Another Irish case to cover please 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️ Her family are always looking for awareness to be spread she was murdered before social media was huge.. Emer O Loughlin is her name. She was from Co. Clare Her murderer is still at large somewhere.
This happened not far from where I live, the whole country was horrified by this case. It’s honestly so shocking and sad. Every time I drive past the area it happened I think about Ana. RIP sweet girl.
@@Sadbhnailart honestly thought you were my cousin when I saw your name and that you were from Leixlip 😅. It’s such an incredibly sad, heavy case and a lot of the facts I didn’t know. Eleanor covers it extremely well and respectfully but it’s still hard to hear. Poor Ana.
@@14manson88 I’m from the same village, nearly everyone from here knows who they are. However I am not stupid enough to publicly share their names and end up in court like the people who weren’t smart enough. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to name & shame them, I’m hopeful that once they’re 18 they’ll be named
@@GLMG43 I’m nearly finished watching and I’ll agree she did an amazing job. One thing I noticed her saying was that this happened in March 2018, it actually happened in May 2018. She got the dates right just the month wrong, just incase people read further articles and get confused
I can't imagine how guilty Ana's father must feel. Even though he didn't do anything wrong at all, the fact that Ana's mum's brain immediately clicked with suspicion, whilst his didn't, must be a very hard thing to live with. I hope Ana's family will find peace
It's so sad. He just wanted his daughter to have a fun day. He was probably glad she was socializing. I wish I could give them both of her parents a huge hug.
The only good thing that came of it was one of the boys actually getting jumped and beaten by other inmates when he turned fifteen HAHA Their identities were actually released for a while before twitter and facebook took them all down. I'm actually a bit suspicious on why they're trying so hard to protect a rapist and murderer's identities? They must be directly related to someone in a higher position of law enforcement because it otherwise doesn't make any sense to protect them after such a repulsive crime.
@@meep_murp8758 no, ireland's justice system is just shit is all. apparently most people in the surrounding area of the crime know their identities, so I'd say it's only a matter of time before it becomes public knowledge through gossip and whatnot. or at least I would hope so, those scumbags don't deserve anonymity for what they did.
I am being humble when I am telling you that I am the most powerful strongest coolest smartest most famous greatest funniest Y*uTub3r of all time! That's the reason I have multiple girlfriends and I show them off all the time! Bye bye la
Growing up undiagnosed autistic and being adopted, a lot of Ana's experiences at school hit close to home. I wish she could've found a solid friend or friends and felt supported and happy. RIP, Ana. :(
@@havenmae34 Me too. I am autistic, diagnosed in adulthood. I feel a strong suspicion that Ana was autistic. This one was hard to listen to because so many of her traits and experiences hit home :( utterly heartbreaking.
oh, absolutely for me too. I haven't felt so soft hearted on a personal level about a case in awhile :( this poor girl deserves better than what she got..
I’m autistic and they way she just described her so desperately wanting friends but just being unable to figure out how to make them, it just sounded like me. It hit close to home.
Ana’s experience is common among undiagnosed female autistics. I relate to every bit of her high school life. I wish I could’ve been a friend to her. 😞
As an Irish person, this case hits home. I don't think the boys deserve anonymity. If they're able to commit such heinous acts, they should be able to endure being recognised for it. Like the case with poor James Bolger.
I'm from Australia and the James Bulger case destroyed me. I actually had a two year old son at the time of his murder and every time I looked at my son's beautiful, innocent little face, all I could see was James and the thoughts of what had been done to him. It haunted me. I cried every day for weeks. Those two boys were monsters disguised as children. The boys involved in this case are just as evil imo.
Yeah, it's almost equivalent to getting away. Ana unfairly lost her life and she'll never get it back but these boys will when they're released and they can live as normal. All because they were 'kids'. They deserve to be named and shamed forever, unable to get a job when they're released. They did adult crimes so they must suffer as adults. They knew what they were doing.
This was seriously shocking over here, no one could believe such ordinary kids from ordinary families could do such a thing . Always felt they should have been named. RIP beautiful ana
I'm Irish too so familiar with this case, but what possible good could come from naming them. I'm not from Kildare, but a lot of people do know their names but won't post them. One woman did post their names on facebook and was charged by the gardai and rightly so.
If their old enough to do such a horrific thing they should be old enough to reap the consequences and anonymity should have been waved, poor ana didn’t have any privacy. I feel for all the parents.
One of the young fella’ s was mad in the head the other guy was dragged into it. I don’t know these Boys I live nearby but you don’t get two head cases in any one area and the same age. One had a murder kit and got the other to knock in etc God love ana bless her ☘️✌️
14 is too young. I hope Ana and her family have found peace. I'm only 5 minutes in but I completely empathise with Ana about her mental health. She seemed so sweet and deserved so much better. She never deserved to be bullied or treated nastily for being different. Thank you for sharing her story Eleanor
@Alice Rivierre When you think of that, if she was a bit more fit, it isn't difficult for her to overpower 2 13 yr old boys, who were never known to be very strong.
Being different should be celebrated!!! When I was in high school I was jealous of those people bc they were confident and brave & I was lame & a follower & just wanted to fit in. 😆 sad but true. & I honestly think that’s why people bully them Bc they’re jealous. Bullying comes from insecurities. If I could go back in time I would embrace it!! I do think “being different” is more accepted these days but we still gotta long ways to go. Idk why the word different somehow always has a negative connotation (I think that’s the right word lol) but it shouldn’t!!
I remember seeing Ana walking home from school everyday when I was going to work, she was always alone with her headphones on, often with her head down, but she would smile at you if she saw you, I didn’t know her well but she seemed like a really kind hearted person. Reading about her after she died she reminded me so much of myself growing up, and finding out she was bullied by my neighbours, by friends little siblings, I felt so sick, not only boy A and B but many many young boys and girls who made her life so hard, I wish I had known, or anyone had known and done something for her, in the end she just wanted acceptance and they used that against her. All love to her and her family ❤
