I loved this book! I loved looking over all the cats and guessing who was who!

With Longtail now revealed to be yet another brown tabby, cudos to the artists for finding a way to make them all stand out from each other.

10:30 In the original Into the Wild, Firepaw hardly interacts with Spottedleaf. It's crazy how she's treated as such a big deal/as having this huge relationship with Firestar when they barely had any scenes together while she was alive. I chalked Firepaw's reaction to her death up to being shocked that such a sweet, talented medicine cat - someone he admired (as shown by his thoughts when he meets with Princess) - had been murdered, whereas Lionheart was struck down in battle protecting ThunderClan.
As for the cuts, I used to be the person who got mad whenever they removed any small detail. However, it seems that the illustrators (Natalie and Sara) are reshaping the first arc to fit their own narrative, which means moving and deleting certain scenes. And I love it! This graphic novel is meant to be a retelling, not a carbon copy, and more fast-paced than the main series books. It also gives the cats so much more personality and fixes a lot of flaws from the original series. It's not perfect, but what is? They're doing an amazing job making the Warriors world feel real. Not to mention the OUTSTANDING art and character designs!
Nice review as always! I love hearing your thoughts and seeing your lovely artwork.

I’m thinking the reason the graphic novel cut out lots of content is so they could keep it kid-friendly. Warriors can get pretty violent when they want to be!

I’m not sure that’s it! I feel like they showed a fair bit of violence and I don’t feel like what was cut was particularly violent for the most part. And I feel like there’s little point to adapting a series with so much violence just to cut it out when it was allowed in the main series meant for the same audience
