I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one making connections with FNC. Like, most people made the connection with crystal stasis but there's SO MUCH stuff. "Oracle Drives" being "Books of Prophecies" in Japanese, "Focus" also sharing the same name as the roles given by the Master. Hearts being made of Chaos and returning to it upon death (just replace Chaos with darkness). The eyes of Etro being similar to the MoM's gazing eye. It can't be a coincidence. I would also recommend delving into Type-0 since there has been some connections made by some people, notably the foretellers being similar to some members of class zero and the Daybreak Town pendulum being a 1:1 rectreation of a glass window from Type-0. Amazing video btw!
OH yes, I plan on making my way through all of the FNC games 😈 Started with 15 (though it's connections to FNC are minimal, it started out as a Nomura project and that was enough to interest me). KH4 would be an amazing opening into more FF and SE properties overall. Considering Quadratum's likeness to Shibuya, I personally think we may very well meet the TWEWY characters again. As for the MoM, it wouldn't surprise me if Nomura has left hints of his role in his other works, especially the unfinished Versus XIII, considering how much lore is built up around him with so little context.
There are serious scary similarities between Kingdom Hearts and the Fabula Nova Crystallis saga. Seriously look into Type-0 and Agito as well. Someone on Tumblr wrote an entire document on the similarities between characters/world of Type-0 and Agito to Kingdom Hearts. It is a super interesting read, and made me firmly believe that Kingdom Hearts is definitely somehow inspired by the Fabula Nova Crystallis saga.
Ohh yeah, the Clocktower from Agito XIII/Type-0 is the same one from Union Cross right? I remember the stories were also very similar too. How exciting!
There's too much Latin and mythology introduced in KHUX and KH3 for there not to be these parallels. Nomura is really high-fiving his own work for the next chapter in Kingdom Hearts. I'm super excited for it, I just hope it doesn't become a retelling of another story shaped as Kingdom Hearts. Though he did say we'll still be able to recognize it as a Kingdom Hearts game, so I'm still hyped.
Fun fact in japanese version of Final Fantasy XIII we have the same concept of heart, soul and body. In japanese version when Lightning faces Bhunivelse Lightning: "You took Hope soul, but what did you do with his heart" Bhunivelse: "Your hearts are invisible to me"

There was a girl who time traveled and changed fate / history and was cursed by to become a demon and she lost her name and lives by doors and gates and able to summon people from other worlds including Sora and Cloud

WOFF'S Mirages and kh's data and dark versions of characters. Both games have alternative characters of main character that are possessed or may have another forms from Crystals Final fantasy Dissidia similarities. What drives me is that the story of Fabula Nova Crystallis and most of the Final Fantasy universes/worlds are heavily influenced by Gnostic texts. Shin Megami Tensei and Persona are the same way, but even more directly as the final boss is literally Yaldabaoth in P5 (Yaldabaoth would be the spiritual equivalent of Bhunivelze here). In a way they are telling a very truthful tale, not in terms of what really happened but in terms of what our spiritual masters have uncovered over the years.
I've been reading into Hermeticism and you're on the nose with saying they're inspired by Gnostic ideas. They literally refer to Hermes as the Master of Masters and also his 7 principals as doors that require a magic key! I plan on making a video about this but man my mind is being blown nonstop this past year

There was also speculation floating around that Xion has a resemblance to skuld, which in norse mythology is a part of a triad goddesses of fate, particularly future in the case of skuld. And skuld is sorta referenced to as a “goddess” coming from the light of kingdom hearts by chirithy in union cross (you actually used this cutscene in this video :)) and idk if this is just an odd observation bc Xion has an uncanny intuition about the actual kingdom hearts moon in KH3, when everyone’s in the graveyard trying to keep an opening within kingdom hearts, Xion is the first one to notice any changes within kingdom hearts itself and then tells others about it. Tbh I think Xion has a more implied role than just being a replica of soras memory of Kairi. The resemblances of her and skuld are too similar and she’s just a super unique character

