That is truly amazing. I've been sewing for over 50 years and I'm still not that brave. LOL. The jacket is just gorgeous and I love the Sharpie detail. Bravo!!!

Catherine. This was amazing to watch. I love that when you de-construct to then construct something new I learn more about construction of garments and can see it in my minds eye. I love that you did the trim with your sharpie. I’m working my way back through your videos. You should have a lot more subscribers. I’m going to let everyone I know about you. Karen x

Watching you remake your awesome finds brings back memories! I was a seamstress (as my home business) for almost 30 years! I would say 80% was alterations, which I came to love! Sometimes a little stressful since it was someone else’s clothing. I’m almost 67 and have slowed down quite a bit, sewing now for myself and family. I LOVE TO SEW!!!

The jacket turned out beautifully. A completely agree with the black trim being too heavy. The white would have been redundant but I never would have considered a sharpie.
I knew it was going to work out otherwise we wouldn’t be eating the video 😜 but have you admit I was very skeptical about it… until it was finished. It looked just perfect. Brava !!! Like always ❤

Wow Catherine, this was great! The first time I have seen someone alter the big shoulder pad look, and I would never have thought to cut off the top of the sleeve! And making the arm eye smaller by lifting the whole jacket is really cool. So often the huge arm’s eye just ruins the whole fit. Congratulations!🎊🍾🎈

Once again, an inspiring project! Thank you! Totally loved the final look with the "sharpie bead" trim. So much better than the heavy black trim or the lighter one. Could not believe it was going to turn out. What a final twist!

Thanks, Charlie! I'm glad you agree. I was surprised how much I didn't like the black trim!!
