I'm very inspired by Syd Carpenter's perspective. Her mention about not feeling like a master craftsperson because she is constantly learning is a refreshing reminder that even the most skilled artists continually evolve.
She clearly has a wealth of knowledge and experience and her work is stunning and unique. I am particularly interested in the stories behind each piece and would love to learn more about her inspirations. Truly an inspiring artist with a lot to say, both through her words and her work.

I really appreciate her memorializing the heroic ventures with her art. It draws you in to the joy as well as the struggles of the farmers. Each captures the singularity of each persons efforts to stay and hold their land. I wish I could visit a large installation of her art and hear her explain what she has depicted.
