Hi Mira I have a real hard time believing that your viewers don’t stick around for the end I find you entrancing and simply cannot even pause the video! You’re a joy to watch and I think you should do more mini paintings whether or not they are for ornaments or decorations for doll houses, I’m sure I’ve mentioned that’s how I got my start painting miniature landscapes for my sisters and cousins doll houses! Of course it may have just been a way for my grandfather to keep an irritating little 10-year-old boy out of his hair! I can still remember him saying go help Grandma with painting the pictures and wallpaper for the houses, that’s really how I started painting.
My family and I celebrate the 12 days of Yule, which begin on the 21st of December. One of our traditions is making ornaments and decorations, we have so many crocheted and hand crafted ornaments, and each one represents something we love. It makes the whole time feel warm and loving. One of my favorite things to do for Yule is making wreaths and yule logs. My entire backyard is a forest and holly grows in some spots, and of course there are plenty of fallen trees. I really enjoyed this video, thank you for sharing your craft with us, you make the world a little brighter. Happy holidays ❤️
I painted wood ornaments for all my family this year, and they came out better than I thought. Each one was custom to the couple/ family, and my stepbrother and his wife already opened theirs and love them. I also got each of my kids to paint wooden ornaments for everyone, and of course those who have already opened theirs have loved those as well. I totally got the idea from you last year! And I sketched the ideas in my sketchbook, so I have the memories forever. ❤ Merry Christmas and happy holidays!

I love the hot chocolate one because that can just be wintery, and less Christmasy. And the flower one reminds me of the summer Christmases we gave here. Everything is bright and hot and beautiful.

Here's an ambitious idea: do a painting, maybe a larger size, that shows an eye with a reflection in it. I'm thinking something like: Santa with a reflection of a Christmas tree, or Santa with a bitten cookie or mug of cocoa, or a child's eye with Santa reflected or Christmas tree or a snowman. You get the idea. The "canvas" has to be large enough to give a clue to whose eye we're looking at and also accommodate an eye large enough to hold a recognizable reflection.
We do celebrate Christmas🎄, even if we are Indian. I was in Columbus (yay!) for a few years, and I loved it! The way you guys celebrate Christmas we celebrate Diwali around the fall season, One of our biggest festivals!🪔
I can't imagine what it's like to have a cold Christmas, let alone snow. Christmas for me is summer holidays, family water fights, hot sun and too much food. I'm Australian. 😊

Really bad Christmas movies are on of my favourite things about this time of year. In England, my TV provider puts on a special channel for these movies, and you know they're going to be SO bad! 😂 I love all of these ornaments (especially the eye - I can't draw eyes for the life of me! Or rather, I can't draw two decent ones 🤣), but I think the hot chocolate one is my very favourite. 😊
Just sitting with you while you paint is so relaxing. I really love the soft colours of the tree ornament. Here in Australia we are in summer. We have much influence from the northern hemisphere, with lots of snow and cold weather images. It seems so out of context. Our family festive season is focused on the Christian story.

Years ago we added black plastic cauldrons to our tradition, as we were all getting too many stocking staffers 😆. I know a lot of people won't approve but you asked and I'm not ashamed. We put out stockings and they get filled with little treats, something fun, and something we need. Also an orange. 🤣

Yeah! Wonderful video! Painting little disks are fun! Combine with Christmas movies, like Die Hard 1&2 or maybe Elf & Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer? I made some coasters after painting I used Resin to protect the disks and I just taped the bottom and coated the top and sides, works great! Wonderful video Mira, keep them coming!
Ooh, this was just what I needed to see today! I have been struggling to come up with an idea for a Secret Santa gift for someone who has very different interests to me. They really like birds, so I think I'll paint some wood slices with various native birds in little santa hats, and make them into tree ornaments. Thanks Mira :D
