A big thank you as my roof is now working properly , i could never work out how to top up the fluid till i see this video .. i will add that i also had to replace the two orange relays as well .. But as i said it needed hydraulic fluid as well ,, so thank you again for you video
0:48 Just an FYI, the secondary plastic cover that you said you don't keep on. That is a sealing cover to protect all the electronics from moisture and any water in the event that a seal should fail letting water/moisture into the trunk compartment.
Good video though. Thank you for the info. I checked my reservoir the other day and it was just in line with the very bottom of the + symbol〔like this>±〕 which I assumed was the maximum line. So I thought no need top it up. I did notice the my roof seemed like it was closing hard and almost slamming when the front section came down to lock into the top of the windscreen frame. Thanks bud. 👍
Would you be able to do a video on the best way to clean and clear out drain holes? I have an older e93 that pools in the door due to blocked drains and i can seem to find the holes
Thanks for the video! DO you know how to make the complete hydraulic oil change? Mine has aporx 200k+ miles and some suggest complete oil change after 10years.
You’ll need to pour out all the fluid in the reservoir and refill it again then run the top a few times and repeat as much as you would like. Good luck 👍
I have question. Help needed so bad. Roof unlactaches but I get error mucroswitch lock. The right middle one . Is it possible to just replace that and If so what is the part u cannot find it anywhere without whole motor for the Roof
Instead of having to move the pump at all you could just jack the left side of the car up on some blocks. I imagine that would be enough to be able to remove the screw.
Thank you Sal! Pre preventive maintenance gang gang
@@exotickrave2596 hell yea 👊
This is a great video for all e93. Very helpful.
Thanks man! I appreciate your support always.

Sounds like a good idea 👍
Exactly what I was looking for, great video ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks! Glad to help! 😊
Great video for topping up your fluid ... but as your roof was fully closed, it is normal to have the fluid level down ... your car was not low on oil
Thanks, it is normal over time for the fluid to slowly drop. 123k miles and 14 years later it needed a small top up.
@@Sals_Garage its a sealed system. I would think there is a leak somewhere if the fluid level drops.
@@bamwa weird things can happen I seen.
Going to check my fluid as soon as I get home. Thanks, great video.
Awesome! Good luck 👍

Thanks 🎉😊. Are you sure top of + is maximum level?
Correct.

It might work, thx for the tip.
@sals do you know where is my hydraulic fluid reservoir is located on my BMW 120! Convertible??
I do not know, hope you can find it. Good luck 👍
Didnt even know my e93 needed hydraulic fluid will change soon 😂😂😅
Good choice! Those hard tops are expensive to repair.
I think using a syringe would work a bit easier
Try it out and let us know 👍
Do you know where the hydraulic reservoir located on the the 120 series??
Sorry I do not know.
Thanks for the video. 👍👍👍
Anytime! Thanks for the comment 🙏
Try adding a clear fish line hose so you don't spill that liquid you dropped more on the pump than what you filled the pump with
Good tip,
👍
Thanks bro 🙏

Thanks man! Appreciate you’re support.

WHEN ITS AT THE PLUS SIGN ITS AT THE LEVEL IT SHOULD BE, NO NEED TO FILL. IT WASNT LOW TO BEGIN WITH.
Slightly low, better now. 👍
