Why you put Sauerkraut next to everything lmao. We eat more than that. Especially next to Schnitzel? Wtf
Ja man 😂😂
That poor schnitzel looked very sad.. I wish I was there to make them a proper freshly fried shnitzel becuse that one just looked awful. As far as I am concerned Wienerschnitzel is made of veal, but yeah you could use pork too. I am also sad about the papahs only got cabbage 😅 German cuisine is full of wonderful side dishes.
I thought the same it really did not do justice to the original
@@elianaacevedo7039 Thank you! And I am not even German. I just know their cuisine because we are quite close to each other here in Europe.
Probably the first time, Austrians wouldn't complain that they called the Schnitzel German 😂
@@Flo-vn9ty hahaha 😆
@@Flo-vn9ty we´re used to it xD
No spätzle, no schweinshaxe, no kartoffelkloße... you guys did the Germans dirty 😂
There were also no Northern German specialties. I was born and raised in Hamburg and have never eaten Schweinshaxe, ever. Or Weisswuerstel for that matter. We do a mean smoked makarel and eel up there though.
No Mett 😂
@@kathrinlancelle3304 mmm fischbroetchen
@@coyotelong4349 Zwiebelwurst ist so lecker.
@@kathrinlancelle3304No east, west or central German specialties as well 😂
Who eats Schnitzel with Sauerkraut? Exactly, noone does
They should have made Rouladen or Sauerbraten. With potato dumplings.
Perhaps some german potato salad.
I love the dad who brought along his own little chilis hahaha!! Like they are in his pocket all the time for emergencies :D
I'm surprised he didn't bring hot sauce let alone chilli's
Unlikely. Just done for the video
@@adrianharies9849
That's a thing. Usually chile pequin in a ziplock bag.
Cabbage as first two “German” dishes is criminal!
Only cabbage and kraft? German cucumber, green beans, potatoes so many others. Breads and beautiful sweets.
So, if I understood correctly, it was more of an “Oktoberfest-themed” tasting.
Please don't take offense, but this also shows that people in America automatically equate Germany with southern Germany and Bavaria in particular. Even for that, the selection was very, very limited.
On the other hand, you also have to make a selection for a video like this.
However, the Mexican gentlemen were all very fair and extremely nice in their assessments.
Sauerkraut and red cabbage are often side dishes, but, without offending the makers, neither looked to me like what I know and have eaten in Germany (where I was born and grew up)
I'll have to remember “That's dank” though!
“That's dank” for the video and to the mexican gentlemen.
not even that, nothing Oktoberfest about that
just cabbage with some really sad things
The biggest shok was that they didnt put Sauerkraut at the apfelstrudel 🙂Germany doesnt just eat cabbage you know 😂 😂
as an austrian, the apple strudel was a real offense. wrong pastry, looked awful. but well, i guess for a german variant it is ok? Also the Schnitzel, no one in austria would eat that, it looked like it has been sitting in a moldy bin for a few hours. Schnitzel is supposed to be thin, the breading should be crispy and golden.
Ruhe du bergdeutscher 😂
@@bigtarakan333haben mit euch deutschen nix am Hut also selber ruhe
We need more videos of the moms and dads together
Where is the other Dad,, The Star of the show.. He is always the voice of reason..
You gotta do a "Mexican dad world tour" series where you taste dishes from a couple countries from each continent 😊
Sauerkraut needs a good amount of butter and caramelized onions to balance out the tartness. Muchachos can come over to my house anytime. Most of this stuff did not look like anything authentic. Wiener Schnitzel has to have fresh lemon wedges. Also, Northern German food is quite different. Most people this side of the pond focus on all things Bavaria. I dare you to serve these guys an authentic Berlin Curry Wurst or Hamburg Franzbroetchen. Or Labskaus. Yeah. Good stuff.
Honestly, the biggest problem with the schnitzel was not the missing lemon 😂 . It either was a very very very bad convenience product or something went very wrong with the breading and or frying when they prepared it.
@@Flo-vn9ty Truth to that. I will happily cook these fellas some German food in exchange for airfare and accommodations. LOL
@@Flo-vn9tythe breading Was shit they didnt beat it flat and served it with Kraut
Sweet episode. Looks Bavaria did it. No hessian, berlin, baden-württhembergish or other food of other regions of Germany. German food is defenitely more diverse 😊 What about the Döner, Gulasch or Rouladen, Backfisch, Königsberger Klopse? 😅 I think the half of this food was austian or cheque food- apple strudel can also be austrian or cheque. And Wiener Schnitzel as the name says is austrian. We just have Schnitzel with porc or chicken 😢 But it is also very delicious 👍
these guys are all very upbeat and positive in their assessments of the foods here. even if they don't care for it they still have good things to say about it i admire that.
especially since generic german food is so dramatically different from all the different forms collectively referred to as "mexican".
