Leave Trini since the late 80s and I can still remember that smell on Beetham Estates, partly responsible are enterprises like CGA aka coconut growers association, Fernandes Distillers, Landfill etc. I never live there but pass through many times. Listening to these young men brought back memories, when I use to utter the same things, "the government is the problem". Until I came to the realization that there is no progress without change. Initiate change, move, protest, or some other form of proactivity. Anyhow Chris do yuh thing. Bless up.

I guess Chris feels because he could get access to the Beetham he could change things with these people. Let him just change citizenship, lolz they will run him out of town.They always talk to the outside people because they perceive them as a non threat! The main aim of organized gangs is to cause fear in people and establish some authority and control over an area..thus gang wars! Maybe Chris feels he is special at this point.

One thing I must say is that the government has built lovely looking ghettos. A paradise in appearance to the ones that I have seen in my travels. Although I am from Trinidad, I never knew Beetham was so big and developed.

Trinidad has some very intelligent people they definitely have the power to turn things around
They get education free at all levels. They should try to rise in a different way. They need to get into politics instead of just talking. When the other government party wins, they don't care about them, just their own people. We need another Eric Williams to change Trinidad again like he did when I was a child. We had a lot of ambition then. Things just changed again in the last 30 years. Our youth then had a different attitude. They keep blaming the government. I wonder how many of them are pursuing the free education that is available to get them qualified to either move out of the area, leave the country or get highly qualified to get a good job. Just my opinion because I am from a different era. That place used to be cardboard boxes and tin pan houses when I was a chikd. The same government transformed it. There are lots of immigrants who came to live there in the early days. That is where economics come in. I would adopt any of those children if adoption was an easy affair.

I would definitely love to visit the Beetham, Lavantille, Success Village, Sangre Grande etc. Lived Trinidad for years and never visited those areas.

What's hilarious is that I'm 1000% positive Chris does his research and due diligence. I'm sure he knows that 90% of the things these guys tell him in these videos are complete bullshit lmao. Chris knows it, and every Trini knows it. They're not going to self snitch or incriminate themselves on camera, that's just stupid. The only time they speak truth is when talking about the Government or how growing up in the ghetto is. I grew up in the ghetto too, in gang territory, so I know. You need to have a bit of understanding…. We start school at 5 years old, finish at 17-18years that’s 12-13 years of your life where “people know where you from” meaning whatever area you are from. I understand where they say getting a job shows off where you are and makes you an easy target. I’m sure I can go to your profile and figure out where you work, and that’s enough for me to ambush you. I’m not from a gang and I’m not from any of these areas and I went to university and I can’t even get a job that pays me for the amount of studies I did. The country is corrupted and it starts with the government. Government (Including who should protect and serve), adults then children. We are all to blame, but it start somewhere.
If you want to educate people, you need to start with educating yourself. People won't hear you if you don't understand where they're coming from.
