- This episode features the Emergency Task Force (ETF) Unit
In conversation with host Axel Villamil, members of the ETF unit discuss their mandate, the importance of teamwork and the emergency response support they provide to the TPS. Axel is also taken through some of the specialized training ETF members undergo on a regular basis.
👍👍👍 Great video for residents of Toronto, this info is awesome!!
All similar to the TV series Flashpoint (2008), one of world’s most underrated SWAT teams out there, should be an example for all SWAT teams. Great video by the way!
Flashpoint was based on the Toronto ETF, but is still a far cry from what these men and women actually do. Most of what they do appears boring at face value because the ETF officers are extremely good at their job, specifically the "boring" stuff that prevents the sexy Hollywood stuff from needing to happen.
Thank you (all involved) for sharing this informative and educational video with us. That was absolutely awesome and i learned a lot.
Been waiting for this ! 👍
Respect for those men/woman/they/them choose to do these jobs.
It takes an unique set of personality and mental health to do any of these jobs.
Awesome episode 👏 👏👍
Really do like these type of vids!
I know most of the officers there. A truly elite unit.
Amazing! Are you an officer too? Thank you for your service 👍
Can we have more documentaries like these?
Yes, and with other units such as the mounted, bike squad, motorcycle, etc
After reading most of the comments from this video... It's a pity that most of these humans won't acknowledged, that they lived in a very privileged society. 100 years ago, it's basically an luxury. Keep working hard.
He loves the word stigma.
BADASS GUYS!!!
Our swat team hey swat was a good movie
I allllllways think the Americans should let Canadians train their cops.
lol, canadian cops are pretty cool, but amarican cops get straight to bussyniss
other way around.
@akadopeboi no i think they should train each other like sharing the skills and tactics for example Canadian cops using body cams
Fifty Shades of Grey Nice !
To the best of my knowledge. There hasn't been a boomb attack at all in Canada as a whole. If that does happen... I wonder. Will there be a new branch of policing?
Is there any height requirements for ETF Squat
Yes this is informative and all but why does the first guy you interviewed look like he eats bullets for breakfast ???
Requirement for the ETF
Canada needs to increase ETF units as immigration rises from second and third world countries.
You can birth a kid and have them join it! Or join it yourself. It's not as easy as everyone keep complaining on TH-cam. The it's 1-2 years and a lot of background checks.
On top of that, the budget cuts.
For the record. Unless your born as the original indigenous Canadians. You, yourself it's once by blood an immigrant. Either from your family members or not.
what helmet is that ?
how do u join
Become a Toronto Police officer first.
@@ffryan for how long and do u need university degree?
Google map Toronto police station. Than visit them in person and ask. There's a list of things to do. You can join if your older. As along your 18, either a citizen or resident. They also removed the fee for policing schools.
It'll take 1-2-3 years. As long you have the qualifications to serve the community and swear allegiant to Canadian crown.
10% of the population will always be little policeman or whatever government. There's the 80% who respect them all. Be greatful that you may live in a country full of benefits. Otherwise stay safe and best of odds.
Keep turning yourself into the Army. Keep turning yourself into the army
It’s a big deal to crack a house. It’s all based on ‘the heels angles’ eh hells angels.
Strong back weak mind
27:17. Believe or not, Canada 25% of whole population have gun ownership. Granted they're 2 shot rifles or small fire arms.
Yea blood 🩸 is raising blood 🩸
Just remember this podcast was given tax payer dollars. I'm sure police could use money in a smarter way.
Which smarter way? Very informative video for the general public to see how a part of their tax dollars are spent. Also informative to show people that the EFT isn't just about killing but also deescalating situations. If you ask me this seems like a very smart way to spend tax payer dollars, and I'm happy to be contributing to such cause.
I'd consider this as part of community outreach. It's not like CBC would cover anything that doesn't go along with the defund the police cult. Subscribed, liked, shared and watching the rest of their content.
@Gigachad this is their most viewed video at 10k views, not sure if you know the population of toronto, but this doesn't even scratch the surface. Even if every citizen watched their videos it wouldn't be changes in the environment .
Can't tell if you're joking or not but videos aren't actual policing or community involvement.
@@CC-ed9lf damn near 3 mil lol. You’re right on the money with this.
Public education is one of the best things police can do. This video is a great use of taxpayer dollars.
Canada as a whole have one of the highest social welfare for citizen and residence of lower class. I would taken that you didn't take the time to read what really gone into the tax system? For the record; Canada it's half socialism and half capitalism. With democracy.
Unlike most countries. Once your broke. There's no food banks. No homeless shelter, no children support system. Children under age of 18, go hungry all over the world. Yet Canada isn't perfect. Have system in place for most of these social welfare services. That's where the tax money it's gone.
No matter what race you might be. Canadian it's a proud country with benefits and beliefs. Don't like it? Move out.
Now there's war on drugs and money laundering.

People will get their feelings hurt. That said, why not have all female swat? Might as well.
For public image sake

300k of toronto taxpayers money for this ? 😂
I’d rather give 300k to this podcast, than feed it back to useless people named BrownBoi14 that have no purpose in life. Change your name to Bandwagon boi
@@mikegummelt9180 you mad ? I made that in a year broke white man
Come now, no need to act so childish. You live in a society with so much benefits. It's part of the perk to live in Canada. Don't like it? Move to somewhere else that doesn't have higher paying taxes.
For the record, have some class. No need to bring race, color, and religion this argument.

What a waist of tax dollars, how about a better education for new officers and actual knowledge of the oath the take to serve and protect and actually learn the charter of right in freedoms ?
You can’t even spell

Those are some weak shooting stances lol