I have to just say if you murder someone, no matter how young you might be, you should never be protected. You shouldn’t be allowed to walk free amongst others and get a new identity and live life when you took the life of another.
IMO If they are going to be released, we NEED to know who they are for public safety reasons. Plus it’s justice - anyone who commits a murder and is ACTUALLY released back into our society SHOULD walk around with that attached to them.
Welcome to Ireland’s justice system, I’m just glad most people seen them/heard their names before the courts started going for them too. People need to be vigilant because when boy A gets out I honestly believe he’ll do it again
She seems like she was such a lovely girl, its a shame she was so misunderstood in school and people took advantage of her. Its so sad she couldnt grow up
We have a case right now in the US that the killer was 14 and his victim was 13. Aiden Fucci's been named and shamed for stabbing Tristyn Bailey 114 times, he is also facing being charged as an adult. I believe that if you commit murder no matter your age you need to exposed as the monster you are. RIP Ana 🕯️🕊️🕯️
@Juu Vee i met aiden once at his aunties grill in early summer 2020 he was always so quiet and timid and the whole time on his phone. I met his mom there too and she was just crazy. I remember his cousin telling me he once spammed her with skull emojis about 3 months before he killed her (she told me cuz we are besties btw lol) .
I followed this case from the beginning when she was deemed as missing and was horrified about the outcome, Boy A and Boy B are currently ‘locked up’ in what we would call a holiday camp🙄 Someone who knew these boys shared their images on Facebook and she was brought to court over it and given a suspended sentence which I think is ridiculous as these boys identities should be known to the public! Poor Ana suffered and there is no justice in my opinion!
her name gets plastered everywhere but they get their idetity hidden.. well, irelands a very small country. Most of us know their names and have seen their pictures so when they get sent to adult prison, they'll be recognised.
@@sparklykitten0 yes, that's exactly it, Ireland has a law to protect minors. That doesn't mean they won't be prosecuted. In fact, the police have a warrant to search any evidence here, including phones and Your house. Once they turn 18, they will be arrested for real. The justice system in Ireland is extremely flawed in alot of ways but this isn't why.
@@VivaGlam6661 Boy A moved to an adult prison as of today, i imagine someone in there will know who he is. Id love to know who they are, once 18 they should be named for the safety of the rest of us
I live in Ireland and when Ana was first confirmed dead, it shook the whole nation. There was uproar about the killers names being hidden, especially boy A's. They are the youngest killers in irish history. I pray her family have found peace, I genuinely hope they don't blame themselves.
and you should know who they are, just like America knows Joshua Phillips and Aiden Fucci. it’s for safety. i pray if they are ever let out, their identities are released. its so unsafe to hide that
I actually got a bit of a shock when I seen this notification, this case happened where I live and I remember the fear that was around. My parents wouldn’t let me out for weeks after the death.
My daughter was relentlessly bullied at her school too. Teachers can and should be able to put a stop to the majority of it. But the sad thing is bullying doesn't magically stop once you're out of school, adults can be just as asinine too. My heart goes out to Anna and others who are basically terrorized at school, work, etc. When will haters and bullies grow up?
Yeah, I agree. Adults are the worst. I’m still bullied lol And they don’t grow up…People like that are broken and never do. They will continue to be pieces of shit forever.
I very much agree but also these bullies need to have their homes investigated becuz they are jsually in an environment at home filled with alcoholism domestic violence drug addiction abuse and neglectand they are maladjusting thru unhealthy ways. They should also be given therapy and taught coping skills.
Bad then they wondered why some of those "bullied kids" end up getting a gun, walking into a school and shorting at random... everyone can snap especially when there is no help and no one to reach out. As long as these F****** billy will continu bullying there will be school shooting and suicide. Those bullies need to pay very grave consequences for what they do.
its even worse because as adults the victim blaming is even worse. like "oh your an adult you shouldnt let it affect you" well they shouldnt bully people.
Coming back to this after finding out Patrick passed away, with Geraldine saying he 'couldn't bear the pain of losing his little girl'. Heartbreaking. All my thoughts are with Geraldine and Ana's brother Aaron
Irish girl here and I'm really glad you covered Ana's case. Its is/was such a shocking case and still people in Ireland talk about it. I live not far from where Ana lived and was murdered. It really shook and completely outraged the whole country! Rest in peace Ana 💖💖💖 Ps her name is pronounced cree - gull
I remember this case from when it happened and don't care that Boy A was only 13. What he did to Ana was awful and he doesn't deserve anonymity. I hope he never gets out, but if he does, I really hope they lift this protection order, because the world has the right to know who is capable of being so cruel
I think that it's more to protect his parents/family. Since he's not going to be out, it's to avoid harassment or vigilante justice towards his family.
Life doesn’t mean life in Ireland . Our justice system is way too easy on these murderers. You could kill someone and be out in 17years, 12 if you behave in prison. It’s ridiculous 🙄. The families would be grand people always move in and out of that area and lots of renting going on . In 10 years there won’t be anyone left that would remember them so like I said previously. They will be living full lives by the time their 30 probably earlier and poor ana is gone forever. I just don’t see that as justice 🥺
Again, he's 13, no longer a kid, but if he's 6 and she's 13, I think some people might make an exception, as it would be on her if she got murdered by a 6 year old.
@@1mol831 excuse me???? "It would be on her"? Take your hypothetical victim blaming out of my commet please. Also 6 or 13, if you can kill, you can suffer the consequences.
Ana sounds so freaking cool. She was just near a bunch of kids who were so insecure within themselves that they had to lash out at someone who was different.
Being from Latvia I struggle to understand why 5 ft 8 at 14 is a big deal. That's how tall I am and I'm been so tall since I was a teenager. It's an average height in Latvia for a woman. So disgusting that Ana had to suffer just because she was taller than others. Rest in piece Ana.
