I couldn’t fully confirm how much merit this particular opinion warranted until I watched this clip. Can confirm these are true and basic facts. Agreed.
My favorite episode is season 1, ep 12, with Pee Wee Herman as the dying prince Gerhardt. "Mein damen und herren, the Habsburg line has ended! You can pick up your gift bags at the coat check!" OMG kills me every time.
My wife and I have been using the gift bag line ever since we watched that episode air. Perfectly delivered by Will Forte, who reappeared later in the series as Paul. Jenna's insane boyfriend.
Tracy actually has said in interviews that this show saved his life because it gave him a place to act like a wreckless party animal without any real world consequences, so he could get his act together in his own life.
My Favorite Episode is "Leap Day." So many weird and hilarious moments. "That's it Jackie. Cry. Cry 'till there's a hole in your heart that can only be filled with money."
2020 I just discovered your show and fell in love with it and you immediately, and purchased the first five seasons to bask in. What a wonderful ensemble. I wish you rainbows.
Oh my god, I love the Star Wars references of Tina Fey. She always does that at 30 Rock. I love this girl. Like Oprah said: She is the sex symbol of the thinking man.
30 Rock is one of the two best shows on TV today, which is why it consistently wins Best Comedy for both the Emmys and Golden Globes. The other one of the two best shows is Breaking Bad, which should win Best Drama in the upcoming Emmys and Golden Globes. Tha's just my humble opinion. :)
The Live episode was a thrill...I was pushed into Am-Dram as a kid/tweenie/teen...I liked being part of a group, and loved the attention and the feeling of making the audience happy....maybe time for a rebirth...🙂
i bet they have a BLAST working together. tina fey is probably the smartest and funniest comedienne out there right now. she's like the female version of jon stewart :D
I like that she's in her 50's same as me, I can relate to quite a bit of her writing. Growing old sucks...but it does come wth the odd benefit...here and there....like Lived-Experience & we get the gift of Hindsight too. And we've also had time to read a whole range of books, watch 000's of nonsense on TV...get up to our eye balls in social media...research politics AND go down all the rabbitholes! (Most have some truth at the bottom but it's often never what you think...some are fake ones...sent viral by shills like aj, to drown out / cover up the real story, like pizza express...it wasn't pizza express at all... it was a private jet... called "Lolita Express". As per Leaked Papers circa 2012. Give you 3 guesses who owns that jet/private island...little black books...sweaty old fools who claim they can't sweat...
Why does s growing old have to suck? Surely there is a way to keep the same sex drive you had in your 20s and overall energy and hy and hope? Otherwise it's too depressing and discouraging
It seems like it's definitely early season 1, and "Tracy Does Conan" is for sure one of the best season 1 episodes, but the "what I like about you?" bit is from a different one I think.
@@jerodastthanks for answering. Inwish they shared the full paley show onnhere..do you happen to know anywjere we can see the full.paley presentation?
I love how the second highest rated comment was telling people to go easy on Tracy Morgan and it's super thoughtful. Then I saw the highest rated comment: Tracy is so high ROFL
Love Tina and Jane has also grown more beautiful and less annoying since that dreadful Ally McBeal show. But Tina is the star, no doubt. So pretty, so smart and so down to earth. We need more women like you out there baby!:)
People need to chill about Tracy Morgan in this. The only reason why it's annoying is because they clipped the video right when he starts going on and on. The only reason why I know what the question is is because of the title. Unless know what was ahead of him blabbing ask yourself whether someone told him to blab a few secs before the vid started.
I always kind of thought of 30 Rock as The Dick Van Dyke Show only with Mary Tyler Moore from her show in the 1970s in charge and Alec Baldwin as Mel Cooley/ Lou Grant Sort of.
Tracy Junior: Jack Donaghy, I now have an unemployed father. YOU TRYING TO ME A STEREOTYPE? DID YOU EVEN VOTE FOR OBAMA? These are the funniest words ever quoted on that show.
i really like how tracey went from being annoying and typical black stereotype in the beginning of 30rock to a sort of goofy manchild in the later seasons
I'm pretty sure he/she/it did it so that most people wouldn't have to scroll through a couple of years' worth of comments to find the old top rated one.
So how've you been these past 12 years since you left your comment? And are you surprised that in all that time no one has replied in any way to your comment, either with a comment or a thumbs up?
Don't laugh at Tracy Morgan shouting his way through jokes! it will only encourage him! Seriously, we are 56 seconds in before he shut up and the interviewer actually got to his first question. I want to hear what someone else has to say.
@BigSleepyOx Correction, 30 Rock WAS one of the best shows on TV, but this season it has totally fallen off and has become a burden to watch. If it wins any awards for this season, those voters truly have no shame. The only way this show will improve is if it begins to take risks again, like it did if the first couple of seasons.
+DontWorry I'llWait He was basically just playing himself. 30 Rock is based on Tina Fey's experiences when she was head writer at SNL. Tracy Morgan was extremely difficult to work with but at the same time something of a comedy savant. She was constantly frustrated with him but they became good friends. He even went on Oprah and got very emotional when the subject of their friendship came up.
"I like you.You have the boldness of a much younger woman."
-- Jack to Liz.
Great line!
All 30 rock interview clips should begin with a full minute of Tracy freewheeling followed by "so, Tina, do you remember the question?"
If ever Tracy and Robin Williams got into the same room I'm not sure the fabric of the universe could handle it.
I couldn’t fully confirm how much merit this particular opinion warranted until I watched this clip. Can confirm these are true and basic facts. Agreed.

