      @@AnastasiaCheklova No it is not recommended this fix is temporary, the real problem of this model was the ventilation and it is an apple design failure that’s why they discontinued this model.

    What was that solution you applied? And what does brushing the screen with a big paint brush do?

    How much air and heat did you use and for how long?

    Reminds me of the NVIDIA reflow from the 2011 models. I have quite a few A1534 2016 units like this. Likely this only works for a few months?

    So what did you do here?
    Are we supposed to guess the compound you used, or the heat you applied?

      Re-flowing sometimes does it but not all the time this model was an Apple failure due to the ventilation problem I mean it was a design failure.

    I have MacBook 12 2016 with non-detectable SSD. When it boots up it only show an exclamation folder ! Will reflowing solve my issue ?
    Thanks in advance

      it’s a 50/50 chance bro the problem was the ventilation on the design causing a lot of issue on the logic board, a design failure by apple

      Thanks for your reply. I think it’s pointless to repair it since it’s a design problem.

      just reach melting point...be careful not to fry it.

    • @deyaq4966
      @deyaq4966 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      280 melting point but it’s depending on every working station .... also 320... I really recommend to use low heat for long time instead using high heat for short time ... as you can blow other components.... and use some heat tape to protect the other components around the cpu.... as the cpu have 0.25 mm solder balls and them blow easy

      I think it is much better than re-flowing with hot air or oven, lifespan may vary on how the loose connection fixed.

    Temporary fix, will die again soon. Problem can be in soldering joints under CPU, SSD or missing lines inside motherboard. Here is no any kind of diagnostics, fortuitous kind of fix.

    Hello. Problem with Macbook 12 2016 1.1ghz 256gb
    After the update, there was an error "it is impossible to install mac os on this computer"
    Nothing helped, I had to reinstall the system. But when installing the very first OS (el capitan), after 5 minutes it freezes and nothing even moves the mouse. And when you try to install the latest supported OS (monterey), the installation takes 10-15 minutes after the reboot and the folder with the question lights up. I took it to Apple, they did the diagnostics, they said everything is fine with the hardware, only the system needs to be installed, but after an hour they reported that there was a problem with the ssd. Himself installed the system on an external drive launched the computer. I checked my native ssd in various ways. No mistakes. But at the same time, if you try to download or transfer a file of more than 1GB to your native ssd, then the computer is cut down.
    I hope I didn’t bore you, I wanted to tell you everything in detail. Thanks)

      Brother honestly this particular model was discontinued because of ventilation problem or a design issue. we all experienced this exactly the same issue I tried everything to make it work but in the long run again the issue repeats

      @@RosmarkyTechnicalSolutions Yes. failed product. genius bar asked 550€ for a board replacement. I have a slightly different problem. if everyone does not see ssd at all when loading the system recovery utility, then I can see everything, everything shows, it is formatted and the disk passes all tests. only 68 hours drive worked

    What is the purpose reflowing the cpu? Shouldn’t you be reflowing the ssd??

    • @eea-electricityelectronics1374

      But I see in my mainboard, under CPU is the SSD, so this may help

    • @deyaq4966
      @deyaq4966 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Because the cpu is attached to the board with solder ... so when the cpu gets hot( because it doesn’t have a proper fan and the heat sink is crap ..them mini soldering balls “gets loose “ so reflowing the cpu helps the little balls getting back to their place ... so every ball make a connection with a cpu that are responsible to make the connection with entire board ... and in many case because of a missing connection cpu can’t recognise it. That model of macbook 12” is crap... most of the time reflowing the cpu doesn’t work as in many cases the ssd dies and then the cpu dies because doesn’t have a fan and the heatsink is crap . And this video more likely is a scam 😂😂 as that cannot come with Yosemite and I don’t think can run Yosemite... so probably he just connected it to a usb bootable stick .

    • @msstapleton
      @msstapleton 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea done tried to reflow both dry and wet. Also did the oven bake. This thing died so I’m gonna resell the rest since no ding and perfect working order, except the crap logic board.

    • @deyaq4966
      @deyaq4966 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@msstapleton if you can put it back together and plug it to a charger, should start... even if doesn’t recognise ssd , try to boot it in recovery mode ... and use a bootable usb with macos . Or just install the software when is on recovery mode on a empty usb ( if it’s starts make sure you change it 100% as it have only 1usbc port )