So, i really enjoyed watching those Dads having such a blast with our german food! If they enjoyed it that much in those ways the food was served, they would LOVE it if they´d go to a german restaurant here! 😄
"I like this bag, you could give this as a gift." lol
One dad brought his own chilis
Love your content guys! Thanks For this ❤❤❤
Hey … papa with the glasses is back!
i love when my dads speak spanish ❤

I laughed when Tiberio brought out his chili’s
That was not a good representation of German food. Even the basic sauerkraut was a color I've never seen before lol
The Bad thing Was the breading of the schnitzel they didnt beat it flat and served it with Kraut
And didnt have a good selection of german food
The cookies go so well with coffee, warm milk, hot choclate or even tea.
2 comments.....in the RGV, people do carry little snack size ziplocks with their favorite chiles inside, usually chile pequin. Also, unless you are from south Texas or north Mexico, you might not be aware of the many German and Polish communities that settled there and have influenced dance, music and food.
That prison wienerschnitzel gave me anxiety when i seen it on the plate🤣🤣
Nice ! Should give these folks decent silverware, only a plastic fork !! lol!
It's a crime, to serve these dishes without German bread, or rolls...!
Brötchen MIT oder OHNe körner.
Oder
Milchbrötchen=pan de leche🤐
They should try Kassler with Mettenden, Sweet Grünkohl and Bratkartoffeln
Maybe you should serve your test persons a few of our local dishes. A Schnitzel often comes with a sauce based on onions and cream, and add mushrooms and let your guys have the traditional Jägerschnitzel (huntsman style schnitzel). Also there's the Currywurst. Basically a Bratwurst chopped into mouthfitting pieces, served with ketchup and curry spice powder. Upgrade: French Fries with Mayonnaise.
Oh how I wish they tried pork knuckle slow roasted
I’ve noticed both, moms & dads are not into the tangy taste of the Sauerkraut. And I wonder: was it right out of the jar or was it prepared?
My mom here in Germany use to add 1 bay leaf and 3 juniper berries, a little bit of broth (the powder or cube stuff) and a little bit of apple. A sweeter one. Fresh, apple juice or apple sauce, everything works. Just enough to lower the tangyness. 😅
shame on the cooks when it comes to cooking the schnitzel if you cant hear and feel that crispy crunch when biting into a schnitzel its not made properly. those schnitzels look anemic and barely had any contact with any hot surface
The breading Was shit
And they didnt beat the schnitzel flat
And served Kraut with schnitzel
Where are the maultaschen? Curry wurst? Where is the lemon and the fries with the schnitzel? The ginger bread? The Christmas cake (Stollen)? A good bretzel???
No Mettbrötchen? ;-) (Minced raw pork with onions on a bread roll)
other countries dont control pork production like germany, sadly
FINALLY!!! Not at all authentic but still. The biggest dare is "Mett". It's raw minced pork on a bun with onions and salt and pepper. Yes, raw pork.
Also big thanks for these videos, I love em!
honestly, Mexican dads will eat anything
First of all, the Mexican Dads are very kind, and I think also honest. They simply are not used to German food but were very open to new tastes.
As some Germans are not pleased with the plates you served, they are right that a lot of tastes are missing, and the "Sauerkraut und Würstchen" move was too obvious. Nevertheless, it is not possible to present the different tastes of a country in one video.
I liked the "dads" tasting and judging, and being open for new flavours. And you can say to them, there a quite a lot more. ;)
It would be nice If we were told what part of Mexico these men are actually from. I am having an issue nailing down the accents. I am assuming that this means they are from way up north where I rarely go. I assume that you are aware that we are a fairly large country with differing regional tastes in food. I frankly suspect that first man of being from the US.
My mom tried to get me to enjoy, sauerkraut, and no thank you ma’am 😂
These guys need BEER with these dishes!
It's a flavor enhancer!
You need a part two as a german i dont know what happened
Sauerkraut probably is an acquired taste tbh but I like it
Nice mexican dads or sure, they like german food.😊
Hola Papah Tiberio, Donato y Vincente...Buen Provecho ❤😊
They put the bratwurst on wonder bread 😭
This is insulting! You really think we eat this much sauerkraut? Like wtf?! I been back in Germany since corona....so 4 years now...I had Sauerkraut once since!
Someone should take you to court for this!
It took me til I was like 10 years old to enjoy sauerkraut. I love it tho with hot dogs and sausages. Also love eating sausage and cabbage or sauerkraut soup. My dad, being Croatian, loved sauerkraut and cabbage cuz it’s in Croatia’s cuisine. So I got exposed to it from a young age.
They served the cream of the crop. Im surprised they didnt serve any offal meats, especially liverwurst 🤮.
Wait what!... They didn't serve them German Frikadellen?... How could you guys do such a thing!... It's one of my all time favourite foods... It can be eaten either hot or cold... And it tastes incredible... Evan a Schweinshaxe (Pork Knuckle) would've been nice to see here too guys... I hope there's going to be further delicious German food products in future guys. 👍
sauerkraut gets eaten because its healthy and back in the days it was very important because it have a lot of vitamins
German individual components put together at random, sorry.