I’m Irish and 5’7 and was one of the tallest girls in my school, Irish girls especially as teens are pretty short and loveeee to pick on taller girls in my experience
As a socially awkward person who got picked on and taken advantage of because of it, this case resonates with me. Ana sounds like a wonderful girl who just needed friends who cared.
I’m sorry you experienced that - you’re not alone. I was bullied relentlessly most of my school days - it (and some other factors) nearly drove me to suicide. I’m in a good place now and happy to be here - hope you are doing well too
I was shocked at how it felt like a retelling of my early life. And it certainly could have gone this way if my desperation for pleasant relations with my classmates hadn't instead evolved into an apathy I forced upon myself, fake it till you make it style, once the despair was getting too much, or if I happened to have unfortunately come across the right psychopath in the unluckiest circumstances. Truly sorry for your experience, this is the first eerily relatable case I've come across.
Kids aged 11-15 are vicious when it comes to bullying. Their anxiety about fitting into a group, will have them bully a kid just because the others did it too.
Very true! I was bullied pretty much my entire life and that phase was by far the most brutal. Young teens can be unspeakably cruel for no reason at all and there’s a huge bandwagon mentality, multiple people ganging up on one person just because they can
So true! This is why my kids won’t go to school. I’ll have them tutored/partly unschooled to not have them exposed to the same trauma I went through. 15 years of therapy and still not fully over it.
It’s refreshing to see parents being so dedicated to their child’s mental health. This case is so unfortunate but such a difference can be made by getting the help you really need. Both for victims and perpetrators, mental health support can entirely change someone’s life path.
So heartbreaking reading how many other women relate to Ana's experiences growing up. Something needs to change in the school system to protect from this bullying! RIP Ana, you deserved a wonderful life filled with people who treated you with love and kindness 💕
I’ve just started watching and as soon as you said 14 years old I got teary. I am a mother and my eldest is 14, I cannot even begin to imagine what Ana’s parents have gone through
I think I’m so “immune” to true crime, I can hear the most gruesome things and honestly I don’t bat an eyelash anymore. I’m only 14 minutes in and SOBBING just hearing how she couldn’t make friends. I’m not even at the intense part of the video yet. She sounded like such a wonderful young girl. It’s going to take a lot of strength for me to finish this video.
I’m so happy to see you covering Ana’s case. I randomly think of her every few weeks and my heart just breaks each time. It’s probably not an appropriate thing to say but I’ve always been so mad that Boy A and B had their identity protected. Why afford them that luxury y’know? I think I can speak for the whole country when I say we’ll never, ever forget Ana ❤️
A 100% agree with you. Why protect people that are literal monsters. Doesn't matter how old they are. If they're capable of doing such horrible things at that young age they shouldn't be able to live a normal life and get protected. It's heartbreaking and unfair. Hopefully they'll never do anything like that ever again..
Ana’s story of bullying resonates with me so much. I’m autistic, and I have a really hard time socializing and making friends. I was bullied too. She seemed so much like me and I’m pretty sure we’d be around the same age. She seems like such a wonderful and interesting person. If I would’ve had the chance, I would’ve been her friend in a heartbeat. Rest In Peace beautiful girl ❤️
Honestly I think it’s bullshit to protect their identity. Children from a small age know murder and hurting people is wrong. They should rot in jail or upon release have their remaining days be made hellish and torturous.
I was just like Ana when I was 12: awkward, bullied relentlessly and violently, with no friends, and born with a love of performing that became dampened because of anxiety. This poor, poor kid. It’s so cheesy when people say “oh I would have been her friend” but I absolutely would have been if our anxiety let us! This poor baby, my heart goes out to her and her family. She should have had the chance to grow in her confidence.
It’s not cheesy it’s compassionate and kind. There will be opportunities in life to befriend the person suffering from social anxiety or feeling awkward. I am very grateful for your instinct to move towards that instead of allowing isolation of another. You are a good person. Thank you🌻
My mother remembers the moment she was told by Ana's parents that they were adopting a young girl from abroad and how happy they seemed, I also have a friend who goes to the same school as the killers, and while walking to school one of the boys said to him that they were glad to miss school because of the case. They were known bullies in the school. Bastards
How do they go to the same school as the killers…if the killers are in jail 🤨 also this happened in 2018 so they are most definitely in jail serving out there sentences unless they are now wandering free which is a very said case that they could be anywhere and most people wouldn’t even know the horrific crime they committed also they wouldn’t be in school at their age unless they are free and in college or university
@@daeja5478 i'm assuming they mean the friends went to the same school in 2014 when it happened. however if people know who they were, i'm surprised their names or pictures didn't get out
The fact these animals get identity protection irritates me and almost everyone in Ireland i remember the outrage at this case and there’s still anger and in my own opinion rightfully this young girl had her life stolen and these 2 wastes of space get to have protection. Just like with the Jamie bulger case two monsters got to have protection? Unfair of the highest degree. Irish justice system is fucked as it is you could commit murder and be out in less than 7 yrs with good behaviour a life sentence here is 20 yrs (I think) if these two boys can commit an atrocity like this then they should’ve gone to proper prison not what I’d essentially a juvenile centre..
Her channel is a recent discovery for me and I have been binge-watching the past month like crazy. It's dangerous to start listening to her at night when I should be sleeping, I'll get hooked and stay up until 3. Incredibly well researched and presented.
Thank you so much for covering this case, it doesn’t get enough attention. Ana was treated very badly by the Irish media called a weirdo and loner but yet these two animals are protected
I was also a tall girl in primary school, and that's where me being bullied started. I can understand Ana's struggle on that side of things so well, it's so unfair she had to go through all this and worse.
@@moxiemaxie3543 wth is wrong with u to even come to that conclusion.. thats like someone saying "I love cake" and u going "oh so u hate donuts" literally shut up

