Thank you for the detailed walkthrough and explanation of each of the features. Also liked at the end where you showed the different trim levels and packages. Well done.
This was exactly what I was looking for! thanks for going into detail about the features, only video I could find of someone actually using the power folding mirrors. Love the explanation about the difference between the 24 and 23.
Shakeem...just WOW. What a SUPERB VIDEO. This is hands down THE best Ridgeline Black Edition review I watched...and boy have I watched MANY!!! I learned A LOT! Thank you sir!!
Excellent & detailed overview. I am a Ridgeline fan. The RTL is probably the best “value” but I don’t like the chrome trim. LOL, I am perfectly fine with the look of the bast Sport, but I would miss the leather seats and my wife likes a sunroof. We are narrowing it down between the TrailSport and the Black Edition. Will probably go TrailSport, but the Black Edition does offer more features. My wife likes the diffuse sky blue in the TrailSport. I like the silver, but I am perfectly OK with the diffuse sky blue. I wish the Black Edition would come in the silver. I plan to add the black overlays to the “Ridgeline” and “Honda” emblems on the tail gate. Very nice look. Great mid-size pickup truck. We are shopping all midsize trucks for towing a small camper (2900 lbs loaded). I want 1500 lbs of payload. The Frontier and Tacoma are great trucks, but weak on payload. I will compare the Ridgeline to all other midsize trucks, but the Ridgeline really suits our needs. Shakeem, I will check out your TrailSport video as well. Thanks again!
I appreciate your input. Thank you for sharing. Ridgelines are the perfect gentlemen’s truck. Even though I don't think much of the black edition interior, I'll still choose that trim. The trailsport is a great trim too but the RTL is the volume seller
Nice review. I am going to get this exact truck in the spring. I really like the changes. The only negative is the gloss black around the gear selector. It will scratch easily and show dust.
A have a 2017 Silverado high country with 29,000 miles and a 2018 Lincoln MKX with 44,000 miles both in excellent condition. I'm a single retired male. I need to downsize and would love to trade them in on a new Black Edition. But every dealer doesn't want to do an honest transaction because both vehicles combined 😊exceed the value of the new Ridgeline...what can I do ?
@@ShakeemAndCars Thank you for the idea. But i heard some people have had trouble with carmax not coming through with the money in their accounts AFTER they took the vehicle
I purchased a loaded Frontier Pro4X last year and I'm disappointed overall. I really didn't need that level of capability and transmission programming and payload capacity are terrible. I should have looked at the Ridgeline before buying that truck. I thought I needed proper 4WD, but I definitely don't. I'm considering trading the P4X for a Black Edition if I don't get hosed on the deal.
It gives me that same vibe as the 2017 Ridgelines basic appearance. all trims . Why did they take the trunkbed/tailgate audio option out it should be optional. Why is there no ELITE edition yet ? The pilot elite model had multiple benefits compared to blackedition trim or lower trims. I recommend the shifter nob. If you spill a beverage in the area of those buttons thats definitely a electrical issue Where is the classic CD 💿 disc player 🤔. That should still be optional as well . The Ridgelines still need more refreshed 😮 options there's no auto rain sensors yet . Why can't you add custom details for your interior colors . I'm still not impressed by or with this model as shared . I'm looking for bigger wheels at least 20" wheels 245/60/R20 tires as a factory truck size should be included with a lightweight truck as such. There's nothing extra to add for performance a cold 🥶 air intake + small supercharger would help. It's too basic for 50K. I see they added there version of updates/Upgrades. But it's definitely that same energy format from 2017 . Nothing really bigger yet or adds extra performance? The trunk bed needs a additional 1#foot of space longer and 1#foot wider exterior space from bumper to bumper driver side to passenger. Of course it's a midsized truck. At least add a body kit to create a more aggressive advanced approach to the make and model . Honda need to review some of the comments more often . The best products are developed by those who criticize the need for certain options. I still haven't seen or heard the options of adding a 3" inch lift kit to help with ground clearance and height. Especially for the trailsport edition models. Locations with 8-12inches of snow or Rock 🪨 climbing and swampy terrain thick grass/ creekside areas you definitely need the ability to perform throughout your travels. So that's why I'm looking for a Huge rugged enhanced version. Heavy duty shocks/ springs should be a major factor for motorists if you agree . You buy . You want a basic soft kiss version that's what you buy. But where's the real reality version of off roading trailsport fully equipped elite mountain eco
I said mountain ECO. That should come fully equipped starting at around $55K+ due to the accessories you desire. But huge struts and shocks/ metal skid plates like the trailsport edition plus more aggressive performance parts 🎉. More torque bigger black wheel and tire package offering a wide body kit . Plus a panoramic moon roof with racks that bolt from the truck bed to the roof rack
WOW! Well, I can tell you this.... Honda may do some of those options you mentioned, but they'll never do them all, or even most. But the good thing is, with all of the options/features you griped about it not having....at least you have 5 or so other midsized/compact truck manufacturers that may suit your desires "much" better. Good luck, Ty! 👌
Gotta say this is the best and much needed detailed walkthrough of the 2024 Ridgeline so far.. and mad props!!
Thank you I appreciate you for watching
I agree 💯
Best detail by anyone, thank you

