- Das traditionelle Weihnachtskonzert "Christmas in Vienna" aus dem Wiener Konzerthaus verzaubert alljährlich mit klassischen Weihnachtsliedern und populärer Weihnachtsmusik aus aller Welt. Beim diesjährigen Konzert werden die österreichische Sopranistin Beate Ritter, die französische Mezzosopranistin Marianne Crebassa, der kanadisch-deutsche Tenor Michael Schade und der dänische Bariton Bo Skovhus gemeinsam mit den Wiener Sängerknaben und der Wiener Singakademie auf Weihnachten einstimmen. Begleitet werden die Stimmen vom ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien unter der Leitung von Sascha Götzel. Für die Bildregie zeichnet Felix Breisach verantwortlich.
The traditional Christmas concert "Christmas in Vienna" from the Wiener Konzerthaus enchants every year with classic Christmas carols and popular Christmas music from all over the world. At this year's concert, the Austrian soprano Beate Ritter, the French mezzo-soprano Marianne Crebassa, the Canadian-German tenor Michael Schade and the Danish baritone Bo Skovhus together with the Vienna Boys' Choir and the Vienna Singing Academy will set the mood for Christmas. The voices are accompanied by the ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna under the direction of Sascha Götzel. Felix Breisach is responsible for the image direction.
Still my favourite Christmas concert. Great variety of classical and pop seasonal favourites. Everything about this presentation is first class, from the musical selections to the lighting and camera angles.
Best of all, the performers all seem to be enjoying it as well!

Canadian 🇨🇦 tenor Michael Schade started with Schubert , Offertorium @ 36:50 G F Handel Every Valley Shall be Exalted, from the Messiah. @1:00:30 Canadian Ojibwa Christmas Carol known as the Huron Carol sung as a duet with the orchestra and choir. @ 1:13 all were singing and I was so into it, the program to the end! La tradición de estos conciertos en Viena llena un vacío a la tradición en Argentina. Falta en este país como en el resto de latino américa la difusión de la música clásica que llega al alma y nos da la esperanza de renovar nuestro espíritu . No te detengas Viena, sigue la tradición.

I couldn't help myself watching this video bc there's this young man fairly at the back of the orchestra. He looked so despondent and coughed alot I found it a bit funny. Overall though I enjoyed the video very much.

VERY TALENTED MUSICIANS...THE BEST OF NUTCRACKERS I'VE HEARD...THE ONLY ISSUE I HAD WAS WITH THE TWO 'DOWN-IN-THE-MOUTH' MUSICIANS AT THE BACK - BOTH, WAITING FOR THEIR PIECES, TO PLAY THEIR PARTS, IN THE CONCERT...YOU'D THINK A PLEASANT COUNTENANCE COULD BE HAD BY THE CONCERT PLAYERS...KNOWING THAT PEOPLE ARE OBSERVING THEM...IF I WAS THE CONDUCTOR, I WOULD EXHORT ALL THE MEMBERS TO LEAVE THEIR PROBLEMS AT HOME & PUT A SMILE ON THEIR FACES AS THEY PUT ON THIS CHRISTMAS CONCERT...ONE OF THE TWO YOUNG MEN I WAS VIEWING...I WAS CONCERNED THAT HE MIGHT GET UP & WALK OUT...HE LOOKED THAT DISTURBED...OR BREAK DOWN IN FRONT OF EVERYONE...ONE OTHER THING...I, PERSONALLY, COULD DO W/O ALL THE LATIN MUSIC INFLUENCES, BUT, THAT'S JUST ME...I LIKE MY CHRISTMAS HYMNS & THAT'S WHAT I COME FOR...VERY TIGHT BAND & GOOD CONDUCTOR...;)
Es geht um Menschlichkeit am Leben & nicht falsche von mir denken....Ich war Zufall an der EZH am Morgen früh ohne Navigation Techniker brauchen....Wenn die Ventilen App. mit Binne & Wespeln noch dazu ....Ob die Iron Männers & Fräuen überleben können sein....?
