 2 emulator, not MAME.
@@arronmunroe are you using an arcade machine or an emulator

If you hit the start and select buttons on the arcade version while going over a jump the helmet gets huge, like size of the jetski.
完璧ナノジャ😊
This should have gotten a Saturn port
One player only
Good luck :)
tinha no barrashopping o fliper desse jogo era legal demais jogar no jet ski
Looks amazing! What emulator did you use to even get this to play? I WANT TO TRY IT!😮😯😲😦😧🥺😢😭
This is playable with the Model 2 emulator.

Nah, this was superior to Wave Race 64 in every way.... Wave Race: Blue Storm however
@@deckofcards87sorry not true. This seemed stiff compared to wave race 64. Wave race 64 had way more fluridity.
@@Aqua.man045 Yeah, more fluidity at a definitely fluid 15-20 frames per second

Have you tried out Waverunner GP yet?
Nope, but maybe someday.
I played through Wave Runner GP.

What Emulator do you use?
Edit: I used the Sega Model 2 emulator. Thought this comment was for the other game at first.
Are you playing on an arcade machine or an emulator
It's on an emulator.
I didn't know raveracer had a arcade version too 🤔
WaveRunner (Sega) and Wave Race (Nintendo) are two completely different games. 🙂

Maybe give us STADIUM CROSS?
Definitely when I get a chance to do 2 player, although that won't be for about another month. Not sure about doing 1p, though.
I played Stadium Cross.
Time is up
Hey when you upload Jurassic park arcade you lie
Check my response to you on my Magic Sword video again.
He did 2 years ago.
He means the newer Raw Thrills arcade game, but I've already told him multiple times that the new one isn't playable on PC yet.
