It’s a punch card machine where she punches out the words on paper and then you feed the paper through the knitting machine. She has an older one. It’s about as wide as an electric keyboard. A company called Brother makes them.
It´s a machine for knitting, is a semiindustrial process. This machine is from 1970/1980 you can found someone in second hand or vintage shops, but they are too difficult to use.
