Thank you for Comparing all current models of Kawai digital Piano..
Humble question..I am Intermediate Player..I own CA 78..
Do you think it's worth upgrading to CA 79?
Is Price difference more than $ 1000 justify between this two ?
Just looking n focusing only on Touch & Piano Sound quality...
I am unable to check CA 79 in my country.. it's not available till date.
    What's your expert opinion..
    Thank you ....STAY SAFE..👍

Hi, Max here! Definitely a subjective question there but I'll break it down the best I can. The biggest improvements from the CA78 to the CA79 is an improved action (Grand Feel II vs. Grand Feel III), enhanced digital audio rendering technology, easier to navigate software on the touch screen display, and a sleeker cabinet design. The action upgrade is a big deal - the CA79 will feel instantly noticeably better and more authentic. I'd describe the CA78 GFII action as "smoother" and the CA79 as a touch firmer, closer to a true acoustic feel. A good analogy would be like the difference in feel between typing on a fancy mechanical keyboard vs. a typical computer keyboard. The CA79's upgraded digital audio rendering technology is a major step up from the CA78 as well and it offers more opportunities in its virtual technician tool to make subtle changes to the piano sounds. In my opinion, it is definitely worth making the upgrade and I think you'd agree once you get the chance to try one out for yourself!

But is not a right Piano for advanced classical music piano practice for taking high levels exams, right?

Oof, very hard and subjective question. We think there are high-end digitals that you can get some great practice out of. Max, who is a classically-trained pianist and piano teacher, owns a CA79 himself. That said, he does practice on the grands here too. My advice is ask your teacher. Your needs and the techniques you need to develop are going to be very personal. Maybe you can do so on a nice digital, but maybe you do need a nice acoustic. I'd say if you can get an acoustic, it'd be a great investment for you. --Drew, 👪🎹

Thanks for watching! All my playing in this video is improvisation, so it is unwritten and unnamed. Glad this video was helpful! - Max