I actually did my teaching practice in Ana’s school. I never taught her but will never forget the shock I got recognising her in the local paper as the girl I often saw in school corridors
God hearing about her teenage years is giving me chills, I'm literally a copy of this girl. 5'8 at 14, lack of friends affecting my entire life, zero social life or any life outside of my own home, walking with earphones and straying away from everyone else because i can't even keep a conversation going from the anxiety. Even the bullying. The suicidal thoughts. Listening to Eleanor talk about her is like hearing someone talk about me without knowing me at all.
I am so sorry for your pain, it's often hidden under the surface and many people won't realize what you're going through. I don't want to be cliché, I have dealt with similar experiences for years. Middle school was the worst of it, kids can be so cruel. I became shut off and withdrawn even from friends and family. I'm awkward. But, there's hope. There are people who love you, and want you to feel accepted. It's really hard, I know, but things will improve. The people picking on you are insecure and don't understand how their actions don't make them, "cool", but in fact make them pathetic. One day, they might understand. I hope one day, you see your strength and worth.
i was the exact same too, same height, super awkward, no friends. i just want to say things have absolutely flipped for me and i’m happier than i’ve ever been before now. breaks my heart knowing ana didn’t get that. it really does get so much better as you grow into yourself and find your people
Exactly the same here except I’m a tiny bit older than you (15). The best advice I could give was to keep your head up. Keep up with your hobbies, find things that you love, find people with similar interests! School thankfully doesn’t last forever and things will get better. Once school is done you are free to build your own life away from those people. Nobody watches you closer than the people who dislike you so make sure they know how successful you are, wether that be in happiness, hobbies or other.
Dear, I know it's difficult to go through that in those sensitive years. I wish you could find source of self love and respect, not through the eyes of other youth who still have so much to learn and to grow in all respects, but seek the value in things that matter. I know how lonely it can be, but do not give up, those who turn their back on you, they don't matter, be the best version for you, to have better future, seek knowledge, play sport, have fun, think of the better future. In few year you will regret giving the bullies any time of the day. Instead of being happy that you have food to eat, clothes to keep you warm, health, all your limbs, I hope, people seek victims to make themselves feel better by putting others down. Much love
this is so sad bc i feel like the bullying was out of pure jealousy. she was nice, tall, beautiful and talented. for some reason, being wonderful makes you entirely hated. misery loves company and it’s awful. she deserved 100 times better than she’s ever gotten.
@Devon K I feel the same way. My oldest daughter is autistic and this almost describes her perfectly. So kind, vulnerable, and misunderstood. She is so wonderful. 🥺
As a girl who knew boy a and boy b and ana this was such a shock to me hearing about this as I lived 10 minutes away from the crime scene, none of us expected this at all and thank you for speaking about this case as not a lot of people do❤️
Someone should do a massive piece of graffiti with these scumbags identities! If people took a picture of some wall art and shared it with friends they couldn't get in trouble surely?
@@kitty8831 No, really they will get in serious trouble if they share it And their names have been changed regardless so it doesnt really matter what their names were
Hearing this poor girl getting bullied for her height hits home for me. I'm pretty tall for a girl and even though I wasn't bullied for it a lot, I still felt like an outsider around everyone else who was normal and it's still a deep-set mental issue for me. I dearly wish I could've gotten to know Ana and maybe we could have helped each other understand that being a tall girl isn't anything to be ashamed of or bullied for. Rest in peace, Ana.
the happened EXTREMELY close to home for me and i’ve been commenting requesting you cover it and i’m satisfied it’s getting the recognition it deserves
Ana's school history sounds just like mine, it's a lil unnerving. By 13, I was 5'8" as well, got bullied really bad, only had 2-4 friends, was extremely awkward (still am) in social or any situations, etc. Knowing from my own personal experiences, I really wish I could hug her and give her the attention and love she deserved and needed ( this is not me saying she wasnt getting this from her parents, fyi, her parents sound amazing and did everything possible to help her)
@@pennysmarsh1865 peers being mean and disgusting in an environment where you should feel safe, is just such an experience ruiner, I couldn't even focus on school work and stuff because of it, would have more thoughts of "what will happen tomorrow? will they ever stop?" and it really hurts and affects lives for years to come. kids can be so mean for like no reason, picking on others for the most petty things such as physical traits, hobbies, clothes, material possessions, for just being antisocial, having a different type of voice, being introverted or hanging out with certain people, it's just so gross
Same here! I was 5”8 at 11/12 (thankfully haven’t grown much more since 😅), was pretty nerdy, rather open about the fact I enjoyed reading, very quiet/reserved etc which made me a very easy target for bullying. It’s definitely effected me deep into my later teenage years and shows how truly nasty children can be.
Can't believe that I have never heard of this case before. Ana was a stunning young lady, with her height could have been a model. It's jealousy that people can't allow anyone to be different & have to bully them. Poor Ana Rip xx
i was thinking the same thing when eleanor mentioned her height. she could have easily made friends with other models. you know, bond over their freakishly tall height. she had a pretty face. what a shame.
I hope her parents don't feel guilty what happened... This is so painful to listen knowing that Ana's parents love her and tried so hard to give Ana the best life they can give her
Throughout the explanation of who Ana was... I sat here wishing I could have been her friend. I had a pretty similar experience with not having friends until my mom started home schooling me. Kids are brutal. And awful. Wish Ana the best and wish someone would have helped her
They were near Highschool, they were old enough to know better. People who commit such heinous crimes, no matter age, should not have the privilege of identity protection. If you were going to commit such evil, you best be ready for everyone to know. The fact that they “weren’t old enough“ for people to know is bullshit
@@peenyyt4921 because they shouldn’t be allowed to have a normal life without any association from the murders at all. Ana can’t continue her life, why should they be allowed to live theirs as if it never happened?
I never understood the fact of being adopted. As someone who is adopted, I was bullied from elementary to middle school over being adopted. I hope Anastasia soul is resting in peace
Also not adopted and I've never thought to bully someone over it in my youth nor obviously as an adult. Very strange..I guess just anything "different" kids will attack despite the fact adoption is such a beautiful thing
I adopted my daughter and she ha@ gotten a little slack but I won't put up with it. We are very open and I am always asking her if she is ok or have questions. I'm sure she has insecurities so I pray for her a lot
I drove passed this crime scene for 3 days . We were questioned by guards when they found her body. Poor baby girl . Those boys should have been tried as adults
im irish and i remember the absolute horror everyone was in because so many people knew her, especially if u lived near the hometown. this will never be forgotten.
I gotta say I got chills when you were describing her childhood because it mirrors mine SO closely. Besides her being more quiet (I'm quite an extrovert), everything else is similar. Adopted, bullied throughout childhood, struggles with mental health, issues with selfharm, parents finding out and putting me into therapy as soon as possible, being s.a.-ed at a young age by someone older than me and that making my mental health worse, etc. I relate a LOT to her. I hope she is able to rest in peace now ❤️
I have a love hate relationship when Eleanor posts I get excited because she’s posted another video but then I feel guilty because it’s about someone’s life being taken when it shouldn’t of. :(

