Having owned a Malo 39 and Malo 43 I was pleased to hear the descriptions provided. The real loss was the demise of Malo Yachts as a premium yacht builder. Clearly above HallbergRassy and akin to Sweden Yachts. But there we are.

Well..if this is a Swedish sailed boat there are a few things to remember. If you are at the east coast of Sweden you sail in brackish water. During winter just about all boats are out of the drink and the masts are taken off during winter. Most of them are stored, with rigging, in well protected tents or in warm storage. Rigging on boats sailed in Sweden holds up MUCH longer than boats sailed almost everywhere else. I know people that also lube up the rigging during winter for protection. Remember, when winter is long people tend to fettle on their boats while longing for sailing days.
