The facet sort of worked before the nerfs because lancing the backline without having to commit worked wonders but now 5-6 slotted and pl still barely tickles the supports feels bad.
Well because back then I can get triple kill just by skill Q from far away. I even can play the entire mid-late game T3 tower push in low ground, and yet the enemy HG is in chaos because I spam my Q. As someone who played PL. This nerf is pretty fair in my opinion 😅
this the only time i can remember someone uploading vid they have lost to. i feel like im watching it live and dont know if he won or not. it feels great.
You did a lot and the game was definitely hard like you outlined. Probably doesn't play out any differently if you go Aghs, but Aghs is still one of PL's best items. It kickstarts his illusion spawn rate, it tanks him up, it drastically speeds up his farming since he can just Q camps/waves and leave. I still think it's the go to item almost every game. 91% of D2PT is there for a reason. It's as necessary almost every game as BKB is on PA. It just does so much for him. That being said... yeah, the draft was just really hard. Even if you go Aghs and get a fuckton of illusions in fights, they have an insane amount of AoE to kill them very quickly. Jakiro Dual Breath/Macropyre, Venge Wave of Terror, Dawn W & Q, Jugg Mjollnir/spin, Snapfire ult + Gleipnir Shredder.
It was a good try itemizing for the new facet. But it's a trap going for damage earlier without focusing on PL's strength - the illusion. I felt you were too concentrating on your damage output of the main hero. You should have won the game hands down when your team was 21-6. You had all the great live analysis of the game which is really hard to pull off under high pressure. You made all the right call split-pushing and forced your opponents tp back to diverse the pressure they put on your own lane. As a result, your teammate was able to kill 1-2 enemies who were left behind. However, as your enemies group up 5, Agh is the exact item you need as it multiplies your clones x5 as well as allows you to split push more effectively. It doesn't matter if there are lots of AoE that the other team can throw at your illus. You can always press Q for a new army instantly. After 1-2 round, they will have no mana left. PL always wins attrition warfare. Regardless, it was an entertained video. Thanks for uploading. Cheers
I've been heavily struggling to make the new PL innate work, it just feels like you have to put in so much farm and time for something that other heroes can do with less farm and far earlier in the game. Also the inability to control juxtapose illusions to bait or provide vision is a massive turn off.
Not played much, but I think the divergent illusions just pick a target. If it does, they don't pick a new target and become still. Maybe that's why he's doing that.
So his innate ability is a nerf right? Since if you get an item with i.e 100 dmg it gets reverted into base but you lose 35? Am I understanding this correctly?
I don't think so cause with it being base damage the illusions get it too as opposed to just the hero, if I'm understanding how illusions scale off your hero
It’s something like, 3+ illusions also hitting a target, means net positive. Illusions hitting targets by themselves, like with the aghs poke shenanigans, buffed overall
It's a buff definitely since PL doesn't build any bonus damage items anyways and he will always play around illusions. This buff however isn't nearly enough to make PL good this patch tho.
I think u should have bought agh right after Khanda. I think in this game, PL couldn't really hard commit to a fight, u would just get cc by jakiro or bursted by snap. if u had gotten agh, u could have kite around and build up illusions by just spamming spirit lance
That's the deal with the Divergent facet. It has better damage and creates more spread out damage in a teamfight or while farming but at the cost of control over Juxtapose illusions and them dying whenever a target is nowhere to be found. This hampers PL's pushing power to only his Lance and Doppelganger illusions.
No, because there's an actual benefit to using Divergence over Convergence. Divergence gives you +2% to illusion damage (used to be +4% until very recently). So you lose the ability to force your illusions onto a single target, or in some cases, to move them away to stack camps as you're killing them. But the benefit is that you get a straight damage buff. There is no reason to ever take Faithful Followers on Visage if you can micro the followers because there is absolutely no benefit in doing it. It is just "less work". PL gets something out of it. Visage doesn't. Also you barely ever micro PL illusions anyway, so it's not really comparable.
As a player that already ignored controlling my illusions as pl I love this facet. I still don't play much pl but when I do this is the go-to.
Thanks for putting the facet in the thumbnail so I don’t have to go look up what it does
What a 1k mmr move at the end :D

I genuinely can't believe that Dawnbreaker lived through that last spirit lance at the end.
The build would have worked with a composition that could initiate and coms that could prepare.
Phantom Lancer, one of my favorite carries to have played in Dota 2!

I think mageslayer wouldve gone hard here. Unless illu dont proc the debuff. Spawning randomly effectively applied debuff to every enemy in the fight
with enemies pulling heals straight out their asses maybe khanda should have been replaced with Skadi along the way?
Exactly my thoughts. Skadi makes Dawn heal useless.
Aghanim should've been bought in the first 3 slots

Wow Purge. 3 Games posted on 3 days?!? I feel spoiled! Keep up the good work my man!

You spend a lot of time killing things that your illusions will kill by themselves in this game.

A buff, because illusions cannot make use of bonus damage, only base damage. You go net positive with your hero's focus.
I don't think so cause with it being base damage the illusions get it too as opposed to just the hero, if I'm understanding how illusions scale off your hero
True but the illusions deal reduced dmg anyway so in the end maybe it's a nerf. Need to do some calculations😂

maybe end game was to seel khanda for skadi? health and heal debuff
I think Bloodthorn is way better than Khanda right? or are support items too strong and you need basher for that to work aswell 🤔
Why is this dawnbreaker healing so insanely fast? they didn't cast anything
please get a decent set for PL, this one looks so ridiculous.
why do the juxtapose illusions die when theres no targets
That's the deal with the Divergent facet. gg
First comment, thanks Purge❤
Idk how I feel about the khanda…
just like the visage facet where you can't control the birds, if you're used to playing PL and micro, this facet is terrible