Thank you for tuning in
Just got one in black! Love it and the new infotainment system works much better, get ride, my 4th one😎
The infotainment system was over due !
@@ShakeemAndCars yes it was for sure 👍
This new Honda Ridgeline pickup truck should've be my daily truck also bestie!

Thank you so much! Description was perfect...

Oh my gosh. What a fantastic review. Thank you so much
Thank you, I appreciate you for watching and commenting
Great overview, you really know this car better than most reviewers on YT I've seen. Great job.
Thank you i appreciate your feedback
great review! took time and let people see everything. wish they had ventilated seats in the trial sport also.
Honda like to keep ventilated seats on the top trim. That would be cool to have though

I agree about the piano black
You Killed it Bro, excellent work! ….Yes I’m doing my research on a Ridgeline …
I appreciate it. It’s a very good truck
Excellent review. Very helpful, especially to us Gen 1 Ridgeline owners
Thank you I am glad I was able to help
Very, very thorough and informative. Thank you very much, sir!
I appreciate your comment thank you for watching
Thanks for sharing, I think this will be my next truck.
That’s a good choice thank you for watching
Thanks for the nice walk around!
Your welcome
Nice walkthrough! I'm excited to get my new RTL, but this makes me think the Black edition might've been the way to go...
Congratulations 🎉 enjoy your ridgeline

Sell them to Carmax. They are usually high on trade in
@@ShakeemAndCars Thank you for the idea. But i heard some people have had trouble with carmax not coming through with the money in their accounts AFTER they took the vehicle
@kenmoats3654 that sucks they usually are very aggressive when it comes to values
Nice would you be able to do a thorough review like this on the trail sport as well?
Yes I’m waiting to get one
Is the current year model V6 plagued with vcm issues?
I am not sure because I have not had any customers with that problem.

I have a 2020 Frontier Pro-4X. I skipped out on the ridgeline because it was too big for me.
I use the in-beded speakers frequently.
I thought it was a cool feature
Amazing review bro.
Thank you 👌🏾
@@ShakeemAndCarsWelcome dude.
Are the mirrors power folding
Great question and does vehicle have puddle lights for night
Does rear passengers have a vents?

Thank you sorry I missed that
Heated steering wheel?
That’s correct
I was hoping you would have operated the 540 watt stereo, the base stereo isn’t all that great
It’s hard to actually hear the quality through the video. It’s definitely something to hear in person

An angled infotainment screen away from your face causes a huge glare, dumb design.
No road test? Come on man - lol.
I dont road test in any of my videos. Just Walkarounds
Still not a fan of the newer design. Liked them better when the roof line swept back.
I like everything except the gloss black wheels. Too monotone and boring.
They got rid of the in bed speakers, thats the best feature. LAME
It was a cool feature
Ridgeline is not compact its midsize
Interior still outdated compare to other trucks in the market.
True it’s still based on the 17 Ridgeline. 25 should be a refresh
Drove a new Tacoma, not impressed with the interior. The Ridgeline has a much better interior. For me, not outdated.