I'm glad people out there know the faces of these two, their photos were shared in chain messages online. I don't care about the ages they shouldn't ever get out. @@qo4914 At the time, messages with their names and faces were all over fb and WhatsApp, I know at least one woman got in serious legal trouble for sharing it.
I relate so much to Ana. Her teenage years sound a lot like my early teenage years. Even now at age 22 I’m still trying to get over that isolating feeling that comes with being the “target” in secondary school. I wish she’d got to live and have her life get so much better 💔
She was a beautiful girl! I can't comprehend how she was not one of the popular kids at school. I was picked on and bullied in school in the 70's and 80's, so I know how hard and horrible it is. It's very traumatizing and very difficult to get past. At almost 55, I still feel the pain of the torment I went through. What a sad, sad story.
I remember this being a really huge case in Ireland.. everyone was so terrified at how young the murderers were and how violent the crime was. It just shocked the entire country.. my heart breaks every time I think of this case
Thanks for covering this this case has been all over the news here in Ireland since her gruesome murder in 2018 and it's good to see it being covered on TH-cam channels such as this because i haven't seen it covered much by any of the true crime channels on TH-cam so far at least not the ones I'm subscribed so thank you very much Eleanor.
This is the first time for Me, and I watch a lot of true crime. I'll never forget Anna's case now though, I was also well over 5ft in year 5 and had a hard time, although I think kids in Australia might be a bit kinder cause I had a couple of good mates.
Eleanor as an Irish person I’ve been waiting for you to do this! The controversy this caused in our little country was unbelievable. I think I speak for all of us when I say Ana deserved so much better, justice was not totally served as far as I’m concerned. Those evil wastes of skin barely had any consequences for their actions. Disgusting
Eleanors storytelling is so brilliant its amazing, i cpuld wtach these videos for 10 hours and not get bored, also its amazing how much time she spends researching all of these, thank you eleanor.
literally teared up seeing this notif, a friend of mine was her mentor when she started secondary school and he told me about her funeral, genuinely one of most harrowing things to happen in ireland
my mum and uncle were adopted & hearing the stories they’ve told me from high school was so terrifying, no one should ever be bullied for being adopted, it’s cruel.
Nobody was bullied for being adopted, have u watched the video? And how on earth did u get told on an irish death when your american. There are millions of murder cases.
@@dumpitea have you watched the video? It literally says at the beginning she was bullied for being adopted and they told her things like “you have fake parents” and this case is literally well known of course other people who aren’t Irish will know it the person who made this video isn’t even Irish literally get a grip you weirdo
I had a neighbor who is adopted. We never bullied her and would always play with her. She didn't know that she was adopted and once her classmates were mocking her about it and called her so many bad names. She was so little and her parents wanted to wait a bit to tell her so she could understand all of it. It was horrible that she found out that way. Will always remember how that poor girl was crying her heart out just because of some stupid kids.
This case really struck me. Most of the things described about Ana were me as a child. The constant bullying, self harm, having 0 friends and just wanting one. I was beat up so much as a child but now I'm a very happy adult, with a strong friendship group and a lot self worth and confident. I just wish she had grown up and could have turned her negative experiences around and realised that she didn't need anyone to feel validated. She could have turned something that she was bullied for (her height) into a carer as a model. RIP sweet girl.
ditto. my schooling for the most part was pretty traumatic - I was relentlessly bullied throughout primary school - and often thought things wouldn’t get any better for me. I’m now 26, and have such a diverse and close knit group of friends. I refuse to engage with people who have any form of nasty streak in them. I wish Ana had the opportunity to grow up and experience life after school, as it gets so much better.
@@bethw2495 I'm sorry you had a traumatic time at school. Kids really can be so mean 😮💨 I'm glad to hear you're doing well now. Sometimes I do think that if I had never gone through all the crap I had done when I was younger, I wouldn't be as mentally strong as I am now. I just feel so sad when I hear about these things happening to kids and they don't make it out alive, whether that is because their own hands, or someone else's 😢
Me too. She deserved the chance to grow up and she that it gets better. There are still ugly people, but there are more who know everyone is not the same, and that’s ok. It’s so tragic that she never got to feel the warmth of others, or of a mature self-understanding, and finally bloom.
@@savannahelouisa Yes, the strength I gained, and getting to use what I have learned through adversity, are what make it all meaningful for me. Ana never got to come full circle. When that is taken from someone, it’s an outrage and a terrible tragedy.
The way Ana's personality is described, along with her inability to make friends and lack of social awareness, being called a "weirdo", etc, all makes me think she might have had autism? Undiagnosed autism can really make children feel like they can't connect with their peers and often makes them a target of bullying 😞
Thank you for the kindness and empathy with which you speak about Ana. Her story resonated with me so much, being bullied for looking different and not knowing how to socialise is sadly an experience way too many can relate to. It means a lot that you really saw her and the wonderful human that she surely was.
i live about 10 minutes from where this case took place. i drive past there everyday. thank you so much for covering this case. it still very much looms over us.
