    I'll be 100% honest: I understand where the korean girls are coming from. We all know these entertainment companies put lots of money and time into their MVs. It's a mini-production of sorts, just under 5 minutes. American pop is different stylistically, and sometimes the videos are just for fun and not meant to be taken seriously. So basically, they just don't get it. A few of the girls' reactions put me off, but I DO understand. That said, I also understand that Americans are the EXACT SAME WAY when they view kpop videos. So it kind of goes both ways

    The girl in the grey and black shirt actually paid attention and gave thought before she responded. The others just didn't get it but they will when they idols start doing the same dance because that what Korean idols performance come from is America and America music mainstream is HIP HOP....It cheap because they didn't change location? it a video not a movie... The comment about saying the same thing over,over again. If I hear sorry, sorry,sorry by Super Junior one more time people will be sorry....

    • @86yimhj
      @86yimhj 9 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      +barstarks Many K-pop artists nowadays spend hundreds thousand to a million dollars for making a music video. so it isn't wrong to say what the girls saw was apparently much lower budget one than what K-pop offers.

    • @kuroichan101

      +barstarks Actually the video is cheap. Every film should have good cinematography. You clearly dont know anything about film nor music videos(i take film classes). Its clear to tell that its cheap. ps super junior is awesom

    I don't like the girl in black. She isn't really seeing the video for what it is. She's probably not that into things like this, but I'm not either. The way she kept saying it was repetitive, i think thats the point of the video, it's a video that's supposed to bring people all together to dance. I love the girl that spoke open mindedly and didn't just view upon what she just saw.

    I would have liked it if it was explained why this video is so popular and why it's so "easy" (same lyrics and so on). That this song was made so everyone could dance to it and sing along :)

    • @vashthafellomen816
      @vashthafellomen816 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +Niikeyy You are right. Basically it's an easy dance to follow so kids and old people can do it. You have American politicians doing it. No one is claiming this is artistic, it's just another pop dance craze in America similar to how Gangham style was a craze for a minute.

    Awe come on. How can you hate the catchy-ness of Watch me (whip/nae nae)? I can literally sit and watch videos and vines of people doing this all day. Every time it comes on I automatically start dancing! It's so fun and enjoyable to all ages and unlike most rap/hip hop, it is very suitable for little kids.

      Well yeah the dance isn't special or anything. One of the reasons why this song is very popular is because of how simple and easy the dance is. Anyone can do it. Go on Instagram or any social medical website and you'll see millions of Americans doing it

    Tbh I think the 'oh he's black' comment was just natural. Cos tbh if I was them and I was reacting to a random video I've never seen before and then the singer was Asian I would probably say 'oh he's Chinese' (this was before I got into Kpop and realised really and truly that not every Asian is Chinese)
    Anyway, I would say this because to me it would be a bit random cos where I'm from the majority of singers are not Asian and so it makes sense for them to say he's black cos there aren't rlly any black people in Korean music

I even joined in, there's no meaning in this song, it's not meant to be serious it's just a dance song that gets everyone hyped in a good way.

      +Michele Powlesland do you know how many times black people or white, call them "chinese" or japanese, even they aren't? she just say that the singer is black what's the problem?

    • @dxubty

      You're the one who's being racist not everyone in the world is American/British where there have been black people for a long time. ln asian countries black people are seldom seen. So you're the one who's being culturally insensitive.
