@@sophiestvdiary Don't worry, it takes a while for me to reply too sometimes ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Yeah, the first 30 episodes nothing really happens, everyone just makes more and more schemes, competing for power 😅 so you can totally skip through them 😂 but for me the last 10-ish episodes were great and the finale was beautiful and meaningful ❤️ the main moral of the show is that power isn't the most important thing in life, it won't make you happy and pursing power actually leads to harm for everyone involved 👀 which is a powerful message considering how the show is build on the power struggle 😄 and you can more or less slowly sense that this is the direction of the plot throughout the episodes, but the ending really puts an emphasis on that sooo I think that the idea of the whole storyline is excellent tbh 😄 it's just that the show wasn't that well made, hence why I almost quit too 🙈

Marrying the princess would make Lanxi powerful in position hence why this a test of loyalty by his country 👀 things get really good after the marrying or not the princess drama xD Also btw, there's a little something said that it might happen in the future at the end of the show - you'll know what it is if you get there xD the uncertainty might make you bitter but I was told that in the novel the show is based on they actually deal with the future thing too so it's all good ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
