Trailsport should have a plug in the trunk! Isnt thisbthe one you are supposed to take camping?

I got a 2024 sport and I love it. I will probably always own a ridgeline at this point.
The I-VTM4 system is amazing, the trunk and side opening tailgate are brilliant. I could go on.
However this trail sport is the laziest off-road package. Didn’t give the vehicle a lift. Didn’t change the front and rear fascia to get a better approach and departure angle.
I realize they are trying to squeeze out the most amount of money on the current design before they redesign for 2025 or 2026, but I hope no one buys it. It’s truly lazy. Some new shocks and strut bars, different grill, orange stitching, and some skid plates.
With that said I really do love my truck. I got a better lease on this than a mid-trim maverick with the luxury package and FX4 off-road package. And it drives better too. I didn’t need quite such a big truck, but I really love it.
I hope Honda keeps the next generation just as practical but with a hybrid setup. And not just a power hybrid like the Tacoma iforce max. One that actually increases efficiency.

The trailsport is a RTL-E in my eyes. I’m hoping for a hybrid as well. I’ve received so many request for a hybrid ridgeline.

@@ShakeemWalkaround I totaled an 04 RWD ranger on a frozen wet spot on a clear night. I was not getting in a RWD biased 4x4 truck after that. So it was between the AWD maverick and ridgeline. In the end the $120 less a month and 5,000 more miles made the ridgeline win out, even with the worse mpg. 550 a month for a maverick and 10,000 miles a year. $430 for 15,000 for a maverick.
I just wish Honda and other car companies would get their act together with hybrids. We just skipped past them to full EV. It is such a great stepping stone to buy time to research battery tech and make our oil and emissions go further.
Call me crazy but I paid attention in ecology, chemistry, and physics. Every time energy changes form it’s about 10% efficient. Our grid is fossil fuel (chemical) you use it to charge your Battery making electrical, and then the electrical turns into mechanical to power the motor and wheels.
Regular ICE is gasoline (chemical) to mechanical. One less step.
Not to mention the amount of minerals in one BEV battery vs a hybrid. Toyota release a report for every 1 BEV they can make 6 PHEV or 90, yes 90 HEV.
Obviously I’m procrastinating at the gym as I type this. Lol.
So in summary get a hybrid ridgeline please hybrid by the time my lease is up. And make it for us practical folks and not the meatheads.

I love my Ridgeline but at Easter in 3rd grade I ate a candy that color and threw up all afternoon. Sorry Honda how about a nice green or better Blue like Ford or ram.😝

Why does Honda, and others, always put these beautiful colors on lower trims. I'm assuming that Honda will have a new Passport and Ridgeline out, the new Pilot interior is much better.

Redesign for the passport and Ridgleine is due. I’m assuming for 2025 we should see the change

@@ShakeemWalkaround I think Passport is next year, but I expect Ridgeline won't get a full re-design until 2027

Trailsport is a downgrade from the rtle lol

      How ?

    • @Plee92
      @Plee92 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

@ShakeemWalkaround kind of a downgrade. From no bed audio to no bed power. No USB A in the backseat area. Just a small downgrade. Yes I know skid plates. Which can be added. Once added to rtle it's a upgraded trailsport. Honda tune suspension doesn't mean anything yet not unless u know more about it. Don't get me wrong I have the rtle. O wait I believe the rtle has 8 speakers while trialsport has 7

@@Plee92 In my opinion the only thing it is missing is a 1.5in lift. I don't need a bed outlet. I dubt I would ever use it personally. Most of the time when I got camping they have outlets somewhere. Now if your out in the wilderness im sure it would be nice but I have a battery pack for that. It really needs a lift tho. Besides that I think it is a great truck to daily