Yesss
Guys, how can you create a clip like this about German food and pretend that German meals consist almost exclusively of sauerkraut, red cabbage, smoked pork, sausages, apple strudel and cookies?
Are you serious?
What about Grillhähnchen, dem berühmten deutschen Brot, Erbsensuppe, Kartoffelsuppe, Reibekuchen, Schnitzel, Kotelett, Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte, Rheinischer Sauerbraten, Kartoffelsalat, Grillhaxe, Schweinebraten, Rinderrouladen, Käsespätzle usw.?*
(*translation: What about grilled chicken, the famous German bread, pea soup, potato soup, potato pancakes, schnitzel, pork chops, Black Forest gateau, Rhenish sauerbraten, potato salad, grilled knuckle of pork, beef roulades, cheese spaetzle, etc.?)

Mexican das try Irish food! Ya gotta do It man!
yep that looks like a schnitzel from germany cant be like this in Austria where the Wiener Schitzel comes from lmao
You guys forgot the best food of our culture WO SIND DIE KLÖSSE UND DIE ROULADEN 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪
Guten Morgen Allerseits
Good morning!
Well Wiener Schnitzel is not "German" but Austrian..and this one looked very bad, in Austria that would land instantly in the trash or in rural areas it will be feeded to the pigs - although - it looked like as if it was prepared in Germany, so at least I have to give you that.
And the Apfelstrudel for what also Austria is actually famous for ...no words unless "insult" at least for the looks because an Apfelstrudel looks totally different
"Strudel" means "whirl" so the inside look has to look like "a whirl" due to being furled, the filling has to be spread on the whole surface of the very wide outstreched (at least an arm length long and wide ) + very thin flaky pastry dough = the dough is that thin so you could read a written paper when lying beneath the dough - then the dough with the fillings spreaded all over the whole surface got furled so when then looking at the cut there are then layers of very thin flaky pastry dough + filling inside which looks like a whirl due to be rolled up and therefore it is called "Strudel/whirl""....but that thing has just a very thick chunk of dough wrapped around the filling... but it might taste good, but it is definitively no "Strudel" but just a very thick chunk of dough around a filling
Wiener Schnitzel only goes with Brateräpfel !!! (roasted Potatos) !!!
yummy
You don’t eat sauerkraut in a bowl like that it’s a condiment, you don’t eat a bowl of mustard!
Well that was a little offensive to german food xD
Where are the cream puffs and beer?
DO ITALIAN FOOD NEXT
wienerschnitzel is austrian btw
Yup. That's where Wien is located.
In the northern parts of Germany, we would just call it Schweineschnitzel, Kalbsschnitzel, Putenschnitzel or whatever meat you are using. Basically the same thing though. Breaded meat, fried, and served with freshly squeezed lemon. YUM!
Get them drunk!
No potato dishes considering potato is the main staple vegetable in Germany, is crazy
you done germany bad
No Knödel! 😢😅
man always thisbavarian stuff do the rest of germany
Kartoffelsalat?
Why no braunschweiger??😂
Come on!
We ain't eat Sauerkraut and Rotkohl with every meal.
Last time i ate those things was 2 years ago on Christmas Eve.
Not everything is about Kraut, Murica boy!
Yesterday morning i had 4 scrambled eggs with salmon.
Lunch break was something with pasta.
2. lunch break i had a vegetable salad.
For dinner i had a burger with fries.
No Kraut
Try Dominican food
Yes
You can tell the quality of that good, especially the “schnitzel” was terrible. Don’t judge German food based on this.
Try saudi food
If there is german in the title, there are germans in the comment section! When germans conquer, they can't stop. 😅
Bratkartoffeln zum Schnitzel?!
a good gray bread was also missing :/
Schnitzel looks shit! no bubble surface...nothing!
How can a cookie be boring ☠️
Voy hacer un vídeo de Alemanes probando comida Mexicana. Creo que voy a darles Doritos.
That was literally a shame for the real German Food!
I mean Bratwurst mit Toast 😭
Why is the kraut orange?
Should it be a Schnitzel 🤣🤣🤣🤣?
I don't know what that is, but that's not a Brat. Where are the potatoes, the pretzel? the Spätzle???
That's the same stuff you served to the moms already. The dishes look so sad. You really couldn't come up with anything better? But well they seem to like it anyway 😄
this schnitzel looks so disgusting
Where is Schwarzbrot, Bratkartoffeln, Brötchen, stramm max or at least some combinations that we really eat? This offends me a little bit
I keep HEARING Arturo, but I'm not SEEING Arturo.... this is the second video like that lately. What's going on?👀
Yikes.
Who thought this would be a good idea?
You don't serve side dishes alone. These are not entrees, and are always to be consumed as part of a meal
F minus, big fat F minus...
que rico pe
