A double steam celebration in Switzerland!

The Swiss train enthusiast club Verein Dampffreunde der Rhätischen Bahn (Friends of Rhaetian Railway Steam) celebrated its 40th anniversary with three days of charter trains on the RhB mainline. On September 16th 2017, two steam trains pulled by type G 3/4 Nr. 11 "Heidi" and G 4/5 Nr. 107 "Albula" pulled vintage carriages from Landquart to Sumvitg/Cumpadials and back. On the outward journey the two trains raced side by side, while on the return journey the trains were combined and double-headed.
