I firmly believe lawyers should have their licenses at risk for making a career of frivolous lawsuits. Also, if they wage lawfare to try to make their target broke, there should be protection for those that are being targeted.
Then again, there are vexatious litigants, such as the president elect and his pal Elon. Courts need to crack down on people like these, and disbarring their lawyers wouldn't take care of the problem.
My gripe with that is that False was contacted by the liver, Salvi wasn’t. As far as I know. And Salvi’s predated False’s and Rima’s covering. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth breaking that story without the liver’s consent or reaching out to them.
Near the end someone brought up that a former talent was told to pretend they had a dad, which she found very weird and off-putting in retrospect, but it was never a demand. She was never "forced" to pretend she had a dad.
Wouldn’t you consider the power dynamic itself to be atleast pressure?? Like if your boss told you to do something and you’re brand new to the company, won’t you follow what they say??? It’s not necessarily ‘force’, but ‘don’t disobey us because you don’t know any better’ and the liver might’ve heard from the other livers to always listen to managers…. Then again it’s all speculations at this point
@chokiyio Sunny herself said she was never forced to pretend she had a dad, and that it was "kind of my fault, honestly" for not putting her foot down. That's the correction I wanted to make.
If your company and higher ups tells you a suggestion, you usually do not say no cause we all know what happens when you say NO to the higher ups. Especially when we know what Niji is like. They dont take No. Its legit abuser methods. Suggestion, leaving you with the illusion of choice when its either YES or face consequences. You just dont say NO when the higher ups say something.
I have a feeling the "extremist" content on Steam is based on a recent report about "hate symbols" used there. The thing is, like 75% (IIRC) of them are Pepe the Frog meme, which exists as an emoji (the one that got co-opted relatively recently by the alt right). I don't recall the breakdown of 1940s German symbols, but I wouldn't be surprised if a large percentage of them are also just game discussion, fanart, and the like of games set in that time period.
Something people ain't really addressing is that there are about 100 screenshots of DMs. They would all have to be analyzed for legal purposes. False, Rima and Salvi have shown but a fraction and the hole gets a whole deeper once you actually see them all.
Im only like 12 minutes in the video and you started talking about Japan's work cultures. I can see that because i used to work at Honda in the US and they had me working 12 hours a day for 13 days in a row with only 1 day off. I had to quit for my mental health
That mindset of equal raises seems more fair as I have been in companies where there is a very real but unspoken favouritism or lookism factor to compensation - there is no one single english term for this as I have found, but in Norvegian it is called "trynefaktor". Here the part of the word, tryne, means face - and more closely synonymous with a pigs face than anything other. Faktor is obviousely factor. So, this is a sort of an un-culture comprised of an uncertainty field of invisible interactions that almost like magic (particles? waves? quantum entanglement? :D) one is the subjected to in MANY aspects of ones employment, but it is quite impactful for individuals on both sides of the reinforced invisible glass ceiling and walls separating those in favour and those who are not, expecially when it comes to salary, raises or other renumerations or considerations. The management and their minions doing their bidding (HR, team leaders, middle management) are naturally gaslighting and brushing aside any and all claims of this happening, even when there are both internal and external witnesses and recordings, and I have heard some of the recordings in a few cases where employers speak of their employees that were it Twich you would get insta-perma-banned in a heartbeat.
I really feel that what is essentially the non-American definition of defamation is so stupid. I am perfectly fine with the version where if a person can be proven to have lied and treats it as a fact to damage a person or entity there should be some type of punishment. The version that is used in so many other countries where even the truth can be seen as defamatory as long as it damages a person or entity should not be a thing. I know it is mostly about reputation but if that is so important to you then maybe you shouldn't have done the thing they are saying you did and made sure to take step to make sure you have a good rep in the open and behind closed doors.
This New York Law firm should be investigated and shut down, everyone who works at the law firm who takes part in these frivolous lawsuits should have their licenses pulled, and I'd even go as far as to say that they should serve jail time. And ANYCOLOR/NijiEN should be banned from operating within the U.S. meaning that if you're here in the U.S. and want to get on with a VTuber Agency (for whatever reason is beyond me) then avoid ANYTHING dealing with NijiEN/ANYCOLOR. I am a strong advocate for Independent Vtubers, I would say that sure growing as an Indi-Vtuber is definitely harder, but you only have to abide by the rules of the platform you're streaming on, and you don't get roped into some shady contract filled with tons of Red Tape and ridiculous rules.
Darn it had to google "what is a liver", and now i am confused. Not really, but i would like you guys to rethink this term, especially in written form.
It is quiet an old meme, that primarily Niji refers to talents as "livers". I can't remember from the top of my head who else does this too, but other corpos usually use "talents". Probably it is because Niji was the first livestream-oriented VT agency, in the beginning VT was more about prerecorded videos.
Nijisanji refers to their talents as "livers". So if you'd like to tell em to reconsider the name, I guess you tell Anycolor lol. We people just follow, or sometimes call em "Niji's organs" for the funny
Are these vtubers middle schoolers? You'd assume they would have to be 18 to sign the contract but from their interpersonal skills it seems like they had their parents sign their permission slips.
@@burtmacklin6443 tbh a lot of vtubers even outside nijisnaji have very stunted interpersonal skills. Especially when some never have had a “real” job and jump straight into vtubing as their first job.
1:20:16 going after false would be extremely difficult. iirc he's american, so those lawsuits would be quickly and cheaply tossed. also, been here since the amber heard days, but wasn't a regular until the doki problems erupted.

I agree. Legal support is already prohibitively expensive as it is even when you are in the right

Been here when the whole Selen fiasco started. Kurosanji loves to dig holes and now they found (baby)oil.
There were two leaks. 1 from Blue Salvi and then shortly after another leaker from False. Two leakers. Two news streamers.
My gripe with that is that False was contacted by the liver, Salvi wasn’t. As far as I know.
And Salvi’s predated False’s and Rima’s covering.

Independent Contractor is the best American cultural export in modern history. It's like indentured servitude but extremely legal.
