This recipe sounds delicious! I will definitely try this! I’m first generation Hungarian and spent many summers in Hungary as a child. Our original recipe is not quite the same however I think yours is more “elevated”. My grandmas, mom and aunts always used bone in chicken like you do. Now a days I use boneless thighs and breasts. We also added 1 or 2 plum tomatoes for seasoning only! Used to serve it with Hungarian dumplings but my mom changed over to imported Italian artisan pasta which is perfect for this dish. Thank you for sharing this delectable dish and highlighting Hungarian cuisine!

Thank you for sharing another recipe, Chef! Can this dish be frozen for reheating later? I know some dishes can't be for one reason or another and I'm wondering if the sour cream freezes well without separating. I love your recipes and could watch you cook all day. So simple yet so delicious.

Yes! I use boneless chicken thighs and breasts. The chicken thighs add more flavor in my opinion.