I seem to find many parallels like her from my childhood but there was that one time I decided to listen to the advice of certain individuals and beat someone up, which has seemed to solve many problems.
Imagine Boy A describing every detail about his attackers to the sketch artist just for the sketch artist to draw Boy A face to troll him because it was so obvious he was lying and wasting everyone's time.
Her father just died and Boy B is challenging the way he was questioned by the Gardai (police), shocking to be honest, absolutely no remorse he should never get out, he lured her to her death and had the means to call for help and he didn't, and he lied all the way
I remember this case so well, I live near to the crime scene. We barely have stories like this coming out of Ireland but it shook the nation so hard. Thank you for covering it so respectfully, RIP Ana
i just want to say thank you so much for covering this. We went to gymnastics every week (before she had to quit) and we also met up in our group of people (we were all adopted from Russia). I went to a different school nearby but these were the only times i would get to see her. Every time i drive past the house I still can't believe this has happened.
I remember my depression at 14, had a lot of family issues and childhood illness, I struggled socially with people my age and was bullied. I relate to ana so much. I'm 18 now with my own place, a boyfriend I'm head over heels for and a kitty I adore. It's heartbreaking that she never got the chance to dream and achieve in adulthood and see more to life beyond ignorant school bullies.
I was always a very shy girl and had trouble making friends, I got picked on and I know what it’s like to be made to feel an outsider/weirdo at school. I always wanted friends and to be accepted but felt no one gave me a chance. So I completely relate to Ana’s time at school. What happened to her was evil and so tragic! It breaks my heart so much! 😢
I wish Anna knew the kids picked on her because they were jealous. She was naturally gorgeous, tall and looked like a model... if only shed known before it was too late. It sounds like she might have been on the spectrum. Ive been 6'1 since i was 10. Boys would bully me for being tall but i just beat them up and they never did it again haha
As a woman who is 6’1 I call BS on the “since I was 10” part. But I agree, she was absolutely beautiful! I think if things would’ve turned out differently she could’ve become a model.
Everytime I hear a famous model or actress say she was bullied growing up I always rolled my eyes because who would bully a gorgeous girl? This case made me understand that its true and people really suck.
As an adopted person, I understand the “fake parents” feeling, while I don’t consider my adoptive parents, fake parents. I get the struggle of never fully understanding your biological family, it’s stressful at times.
Same here. Though I met my birth father and members of his family (and are fond of them) and have seen photos of my birth mother and her family, I think it made me appreciate my parents more. ❤
As soon as I saw the house the story came back to me. I was only 12 in 2018 meaning I was not much younger than ana and I’m older than her now. I remember my parents being so upset and scared especially for me at the time. Hearing about the case was truly horrifying and affected the whole country. Poor girl, I hope she’s at peace now 💗💗💗
I HAVE BEEN WAITING SOOOO LONG FOR YOU TO COVER THIS CASE!!! I live in Ireland and this case was just absolutely horrendous and so so so sad. It needs more coverage, even though it’s closed BECAUSE BOY A SHOULD NEVER BE RELEASED EVERRR
thank you so much eleanor for covering this case, as an irish woman, this case affected so many of us, but in general affected all of ireland. to think this could happen to anyone, and the fact the perpetrators were so young, it really shows anyone is capable of such terrible actions, and that's scary. this case isn't often talked about by many true crime youtubers as far as i've seen and the way you put everything into words is incredible, you talk so well and did the case justice
This case hits too close to home for me so I think I’m gonna skip to another video, but I wanted to say, I hope Ana was able to rest after all that. I hope her family is well, I hope some of the scars have started to heal over, even though they’ll never fade completely. I hope they can find joy, I hope Ana is safe wherever she is. And Eleanore, I hope you’re doing well too. You make these cases easily accessible, you give explicit warnings before you begin (I have very specific traumas so it’s helpful), you care SO much about the victims you talk about, the survivors, and families of those affected. I can't imagine how guilty Ana's father must feel. Even though he didn't do anything wrong at all, the fact that Ana's mum's brain immediately clicked with suspicion, whilst his didn't, must be a very hard thing to live with. I hope Ana's family will find peace
I was also thinking about the same thing 🥺🖤 I just hope they don't blame themselves and they find peace.
It's so sad. He just wanted his daughter to have a fun day. He was probably glad she was socializing. I wish I could give them both of her parents a huge hug.
I think it happened too quickly even if he did have a funny feeling.
The only good thing that came of it was one of the boys actually getting jumped and beaten by other inmates when he turned fifteen HAHA
Their identities were actually released for a while before twitter and facebook took them all down. I'm actually a bit suspicious on why they're trying so hard to protect a rapist and murderer's identities? They must be directly related to someone in a higher position of law enforcement because it otherwise doesn't make any sense to protect them after such a repulsive crime.
@@meep_murp8758
no, ireland's justice system is just shit is all. apparently most people in the surrounding area of the crime know their identities, so I'd say it's only a matter of time before it becomes public knowledge through gossip and whatnot. or at least I would hope so, those scumbags don't deserve anonymity for what they did.
If you murder someone, your identity should never be protected. Period, no exceptions.
no matter the age, but especially if they’re a minor.