YES
That’s a great episode in fact that might be one of my favorite episodes from season 1
When Tracy starts talking you hear Tina tell the host ‘just ride this’ 🤣🤣 perfectly sums up their relationship!!!
No she says "transcribe this"
@@emiliavenka Yeah, that's what I heard too.
Oh shit, Tracy wasn't acting in the show
His public persona is an act, he is actually very intelligent and sharp.
Tracy actually has said in interviews that this show saved his life because it gave him a place to act like a wreckless party animal without any real world consequences, so he could get his act together in his own life.
Tina Fey always talked about how the characters are basically just actors LOL
My Favorite Episode is "Leap Day." So many weird and hilarious moments.
"That's it Jackie. Cry. Cry 'till there's a hole in your heart that can only be filled with money."
So so very excited for leap day 2024, getting my blue & yellow outfit ready lolol

It's so brilliant!!! Can fit so well even now !
Oh my god, I love the Star Wars references of Tina Fey. She always does that at 30 Rock. I love this girl. Like Oprah said: She is the sex symbol of the thinking man.
i love how after a nearly a minute of Tracy talking/joking(?) the interviewer turns to Tina and is like "do u remember the question."
i love jane's laughing at tracey's stuff at the beginning
She's so charming.
tina and alecs relationship = ''uncle cousin sister friends'' (quote from the show, might be slightly wrong)
Liz "work husband/uncle"
Jack "coworker/little sister"
Yeah. You're way off.
Bruce Wayne jack actually says little brother. lol
Salma Hayek: "She's your bro!"
Tracy has AD1080-60fps.

@@westsideken I don't think Breaking Bad will catch on.
Mary Tyler Moore/Lou Grant & Princess Leia/Han Solo!! Perfect explaination of the Liz/Jack dynamic! I love Tina Fey.

Look how skinny Tracy was here. He has since grown an epic beer belly lol. He's one funny dude tho.
I think this is when he was suffering from kidney failure, before the transplant.
It's a smart man who puts a roof over his tools.
Tina Fey is my fave comedian!!
AGREED, I love this woman!

does anybody here know what are the episodes Tina are talking about?
i think one of them is when tracy is on conan idk abt the rest
Tina Fey: "uh i'm tina uh i think i uh maybe want to try writing and theater one day"
Tracy is rockin' the Wallabees
watch tracy clips he is amazing
@BeginnningoftheEnd Tina Fey's acting might not be the best, but keep in mind she also created the show and she writes it. And it's based on her life.

My favorite is when Jenna and Tracy fight about whether white women or black men have it harder
Tracy makes Tina sound like she's never spoken in front of an audience before

@howbigis1gb my thoughts entirely.
OMG Tracy Morgan could play Mike Tyson if he just worked out it'd be perfect
How so? By looks? Nah! Mike's voice is a key factor. They would have to go with an Aries Spears....after he worked out.
He is so funny.
tracy's crazy............but he makes the show funny~
@Breeslave I second that
My favorite episodes are the ones with Jacks Mother.

-Dismissed!
Personally I would say more on the Moore/Grant side than Han/Leia side.
Tracy is so high.
tina's voice is disarmingly deep
Macho macho is out, Empathetic is in.
I keep it all in mind. Everyone still doesn't have to eat it all up. lol
Our other NBC buddy Conan O'Brien... If she only knew...
The gobos are meringue
Tina Fey's voice seems lower than usual
Tina and Nat (TH-cam) are the funniest women...
Tracy Morgan is a caricature of Tracy Morgan.

Alec is incapable of normal human emotions like love.
I never thought Tracy Morgan was funny on the show and I certainly don’t find him funny in real life.
