I think it's important that the *Philippines* put a greater focus on creating more uplifting fairytales. The current fairy tale about the Battle of Yultong in which 900 Filipino soldiers defeated 50,000 Chinese soldiers isn't working to boost the Philippine army's and navy's ever-plummeting morale. Since 2011 China has been exploiting Philippine oil, natural resources, and fishing, even coming within 600 feet of the Philippine's shores. The navy and coast guards of the Philippines are powerless to do anything but observe in fear. Aaaahhhhh!!!!
Remember the great underdog story of how 300 Spartan warriors defeated the Persian army 25 to 1? That story was already amazing but the Philippines somehow managed to come up with an even better one called "The Battle of Yultong," where the Filipino army defeated the PLA army 50 to 1. The story described how brave, skilled, and courageous the Filipino soldiers were. But how come we are not seeing these fearlessness and courageous qualities from the Filipino navy or coast guards? There are videos of them waving the white towel frantically to being harassed daily and crying to the world about it, Where is that Yultong bravery spirit?