Growing up undiagnosed autistic and being adopted, a lot of Ana's experiences at school hit close to home. I wish she could've found a solid friend or friends and felt supported and happy. RIP, Ana. :(
i almost commented that her traits sounded Similar to autistic traits
I completely agree. Ana will always be remember for her tragic death and they need to be remembered for causing it.
Same. Commit adult crimes get treated as an adult
!!! legally it’s a slippery slope but morally I completely agree
@@pawfectlygroomed5821 ''they should be old enough to reap the consequences'' they're in prison. That *is* the consequences.

She never deserved to be bullied or treated nastily for being different. Thank you for sharing her story Eleanor

@Alice Rivierre When you think of that, if she was a bit more fit, it isn't difficult for her to overpower 2 13 yr old boys, who were never known to be very strong.
Wym 14 is too young no age is at a point where one should be messed up
Being different should be celebrated!!!
@@1mol831 are you fucking serious

Exactly
couldn't agree more
The younger they are,the worst it is.
Well if they murder someone then they deserve to be hated by the media
IMO If they are going to be released, we NEED to know who they are for public safety reasons. Plus it’s justice - anyone who commits a murder and is ACTUALLY released back into our society SHOULD walk around with that attached to them.

her name gets plastered everywhere but they get their idetity hidden.. well, irelands a very small country. Most of us know their names and have seen their pictures so when they get sent to adult prison, they'll be recognised.

