Hey CHG, glad you have enjoyed the new content in the latest update of Kaiserreich! With regards to the apparent bug that you bring up around the 11:00 minute mark, I can confirm as the person who coded the event chain that your choices about the outcome of Petain's trial have absolutely zero effect on whether the Law of Exiles can be repealed.

Napoleon takes way to long to restore in my opinion, by the time you do the game is likely about over.
That's unfortunately the point of why it takes so long. It's the KR team's emphasis on realism in that "The French would never let a Bonaparte rule again after the disaster that was Napoleon III". You're basically redeeming the past mistakes and making yourself honorable in the French people's eyes, it's mostly for flavor and has no significance on the game itself..
Luckily Kaiserredux still exists
I take it more as a late-game reward. Rather than a path on its own. Plus, you get a lot of time to spend with general Bonaparte.

@Everyone as of 7/27/2021 the Law of the Exiles still appears no matter what you pick for Petain's death. So feel free to pick whatever you like! I let him live out his life in prison :3

Hey, I was wondering if you would do a lets play of this, I know your taking a break form Kaiserreich, and that you did it a little during a live stream, but I have not found any lets plays doing the resent version of the French Empire, so if you ever do decide to play it again this would be fun to see.

Don't worry, your french prononciation is actually pretty good. The only miss that i could hear was Phillippe de Hautecloque, but it is a difficult one.
Between "really easy with Spys to deal with resistance as " Nationalist France and similar for Ottoman Empire it appears the KR developers for these countries are really wanting its players to buy the La Resistance DLC.
Yep, played as the ottomans without la resistance, and holy fuck it’s annoyingly tedious. There is an event during the Cairo war where the Arabs rise like the Kurds, however this rising is “special”. In the 5 Arab states where they initially rise, if resistance gets over a certain point after you kill them. The fuckers rise again. Now imagine this. Your barely moving in the Suez, and Yemen is taking a bunch of troops due to desert, then bam, the Arabs rise with modern troops and you are effectively encircled in the Suez. Now that’s annoying

Yes, in order to restore the kingdom of France you need too side with de Gaulle and then accept to colaborate with the action française and Charles maurras. And the King Jean III d'Orléans will be back to take back the alsace lorraine from the bosches ;)

I think it a bug, since my first game after the patch was with Georgia, and it was riddled with bugs! Georgia herself was fine, but the rest of the world was nuts! The first big one was nearly losing the Ottoman-Cairo pact war, because we won. Azerbaijan joined the war on the side of the Ottomans, and I joined to stab them in the back, and take the coast of Turkey. HOWEVER When I took Baku, Iran and Iraq instantly capitulated! That was just the start! Every single time after that point when a nation took a capitol, save for the CP taking Turkeys for some reason, the army that took it would capitulate!

This path is spiritually more closer to Louis Napoléon (presidential election, pro-buisness conservatism, etc) than Napoléon Bonaparte itself. Going into a conquest wild ride after you just landed in a country where no one likes you is irrealist at the utmost.