Perhaps guiding Sora to a safe place to protect him from MoM plans (she’s considered a traitor) in Chain of memories, though she’s a unique nobody, she does have this unique trait that covets both Sora and Riku’s attention: greed. The sin in which Ava is personified of. There’s another theory that the Lech in KH3 is Avas heartless, theorized to be leading Sora to a safe place much like she was trying to do for the union leaders. You also see in the cutscenes for the lech that Sora IS in a Crystal stasis form. So in theory.... Ava’s heart rests within Kairi (who is suspected to be her grandmother) namine is still Kairis nobody, but takes after the appearance and personality of Ava, a defiant and unique nobody (much like the case of roxas and Sora and Ventus) The lech WOULD be avas heartless, having a way of controlling soras heart and the memories that build it. Perhaps the reasons why she didn’t show up with Luxu at the end is because she wasn’t fully recompleted, being that Namine is in a vessel and both heartless and nobody need to be destroyed to be recompleted, thus being defiant and unique to her own strong will to defy MoM’s plans, covertly working along with Luxu to go against MoM plans. This is perhaps why Sora though referenced as a mere boy is such an unexpected threat to xehanort/luxu/MoM is because the fact that the “future” of kingdom hearts literally lies within him, being that skuld is some agent of the future of such as subject X. We know subject X and Kairi were both experimented on by Xehanort when he worked under Ansem and knowing that there may have been attempts of “Norting” Skuld in order to have some hold over kingdom hearts, but failing in the process (a good leader know he has no control over destiny and accepts it) heart and body separates, perhaps skulds heart found her way into Sora, and perhaps her nobody was experimented on if contained as a means to make replicas. This explains Xions similar appearance to skuld but also has Soras eyes, much like roxas looks like Ven but has more of soras facial features. And Xions personality acts as an Anti form of Skuld, reversing Soras future by containing all of what makes Sora him, his memories and past, something that Namine would need to have to give him a future (the reasons why she has difficulty piecing his memories together when Xion was in exsistence) this also could explain why Skuld may not be recompleted yet is because Xion has a vessel. I think the only way possible for either Ava or Skuld to completely exist from Namine and Xion is Soras unique ability to give life to vessels separate from the hearts that they were molded from (I.e. roxas and Ventus)

Ff13 had so much cool stuff. The gameplay was just so boring and the story was unnecessarily complicated with dull characters… I really only liked lightning
I also had some pretty negative feelings towards FF13 before investing time into understanding it. Hopefully this doesn't come off as argumentative, cause that's not my intent. This is just how my feelings changed after diving into the lore: FF13 is the world building needed for 13-2 (though I think if 13-2 was the introduction to the series then I think people would love 13. The intro sequence was insane) Lightning is as badass if not more so than Cloud Hope's character development is great. Cry baby > Defenseless child > Finds a role model in Lightning and becomes eager to fiend for himself. Snow isn't exactly my favorite, but I can appreciate him being what Lightning needed to see her own flaws. Sahz unfortunately his motives are revealed a little late, but the foreshadowing done was great Vanille & Fang are far from dull but I wouldn't want to spoil The only thing I see being complicated is the understanding of fal'cie, l'cie and cieth. Think of cie as a root word and it's pretty simple from there. Fal and l being prefixes to that word. while th is a suffix. Fal(cie) = Master l(cie) = Servant (cie)th = failure We can apply meaning to the word "cie" if we wanted. I think the best fit would be "Lifeform" Sometimes they'll refer to Fal'cie as Pulse Fal'cie or Cocoon Fal'cie, but that's simply referring to where the Master is from, their home. There's not much I can say for the gameplay, it's easy to hate on an auto battle system. But I did enjoy strategizing what roles worked well together~

We know subject X and Kairi were both experimented on by Xehanort when he worked under Ansem and knowing that there may have been attempts of “Norting” Skuld in order to have some hold over kingdom hearts, but failing in the process (a good leader know he has no control over destiny and accepts it) heart and body separates, perhaps skulds heart found her way into Sora, and perhaps her nobody was experimented on if contained as a means to make replicas. This explains Xions similar appearance to skuld but also has Soras eyes, much like roxas looks like Ven but has more of soras facial features. And Xions personality acts as an Anti form of Skuld, reversing Soras future by containing all of what makes Sora him, his memories and past, something that Namine would need to have to give him a future (the reasons why she has difficulty piecing his memories together when Xion was in exsistence) this also could explain why Skuld may not be recompleted yet is because Xion has a vessel.
I think the only way possible for either Ava or Skuld to completely exist from Namine and Xion is Soras unique ability to give life to vessels separate from the hearts that they were molded from (I.e. roxas and Ventus)

Ff13 had so much cool stuff. The gameplay was just so boring and the story was unnecessarily complicated with dull characters… I really only liked lightning
I also had some pretty negative feelings towards FF13 before investing time into understanding it.
Hopefully this doesn't come off as argumentative, cause that's not my intent. This is just how my feelings changed after diving into the lore:
FF13 is the world building needed for 13-2 (though I think if 13-2 was the introduction to the series then I think people would love 13. The intro sequence was insane)
Lightning is as badass if not more so than Cloud
Hope's character development is great. Cry baby > Defenseless child > Finds a role model in Lightning and becomes eager to fiend for himself.
Snow isn't exactly my favorite, but I can appreciate him being what Lightning needed to see her own flaws.
Sahz unfortunately his motives are revealed a little late, but the foreshadowing done was great

The only thing I see being complicated is the understanding of fal'cie, l'cie and cieth.
Think of cie as a root word and it's pretty simple from there. Fal and l being prefixes to that word. while th is a suffix.
Fal(cie) = Master
l(cie) = Servant
(cie)th = failure
We can apply meaning to the word "cie" if we wanted. I think the best fit would be "Lifeform"
Sometimes they'll refer to Fal'cie as Pulse Fal'cie or Cocoon Fal'cie, but that's simply referring to where the Master is from, their home.
There's not much I can say for the gameplay, it's easy to hate on an auto battle system. But I did enjoy strategizing what roles worked well together~