Oh I've ALWAYS wanted to see Ireland!!! This is truly horrible crime.
I’m still bullied lol
And they don’t grow up…People like that are broken and never do.

They're probably just jealous because they're shorties
I’m Irish and 5’7 and was one of the tallest girls in my school, Irish girls especially as teens are pretty short and loveeee to pick on taller girls in my experience

I'm sobbing i would've loved being friends with her
I was shocked at how it felt like a retelling of my early life. Truly sorry for your experience, this is the first eerily relatable case I've come across.
me too friend
Kids aged 11-15 are vicious when it comes to bullying. Their anxiety about fitting into a group, will have them bully a kid just because the others did it too.
Very true! I was bullied pretty much my entire life and that phase was by far the most brutal. Young teens can be unspeakably cruel for no reason at all and there’s a huge bandwagon mentality, multiple people ganging up on one person just because they can
So true, I was bullied relentlessly in middle school simply because I liked to read and somehow that made me some weird outcast
Big problem is if you tell someone about the bullying, it just makes everything worse, a lot worse in my case
I’ve just started watching and as soon as you said 14 years old I got teary. I am a mother and my eldest is 14, I cannot even begin to imagine what Ana’s parents have gone through

It’s probably not an appropriate thing to say but I’ve always been so mad that Boy A and B had their identity protected. Why afford them that luxury y’know?
I think I can speak for the whole country when I say we’ll never, ever forget Ana ❤️
I Honestly agree, because If they are capable of something like that, we should know about them
Definitely. They could be ANYWHERE....that is just horrifying!!
That’s the Irish justice system it’s as backwards as anything
Your opinion is that of the whole country. We are all livid that A and B are afforded the luxury of being anonymous.
Yes, me too. I was also bullied terribly, and have ASD. There are so many of us on here!
Thank you🌻
praying for all of us anxious babies

Can we just appreciate the effort Eleanor puts into these for us almost every day
fr! she's great
We do.
It’s horrendous, I’m in England, I’d never even heard of this case
Bcz of misogyny sexism
I was also a tall girl in primary school, and that's where me being bullied started. I can understand Ana's struggle on that side of things so well, it's so unfair she had to go through all this and worse.

Literally the same but I’m younger I’m 13
This is so heart-breaking. Ana sounds so much like my own daughter. Poor child. My heart goes out to her parents.

Don't name them. You will get in trouble. Someone I know is up in court over showing their photo.
Someone should do a massive piece of graffiti with these scumbags identities! If people took a picture of some wall art and shared it with friends they couldn't get in trouble surely?

Hearing this poor girl getting bullied for her height hits home for me. I'm pretty tall for a girl and even though I wasn't bullied for it a lot, I still felt like an outsider around everyone else who was normal and it's still a deep-set mental issue for me. I dearly wish I could've gotten to know Ana and maybe we could have helped each other understand that being a tall girl isn't anything to be ashamed of or bullied for. Rest in peace, Ana.
She would've had so much potential in the modeling world.

I recognised her name but don't know the case well, I was sure I'd seen it recommended though for Eleanor to cover.
Ana's school history sounds just like mine, it's a lil unnerving. By 13, I was 5'8" as well, got bullied really bad, only had 2-4 friends, was extremely awkward (still am) in social or any situations, etc. Knowing from my own personal experiences, I really wish I could hug her and give her the attention and love she deserved and needed ( this is not me saying she wasnt getting this from her parents, fyi, her parents sound amazing and did everything possible to help her)
I totally agree and understand where ur coming from aj I also got picked on a lot at school and I was awkward to it hurts when ppl are so mean
@@pennysmarsh1865 peers being mean and disgusting in an environment where you should feel safe, is just such an experience ruiner, I couldn't even focus on school work and stuff because of it, would have more thoughts of "what will happen tomorrow? will they ever stop?" and it really hurts and affects lives for years to come. kids can be so mean for like no reason, picking on others for the most petty things such as physical traits, hobbies, clothes, material possessions, for just being antisocial, having a different type of voice, being introverted or hanging out with certain people, it's just so gross
i felt this completely, i really really wish she could have had someone to understand her. kids can truly be horrible
"Only" 2 to 4 friends. 🙄 She literally had 0 friends. 2 to 4 is a very normal amount of friends to have.

The way Ana's personality is described, along with her inability to make friends and lack of social awareness, being called a "weirdo", etc, all makes me think she might have had autism? Undiagnosed autism can really make children feel like they can't connect with their peers and often makes them a target of bullying 😞
